Peoples_General Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I know Lego is supposed to have a policy against a military theme. Yet they had two World War 1 planes like the Red Baron and Sopwith Camel. Now keep in mind these are model scale rather than the usual minifig scale. Meaning you really can't depict "Lego people" killing one another with these. The same would apply to the Microscale of things. I present the Lego microscale fighter jet. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/kamikaze...uff/machbox.jpg HOWEVER, Im somewhat skeptical of this. Whether its for real as in being developed by Lego or if its a hoax. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Big reason I think its fake. No set number. Quote
David85 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Hugely fake. But Lego says one thing and does another. They didn't want Star Wars guns but look at the new DINO sets that have guns the size of 2 minifigs. Then they say they don't want "modern" weapons and sets. But the Airplanes you mensioned have guns on it and they are modernish. Lego says one thing to please some people and then does another to please other people. Quote
WesternOutlaw Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Then again, I could see them trying to copy MegaBlocks these days. The model's not that good though. Quote
MattZitron Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 That Helicopter in the dinoset is very Vietnam with the side gun pod. And the Cowboy handguns are pretty modern. Quote
Wolf04 Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 That's so fake, it'sn't (new word :P) funny. Only a person wit special capabilities could detect fake or real sets and I am one of them. I can guarantee you 100% that's fake, better yet, if that's a real set, I wll give you my laptop, computer, my game collection and my mini system, I swear. :-D ;) Quote
The Middleman Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 IT'S REAL! (happy opposite day!) :P Quote
Athos Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 Did anyone check out this guy's brickshelf gallery to see if there were more fakes present? Well to answer my own question: Yes I did. He appears to have done a couple of other fake mini mock ups: Other Fake Minis I don't mean to impune any deceitful motives to the gentleman. And I must say his photoshop skills are quite good. Besides, I don't believe its real. The box's edges are too sharp and clean. It doesn't even look like a real box. Yet another mystery solved, Steve Elementary my dear eurobricks ;) Quote
jonfett Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I had a look at that guys gallery and I was impressed with his Star Wars stuff. His AT-TE beats the Lego one anyday, and he also has a well done AAT box and a great naboo fighter mini! Jon. Quote
#1legofreak Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 totally a fake ;) yes, I could do better :X: Quote
