MstrOfPppts Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 No guard duty as it was first said. I was sent to escort Lord Vader himself to pay Baron Lando Calrissian a visit. We entered a big hall where we met Lando with a few of his guards. Vader pulled their guns out of their hands just in case and ordered Lando to turn over the Millenium Falcon crew when they arrive. Lord Vader was then escorted into the dining hall and we were sent down to the storage chambers to prevent any signs of rebel movement! The overall look: The look at the ceiling: Zoom at the minifigures: The right wall of the hall: The left wall of the hall: The build itself on the outside is quite uninteresting, but it's the interior I focused on! So here's an image of how it's all made and a proof it all fits into 64x64 frame ... Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Clever use of the monitor The lighting in the third picture is great. The architecture is instantly recognizable. Nice entry (for an imperial) Quote
Jacob Nion Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 The use of your monitor is indeed very smart. Don't know what to say- everything about your entry seems to be perfect. I created a folder with Cloud City pics for this episode and now I recognize so many details of the interior. There are nearly to much cool little details to discover and praise in one post, but I definitely have to commend the outdoor elevator, which is one of those random only for fanboys noticeable things making me smile. Wonderful entry with real Cloud City feeling. Quote
MKJoshA Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Your cylinders coming down from the ceiling are spot on from the movie. I wanted to recreate that feel but lacked the pieces to do so. Glad someone else did. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Another fantastic MOC MstrOfPppts! Looks almost like a scene from the movie, the cloud city look is spot-on! And so many details... Quote
Lobot Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Beautiful lighting MstrOfPppts  You've captured the look of Cloud City really well. Excellent work (for the Empire ) Quote
Donnie Bricko Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Excellent MOC...I love the elevator in the backround and the LR torso use for bespin uniforms. Quote
Nom Carver Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Absolutely perfect!!! is like if it were a removed/deleted scene of the movie. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 I love the atmosphere of this MOC. Everything about this build just screams "Cloud City!" The chandeliers are terrific, as is everything else on the ceiling that you went the extra mile to include. Quote
kermit Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Brilliant. I loove how you made this scene and how big it feels. The floor tiling is great too. Quote
TWP Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Great work! It really looks Cloud-city-ish! suggestion: I think it was better to include the outside pic after you received your points! Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 I know what you mean, but the last picture is there just to show the MOC fits into the restricted dimensions. I was thinking about boxing it into blay or dblay, but the lack of pieces and time did not allow me to ... Quote
Dapper-D2 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Wow! Great work, all the details are beautiful and your idea of using the computer screen as a back drop is cool! Another awesome build from you Puppet Master! I may have to use the computer screen idea in the next episode, as I’m terrible at Photoshop. Quote
Sebeus I Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I like the background coming in from the windows, it really adds to the vignette. Quote
Gideon Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Wonderful interior build, the lighting in from the screen really works well Nice to see how it all fits together as well, and I would hope it doesn't lower the score that the outside isn't very presentable. If all had to build their interiors with useless nice exteriors as well, it would after all take time away from the important parts (or additional freebuilds to flesh out the world). Quote
