Scale to the mechs?!

a 1x1 tile? Doubtful!

I think he means that he built the assembly tower on the 1:1 scale, meaning that it's at the same scale as the minifigures.

A Witch Doctor minifigure would be an interesting challenge, considering how he towers over a typical Hero.

Honestly, I can't wait until we can get a good size reference on the HF minifigures so I can start making minifig-scale HF MOCs. I already have a Hero Pod in progress, as well as an Assembly Tower playset.

I think you can approach WD's size in same scale as the HF minifigs using XT4's torso.

Villain minifigures sounds like 2014's MoC project.

That's what I was thinking. Make a constraction villain for the minifig Heroes. That way they can still be big and imposing.

My only problem is that they may be too big considering the beasts follow this pattern. But small bones and XT4 torso should make up for that.

This guy I made a while ago doubles a minifig in height:

But we can always try and do Villain MoCs using system bricks. Biggest issue is the faces.

wait, the 2014 HF sets is in toys fair already? if that's the case, shouldn't we get the final HD pictures easily now?

Note that a lot of the toy fairs do not allow photography of any kind, and others allow it but place heavy restrictions on it. New York Toy Fair is the exception, not the rule.

What kind of photographs ARE allowed under those circumstances?

This year at NY, the SuperHeroes were not allowed pictures.

They're exactly the same size, actually. Notice that the article was published on October 29th, just one day after Mesonak found the pics.

I didn't mean in size... I meant they're higher quality in terms of clarity.

really? i personally didn't see any difference in terms of quality.

The ones on the link that I posted look clearer to me when compared to the ones in Mesonak's gallery.

They are exactly the same images, sorry.

Damnit. I thought they actually were high quality. ;o;

So other than the Minifigs and the beast's heads, what new pieces are we getting exactly?

New feet. Beast's claws/blades (they also appear in a ninjago set, and in a Chima spider set). And... Heroes' mechs' cockpits, and the containers in their backs. Also, I don't know if it was already noticed, but Evo's mechs will bring yellow 5M armors, I think they are welcome.

The cockpit with ballsnap, the two pieces for the jumping bugs (unless you were counting those as minifigures), the transparent cylinder things from the back of some of the machines, the single talon piece that appears in 44016, 44020, and 44021 (also in some Ninjago and Chima sets), the small foot piece from 44016, the large foot piece from 44020... I believe that's all we can currently see from the prelims. Of course, there might also be other structural parts buried inside the models somewhere we can't see them.

?

The one that also appears in the dragon mech from Ninjago (and seems like a bit of a waste not to include claws on, but meh).

Indeed, the new animal like feet come in two sizes. Splitter B. and the Dragon use the bigger one while Jaw B. uses the smaller narrow one. I guess Flyer Beast uses the smaller feet.

Front teased us about new feet, I wonder if that's all? I might be totally wrong on this but...maybe Freeze Machine has smaller version of the Stormer XL feet?

AND TRANSPARENT AZURE BONE PIECES, don't forget those.

I wasn't mentioning recolors. If we want to include recolors and prints, we're also getting Titanium Metallic Stormer XL feet and Savage Planet paws, both of which are most welcome. Not to mention at least a couple new colors for the LEGO City helicopter windscreen, a new printed silver 5M shell in Stormer Freeze Machine, Medium Lilac spikes in Jaw Beast vs. Stormer, and possibly a new color for the Ninjago element sword in Furno & Evo vs. Splitter Beast.

I wonder if the monster heads will be printing or stickers...
