Honestly, I think I'm looking forward to the Rocka Crawler Machine the most. It looks so adorable and I love smaller-scaled sets. Sure it's more Rocka, but I just like the look of it. That and Crystal Beast because I'm a sucker for anything translucent.

Let's get this topic going again: Which of these sets are you guys looking forward to?

I'm looking on getting all the beast sets. Rocka Crawler Machine and Breeze Flea Machine. I have been making modifications of all the sets Via Lego Digital Designer. Once the Summer wave of pieces and the Beast heads get added I'll be able to post pictures. One thing I mainly did. Any set that had flick fire missiles has them removed completely or replaced with the new spring launchers.

I'm planning on buying Tunneler Beast, Crystal Beast, and Rocka's Crawler Machine. Originally I was also planning to buy Queen Beast as well, but I lost interest in the set, plus I don't want to get a fourth Furno and Evo.

I am greatly looking forward to Rocka Crawler Machine, Tunneler Beast, and Breez Flea Machine.

All of them look like fun, well-put-together sets with nice part selections.

Rocka Machine is probably just going to be a parts purchase, it having the Rocka fig w/ new blaster, jumper, and several skeleton and shell pieces that look good to have. And, of course, the red "pod".

Tunneler I might leave together or just modify, because yay quadrupeds, but it also comes with more of the large "talon" pieces, limb pieces, Kaiju head, and Surge w/ blaster.

Flea Machine was originally a must-have because it has Breez, and I didn't want Flyer Beast, but even though that's no longer an issue I still want the set because of all the pieces it has and because yay tripod. Plus another red "pod" and jumper.

(I keep talking about pieces but who am I kidding, I'm going to get these, build them, then never want to take them apart.)

Like with the Winter line, I'm getting the Beast sets but I'm skipping the Machines. I think they're mostly well designed sets (well..I have a lot of reserves about Surge Combat Machine, but still) but since I decided to downsize the Beasts to Hero size in my HF canon I really don't need them (well, except the awesome printed shells).

I'm going to skip Queen Beast too and just buy the pieces I need. I would've bought the Queen alone for 20-something but I don't want to pay 40 Euro to end up with a Machine and 3 minifigs I don't want, so..

So, in the end, I'm excited for the new sets but I'm going to buy just 2 out of 7.

The tunneler beast looks like an awesome set to me. Jaw beast really surprised me and I see a lot of potential in this guy as well. A small simple build that does have a unique look, and I also think it's a breath of fresh air to see a beast without Azure/Trans light blue

And, while it's price may be a bit steep and many may argue about the complexity of it, I think the Queen beast set is on the right track of things. I really want to see more sets that include not only a larger set, but also something smaller in with it, in this case Evo's new machine. With the addition of minifigures, some of the larger sets feel more like playsets to me, and commonly system sets will not only have some larger construction, but also smaller ones. Had the set only been the Queen beast facing three heroes I don't think it would have been as enticing.

However with that said, I don't exactly think the machine that is coming with it is...all that much of a threat. it's just a big mobile container essentially, perhaps the Rocka crawler/climber/jumper/songwriter machine would have been a better "bonus" to the set, but what do I know.

Tunneler Beast is amazing in a lot of ways. I wrote a blog entry on BZPower analyzing how it stacks up against certain BIONICLE canister sets, and on the whole it's quite impressive in terms of value for money.

I don't mind the machine. I'm just sad it's yet another Evo machine...

Agreed here. Now, to be fair, it looks GREAT in yellow, and I fully understand that if it weren't an "extra" machine for Evo it would have probably been an "extra" machine for another hero — the chances of getting a new hero like Stringer or Nex would have been quite slim. But Evo already has two machines, and this machine, being a walker with not just a sphere launcher but also a storage container, ends up making the Evo Walker set look even more pathetic and unnecessary by comparison.

I guess part of the reason it's another machine for Evo is just because he doesn't otherwise appear in any summer sets, and certainly not with a machine. Also it contrasts well with the Queen Beast, and has one of the most vibrant color schemes that could be achieved with parts that were already in production for use in other sets. But most of those factors also apply to Stormer and Furno, the set's other two minifigures, and I can't help thinking that it might have been cooler in one of their color schemes (especially since they only have one machine each). Granted, either of those might have needed new recolors to be as vibrant as Evo's here, which might very easily have been a factor in the decision.

I'll definitely be getting all the beast sets. I'd be getting them regardless of quality of design as I'd use the pieces to build my own. I'll need a Bulk so I'll get his machine set too. I'm rather annoyed they didn't include any more heroes in this story though; at this rate I'll end up with far too many Furnos and Evos. Yellow and red aren't even that interesting colours. If they'd created a new purple hero that would be a different matter...but that's not happening!

Depends on my budget, but Queen Beast for sure. I still haven't gotten any of the winter sets, sadly, so I'll probably just save up and pick from the whole selection once they're out.

I know for sure that my brother and I will be getting Breez Flea Machine and Bulk Drill Machine. Not entirely sure about other sets. I'll have to see Surge & Rocka Combat Machine in more detail before I can decide whether I'll be getting it. Crystal Beast is the only one of the summer sets that I DON'T have any particular interest in.

And then there's the decision of which of the sets that are already out I'll be getting. I still haven't gotten a single beast set, and I know I'll be wanting a few of those.

The only IFB set I've gotten so far is FJM - and it's such an excellent set. The others just don't seem to appeal to me as much. I love the whole mecha/Kaiju thing going on, it's just that the set designs aren't as outstanding to me as the previous waves were. I fully intend to purchase a Beast set sometime in the future, probably either Splitter or the small red one in the summer wave whose name just slipped my mind. Of course, I've yet to consider the mechas of the summer wave, which I'll do so once we get to see the sets in greater detail when reviews start popping up. HF isn't quite doing it for me this year, which is kind of a good thing since much of my constraction budget is going to the Chima sets.

Unfortunately I tend to be a constraction set completist, so my answer to what sets I'll be buying from the summer wave is all of them

That said, I will probably pick up all the beast sets first since they are by far my favourites, but I'm just hoping that the Queen Beast set doesn't turn out to be £34.99 in the UK, but knowing LEGO's love of placing pound signs in front of a set's US dollar value... it's fairly likely :hmpf_bad: . Besides that, I like Queen Beast's design, Tunneler Beast is really attractive to me and I really like the colour scheme of the Crystal Beast (but I'm tempted to mod it so it's almost completely translucent). Out of the mechas (excluding Evo's in Queen Beast), I think I'll get Breez's machine first.

Yeah, British prices are confirmed in this report from the London Toy Fair. And as you say, it's just the USD price with a pound sign in front of it (as is Surge & Rocka Combat Machine). Though at least the LEGO Group didn't do that with the small and medium size sets, which are £8.99 and £12.99 respectively (versus $9.99 and $14.99 in the US).

Nah, they rather do that with an Euro sign. :hmpf_bad:

The prices for the Combat Machine and the Queen Beast set have put me off of them completely. I mean, why would you charge £5 more for a set that has LESS pieces than the XL Machine? And to be honest, the Queen Beast doesn't look enticing at all.

I won't be getting all of the Summer sets. And considering that I bought all of last year's sets without hesitation, that's saying a lot. :c

Oh, what? I'm not sure why I'm surprised, but I'm rather annoyed that they've botched up the currency again! :hmpf_bad: It's not that hard converting prices....

Maybe I won't be so quick in getting the sets, they are more expensive than hoped. Reductions may be necessary. I'll wait for the reviews. They'll help.

Oh, well. I'll just buy Sir Fangar as this year's titan villain for my collection. If someone wanted to, they could probably take the existing Beasts, as well as the summer wave, and build their own Queen.

They didn't botch anything- they are purposefully charging higher prices in Europe than in the US. In many zones, LEGO is considered a premium product, so they price accordingly. Market dictates price. Europe and Australia pay those prices because both zones expect LEGO to be a higher rated you experience, whereas Americans are used to lower price points for toys since only recently has the idea of a high-end premium toy for not just kids become mainstream.

Did anyone else notice that the new HF sets weren't added to LEGO.com today? I'm worried that they might have cancelled the last wave, especially since it seems like everything else was added.

I don't think so... It's unlikely, that LEGO would cancel second wave since we've got an episode with summer sets.

Aren't HF sets due to be released in August ? Anyways, wait for the reviews. I'm sure VBBN will post reviews of the new wave a couple of days / weeks before the official release date.
