You can't be serious. -o- So, you're saying that Argos, the one place that I thought would have all of the sets in by now, only has the three sets that I don't want in stock?

Well, that's the most logical solution to me, so I guess it makes sense that we had the same idea. ^^

Forearms, lower arms... isn't that the same thing ? :look:

Also, I think you can improve the weapon's design. I have nothing against a mace, even if I think a staff fits better the slenderness of the set, but it's a bit "weak", IMO. You don't have to use the same design as Mungus' one, but the hollow space between the two spiked parts bothers me, to be fair. Maybe you could build something out of system to fill it ? Or, if you want to go for something simpler, use something similar to Black Phantom and Gorzan's weapons.

Oh, and you could create a MOD topic, it could be nice.

The only reason I didn't create a MOD topic is that I thought it didn't actually look substantial enough to warrant it's own topic (also see the modded Rocka Crawler), but if a moderator decides it warrants it's own thread, feel free to move all of this :classic:

The hollowness of the weapon bothers me too, but let's be fair, I tried Black Phantom's style of just sticking the two halves together and slapping that on top of an axle, and it actually bothered me even more! I could do something Mungus-esque (without the tubs though) or do something with a tri-connector perhaps, but for now I think it looks just fine. My Crystal Beast isn't really a strongwoman (HF site states the summer wave beasts as being female)

Unfortunately, yes. That's the only three they have, and even then the Queen Beast isn't in the store catalog, it's listed on their website as an online exclusive. See here (as a side note, they've also marked up some of the other IfB sets from the winter wave). I was kinda gutted too, I was hoping to pick up a Tunneler Beast from them, but now they have to all wait until I get to the LEGO Store next week

I can't even go to a Lego store. The nearest thing is the Lego Shop in the Trafford Centre's Discovery Centre, and I go there once every 6 months.

Stupid Argos. Toying with people's wants and needs for the sake of making money.

It could be a topic for all of your Hero Factory IFB MODs, or even for everyone's MODs (yeah, I'm a total badass  ).

This idea also crossed my mind.

Well, to be fair, I had noticed Argos starting to "chop off" what Hero Factory sets they sold, starting with the summer wave of Brain Attack when I believe the only villain they had in the catalog was Dragon Bolt. They didn't really stock the entirety of the first wave of IfB either so didn't really expect them to have them all this time round. But showing a complete disregard for pretty much 70% of the line this time actually made my jaw drop in disbelief  . Needless to say, this year they have failed to get a summer constraction set sale from me for the first time since 2007... if that doesn't speak abundance, I don't know what does to be honest.

I hope that Smyths gets them in soon, if this will be the case. I need my Lego fix, and I can't wait until my birthday to get it. ;o;

Sorry for the double post.

I got Bulk's Drill Machine this morning from Argos. And for a set that I originally didn't want, it's pretty good. The build is fairly unique and the interesting connection between the cockpit and the body holds the cockpit in place really well.

The cocoon is a nice addition to the set, although it's a tad smaller than I originally thought...

Overall, this is a good replacement if you can't get Crystal Beast.

P.S: My Drill Machine didn't come with stickers... -o-

I just found the Queen Beast and Surge Rocka Combat Machine at a Target in the USA.

Excellent! Good to hear they're popping up places aside from Lego Stores.

Even though I'm still unsure which ones I should pick up first...

I picked up the Combat Machine, because I needed Rocka and Surge. After building it, I realized that I like it much more than I thought I would

Yeah, I saw LegoJang's (JangBricks. Whatever)review on it, and it doesn't look too bad. Kinda want to get it just so I can make an opinion. I'll get it eventually, just don't know when.

I checked in The Entertainer today, but the sets were nowhere to be seen. Argos only stocks the Drill and Combat Machines, the two sets I had no intention of buying, so I picked up Chi Mungus instead.

I got the Crystal Beast for the transparent parts. Much smaller than I thought, but it still looks pretty cool, with the transparent parts and all. I think I might get back into buying HF sets.

Too impatient to wait, I've ordered Crystal Beast, Tunneler Beast, and both Rocka's Crawler and Stealth Machines from Lego Shop.

Went to the Lego Store on Friday. Couldn't help myself and got the whole lot. Only built the Drill Machine and the Rocka Crawler. Both are fun, but still warming up to the crawler's strange pose-ability.

Toys R Us has the sets in stock as well, but Walmart and Target do not. Though I'm not surprised considering their Hero Factory stock in recent days.

As it happens every year on August 1st, sets are available on S@H. Ordered two copies each of Crystal and Tunneler Beast.

I ordered the Evo Walker and Crystal Beast on Friday, with Vardy, Cragger, and the Exo-Suit.

Crystal Beast seems to be popular, which isn't surprising given his inventory. Also, I was surprised to see that the Queen Beast set costs 40€ here. I didn't plan on buying it, but 40€ seems a bit too high anyways. :hmpf_bad:

I'm still waiting for my local Sainsbury's to stock at least a few of the new sets. It's almost like HF and Chima are just shelf warmers, over here in the UK. :c

I picked up all the new sets at Westfield Shepherds Bush yesterday. I honestly have to say, the Queen Beast is kind of on the small side compared to all my modified Beasts, so no two ways about it, I'll have to mod her as well to be a little bit bigger

Still waiting for the combiner instructions to become available on LEGO.com though, so I can build my own version of the scorpion beast. I don't know why they can't just put them online at the same time they put all the main model instructions online though :hmpf_bad:

i don't know about HF, but chima is a self warmer here too in indonesia. the first wave still available in all toys store here, even after goes on 40% sale.

HF sells quite nicely here actually, and I'm sure BIONICLE is going to be a huge success. Chima doesn't seem to get as much love though...

I bought Tunneler and Crystal for Beast building. I'm skipping the Queen because I'm not interested in Evo's Machine and I already have the minifigs included. And 40 Euro is too much for that, yes. : / I'm getting the pieces I need and I'll build my own Queen.

Got the Combat Machine and Queen Beast sets for my birthday; stoked to build these. Combat Machine first, I think...

Nice! Could you post some pictures when you're finished, please?

I haven't bought any new Hero Factory sets in a while, but at Brickfair Virginia I managed to get a lot of useful parts from Splitter Beast in the BZPower Parts Draft. Check out my haul! Hopefully I should be able to make some awesome MOCs now, including beast MOCs. I also bought some other loose parts from a vendor, including several which should prove useful.

Built the Combat Machine, which is pretty cool. Rocka's part is a little dopey, but apparently it's designed to accept the Flea Machine and Drill Machine parts as alternatives, which is really cool (if I had them!). Gonna build Queen Beast next!
