Oh, I can finally see how the Queen's wings work. I assumed they used the same pieces the Spider Tribe sets use as legs from the very start.. but they seemed too short.

Now I can see Spinlyn clearly, the new leg pieces aren't one piece, the section with clip and the claw being two existing pieces we know well. The new piece has a pin on one end and a hole on the other. That means those pieces are MODULAR! Each wing "finger" on the Beast Queen is made by three spider legs connected together, with a claw at the end. And since it's a handle bar connection, that means they can attach to cladding in the same way the "feathers" from the Chi Ultrabuild birds did. And you can use them as fingers too. AND, either way, you can adjust their length.

I have no clue how the wings are built now, those pieces look pretty small. Yes, they might be FB wings I guess. But I hope they try something different for a large set.

Still, nice pieces as fingers/claws.

That Bulk image makes me wonder what color his minifigure's head is going to be- black, or bluish like his eyes?

Just rewatched the trailer, and Flyer Beast's wings look basically the same as the set. So, I don't think the Queen is using the same Ben 10 giant spikes.

There won't be any Chima Ultrabuilds this year. All About Bricks confirmed that when they leaked the HF 2014 set names. :c

Their list concerned only winter sets. We might still get Chima UB this spring/summer. At least I hope so.

Ikkad55's idea is brilliant and works perfectly on paper.

I can't believe I forgot the Ultrabuilds. We'd get some always appreciated tr. green from the bad guys, and given their new look some silver from the heroes. I heard this year's figures sold well so there might be hope.

We should find out soon, Summer sets always pop up around Christmas.

Could be none of the above. After all, Rocka and Breez also have blue eyes in the trailer, even though Rocka has green eyes and Breez has red eyes in the sets. I think in the episode, all the heroes are likely to have the same bluish eye color.

Not sure how this exactly pertains to Hero Factory. Naturally it is a very "boy-oriented" brand, but there was never any issue where a "girl-oriented" brand went to any special lengths to set itself apart from Hero Factory, since there haven't BEEN any girl-oriented constraction sets. Meanwhile, the article manages to miss the point that the new figs for LEGO Friends were created in part because a lot of girls weren't interested in playing with traditional minifigure-based sets, and the LEGO Group NEEDED to create a special figure to convince girls and gift-givers that the toys were "for them". But at any rate, that discussion belongs in a completely different topic.

My guess is Bulk's helmet is going to have his face molded on it.

Even if so much of the face is exposed and there are no printed eyes, at worst it'll look like a large visor. Also consider the possibility that this helmet in the game trailer might be like the helmets in BIONICLE: The Legend Reborn or some of the other helmets from the HF television series, in which case it would have sections that retract outside of battle scenes.

I'm used to see Bulk's helmet as a giant visor, due to the eyes on the Glatorian head being hard to notice. So I won't mind if his minifig form works like Aanchir said. Actually, I prefer the look, it makes him more robotic and "brutal" so to speak.

Hey, guys, do you remember the (possibly) articulated arms Aanchir found in Lego's database a couple months ago ? Now we're absolutely sure they won't be used for HF minifigs, so their actual purpose is still a mystery...

Also, something I wondered (maybe I should ask on one of the reviews' topic). VBBN, could you show us how does the Machines' cockpit look like with other canopies (especially this and this) ?

The closest thing I can compare them to are the dinosaur tail sections (3 pieces), but they do not look identical.

While I like the concept of the queen, as a SC2-like queen figure. I am very disappointed by the design if the toy happens to be close to the thing in the show. It certainly seems smaller than I hoped for a big bad in this season.

That's why I said they're not the same pieces (partly because the dino tail forms a continuous curve and the Queen has visible sections on its wings, partly because of the connection you mentioned).

Whoops sorry, I was too hasty in reading your post.

Maybe there's a new piece similar to the dino tail base, a long curved piece with an axle connection on one end and a pin hole on the other, so you can stick one of the new spider legs in.
