Vinyl Scratch Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 With Stringer, his set designs are (from a kid's point of vew) pretty dull, due to his Black colour. I'm not surprised that Lego don't really make him anymore. Unless of course they bought him back with some brighter coloured armour or something... Changing bright orange to a transparent blue wasn't a nice move I guess. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 The earlier picture of the new Jumper looks very bright (considering the shades are exactly that of two already existing parts), supporting the argument that those parts are mixed with GitD. Quote
bacem Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 just realized that surge & rocka combat machine has less piece than evo xl machine (188 pieces to 193 pieces) hopefully they make this up with the set containing more usefull skeleton, or other usefull parts, just like what they did with scorpio. Fikko3107 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 (edited) Is it just me or has no one seen and/or discuss this video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnjfwQg3YQ It shows what most the summer sets seem to will look like. Sure, it's all animated, but still... EDIT: I don't know what just happened. I put in a youtube link and instead it just shows a blank white space... Edited January 22, 2014 by Fikko3107 Quote

If it's the Invasion From Below 20ish minute mini-movie with meh-tier voice acting, then yeah we've been talking about it for a few pages. Quote
Aanchir Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Incidentally, if the British HF prices correspond to US prices the way that sets typically have in the past, then Queen Beast vs. Furno, Evo, and Stormer will be between $40 and $60. No matter what the exact price, that makes it the most expensive set since Drop Ship. But of course, as we know, it also includes a machine for Evo, so not all 217 pieces will be used for the Queen herself. Quote
Shakar Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Did you find the British prices somewhere? 60 Euro (since, while incorrect, they always make a 1:1 conversion between dollars and Euro) sounds way too much. Rocka Jet Machine was 35 Euro for 259 pieces, though there were no new molds or recolours (except the tr. green cockpit I think). 40 Euro would be...decent I guess, but still overpriced IMO. Quote
Leewan Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Just found this on Faberfiles. I hope he'll soon show more than this banner. 60€ is too much for Queen Beast vs. Furno, Evo and Stormer. I'm rather hoping for a price tag between 30 and 35€ for it. And a box, maybe. Quote
Dorek Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 He's had that banner up for a while. I imagine after the episode is released officially, he'll start showing us concepts or whatever. We're not even at the end of January yet, when you think about it, and yet we have most of the year laid bare before us. Quote

Lights and ammo belts on the shoulders, beefy arms, blaster in the right hand, bulky left hand? The only difference is the legs, and that could just be preliminary or a stylistic decision. Quote
Bigger Fish Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Am I the only one that's kinda disappointed that the combo model of all the wave 1 machines wasn't some super ultra deluxe megazord voltron combining mech but just a slightly upgraded Evo xl machine? Quote

Shakar Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) That just strengthens my argument more. Yes, it's 3 minifigs, a big villain and a small mech, but 217 pieces for anything more than 40 Euro is absurd: The Queen alone is a 20 Euro set, the spider Machine with Evo is a 10 Euro set, add Stormer, Furno and some equipment... Yeah, 35 Euro is reasonable. I can tolerate 5 more Euro, for the play value and the Queen's unique printed elements. Anything beyond is just too much. I just hope Surge's Machine doesn't go beyond the 25 Euro price point. Edited January 23, 2014 by Shakar Quote

Shakar Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Ah, thanks! That seems much better. Surge Combat Machine (Honestly Battle Machine sounded better, oh well) is 25 Euro, slightly less pieces than Evo XL Machine but better play value IMO. Quote

DraikNova Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 Ah, thirty-five euros, a nice and reasonable price, and one that will still allow me to buy about three of them. Quote
ShadowWolfHount Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 (edited) Of what SmoothJazz have shown, i really hope that the price because again there no way I'm paying $60 for that set Edited January 23, 2014 by ShadowWolfHount Quote

Leewan Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Don't think this has been reported here : the cocoons the Queen was seen holding in the episode are confirmed by brickset : The most interesting aspect were 'cocoon'-like pieces that the HF minifigs can be put inside once captured. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Yup, those things sound awesome. Hopefully they have axles, instead of the horrible axle holes that made later Bionicle masks fall off every five minutes. If they do, I have a starting point for a HF plant monster (a la Biollante). Quote
