ShadowWolfHount Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 This new Rocka set was revealed on Lego Leaks Mexico! Oh hey, it's the yellow Rocka again but instead of being in Evo Titan Mech, he is in his own yellow mech. Quote
Aanchir Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 (edited) Wasn't Anchor Machine the name given by the translation from hungarian ? Yeah. So "Flea Machine" (revealed at London Toy Fair) is more likely to be the official name used in English. Kind of an odd name, but maybe it's supposed to refer to its multiple legs? I like the quirky look of the machine (trans-anything chainsaws are always welcome) but I think I'll save my money for the Surge/Rocka set. I don't think the chainsaws are transparent. They could just be Warm Gold. The color doesn't look a whole lot different than the shells, which are likely to be Warm Gold. As a small, I like this a bit better than Evo Walker, but it does seem a bit bare-bones. I wonder if the cocoon is part of the reason for that. Also, I still have to wonder what color blue will be used for the blue-backed jumpers that appear in several of these pics. Edited January 27, 2014 by Aanchir Quote
Dorek Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Looks like it matches the translucent elements to me, but considering that it was some metallic color in the episode, it probably will be warm gold. Ooooh well. Anyhow, the flea reference seems like it would refer to the general shape, as well as its "jumping" ability. Quote
Kalhiki Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 The sets are shaping up to be pretty cool. But I'll have to wait till Toy Fair to make further judgments. From what I can see, Crystal Beast's horn seems to be a solid color. Possibly GitD, but I'm only saying this due to the rumors from a while ago. There may be a faint glow around them in the picture, but it's hard to tell. Flea Machine (hate that name. Much prefer "anchor") looks nice as well. Seems that the claw bit is just a projectile. Kinda sad there's no tether for it. My favorite is still Rocka's Crawler. Just love its smallness. Quote

VBBN Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 can someone remind me when will NY toy fair start? so i know when to expect pictures. Toy Fair 2014 will take place February 16-19, 2014 (Sunday-Wednesday) at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and showroom locations. The show hours are 10:00am-6:00pm on Sunday, 9:00am-6:00pm Monday & Tuesday and 9:00am-4:00pm on Wednesday. Hopefully the setup is decent (in 2012 they had some terrible angles for photos) and the hosts construct the sets properly.. Quote
Bob C Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Hopefully we get decent photos, I rmember in 2012 they had it set up for some horrid angles I hate when the toy news sites take these horrible closeups of the minifigs and don't actually cover the sets well. Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Hopefully the setup is decent and the hosts construct the sets properly.. Name one year they had the sets properly. I really dare you. Closest out there was 2013. Quote
VBBN Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Well now everyone can see how many times I edit a post before I'm happy with it (look at both of your guys' quotes versus my post) But yeah, Action Figure themes are especially a nightmare for proper construction, and let's not think about the posing they have done. Part of me wonders if they are in a rush, but you would think they try to make the sets look as appealing as possible Quote
Zenerius Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 So, we'll get photos on Wednesday..... Well, can't wait to see! I'm a very impatient person, in case you haven't found that out yet. Let's hope these sets are as good as we've been speculating... Quote
BrickBuilder3213 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I hope that we get a whole FLOOD of Hero Factory and Chima Ultrabuild photos. I really want to get a good idea of what sets I will be buying on my birthday. Quote
Logan McOwen Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 The German Toy Fair is on Wednesday, so we'll get pictures then. But, the NYTF is February 16th. Heeeell yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Quote

Shakar Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Rocka Crawler Machine has always been a skip to me, this just confirms it. The Beasts are doing much better at that price point (I love Jaw Beast, and Tunneler Best looks pretty neat). And looking at Crystal Beast again, looks like he's bigger than I thought. If you look at his right arm closely, you can see there's a tr. light blue piece right before his hand, which is very similar to a 3M shell. In the animated movie, his lower limbs used these, but in order to attach a shell you'd obviously need a longer bone with a ball joint. The lower legs look exposed, but that could be just a visual effect of the transparent shells. My guess is that CB was originally a small Beast, but then the set was turned into a mid size one: that would explain the shorter limbs and the missing staff. It's not the first time an animated episode shows sets in preliminary form: in Brain Attack, Stormer's visor printing was the same as Furno's and his sword was tr. blue. Quote
BrickBuilder3213 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 So sorry for going off topic, but... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=91370#entry1806618 Quote
DraikNova Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 About ze Kaiju Kween : Beautiful zet iz beautiful. I love ze cocoon piecez, and the fact that we're getting them in blue and green just in this set alone makes it that much better. Plus, Jumpers (and Queen's parts) in bright blue confirmed, although they look rather silly. I wonder if the cocoon pieces will be rubber rather than plastic. Don't ask about the weird phonetic replacement stuff, I have no idea what I was thinking then. About Surge&Rocka Combat Machine: Pretty much what LEGOJang did, plus a red cocoon (HF Biollante, here we come!) and green jumper. Plus, blue stud shooters! Time to start building up an arsenal. About Crystal Beast: YEEEEES!! MORE TRANSLUCENT BLUE ARMOR SHELLS AND BONES YES! That's all I have to say. Oh, and he appears to be dunking something in a cocoon, which seems to be a green Jumper but is probably Bulk. About the Flea Machine: Seems I was right about the Bohrok eyes. Again, pretty much LEGOJang's build, along with a red cocoon and this time an orange-blue Jumper. What's that strange bluish thing on top, too far to be the cockpit? About Rocka's Climbing Mech: Ditto, he seems to be falling out of his seat. About Tunneler Beast: Waiting for the pictures. Overall, I'm glad I left enough room in my budget to get two or, in the case of some sets, three (and 4 in the case of Jaw Beast, but that's neither here nor over there where stuff is exploding ) of each set. Can't wait for Wednesday! Quote
Dorek Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) Bulk's is a lot more... orange than I expected. Edited January 28, 2014 by Dorek Quote
howie28 Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Yeah, but it looks alright. And there appears to be a new mini Kaiju with a blue and lime colour scheme. Quote
Dorek Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 The minifig is actually silver (you can see it best on the actual packaging) but the orange color scheme is pretty interesting. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 Yes! More pictures. About Bulk's Drilling Machine: Hard to see, but while the green-and-blue jumper looks remarkably silly (but comes with a blue pod, which reduces rarity), the actual vehicle seems rather nice. A lot of orange, but it's pretty good. Also, new, beautiful art. Also, how is Crystal Beast a new set? We already saw that picture. Quote
Shakar Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 (edited) "..some Breaking Bad s**t?" I guess it's the way Crystal is holding the staff? For what it's worth, the Chima Mammoth vehicle features tr. light blue ball sockets.. Maybe they'll show up in CB, otherwise they're going to be used in the ice villains in the new CHI wave (I'd be surprised if they weren't reused). But CB is looking more..transparent than I thought. Maybe even his head is transparent. As for Drill Machine, that is sweet tr. flame orange! It seems the Chima sets, on the fire side, are using it too.. I'm not sure but it looks too yellowish for it to be tr. reddish orange. One of those transparent pieces is the Pyrox claw in Laval's Fire Lion (which also gives us Savage Planet paws in yellow). I wonder if that means something for the CHI Ultrabuilds. I've been wanting tr. flame orange shells since forever. It'd be great if the boring tr. reddish orange was finally dethroned. EDIT: just realized the colour is being already used in the Heroes' equipment.. there are the rockets in Freeze Machine and the chains used in the Flyer Beast and Splitter Beast sets. It seems a lot less meaningful now, but I'm still hoping. Edited January 28, 2014 by Shakar Quote
VBBN Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I'm really hoping that is a trans orange canopy on the drilling machine, but I was tricked with that illusion on the Jet Machine so I'm not confident.. Quote
