DraikNova Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I wonder whether the finalized version of CB will include those new claw-tip pieces found in Chima's Fangar Mech. It seems like such a useful and fitting part (for foot decoration) that it would be strange for LEGO not to use it. Quote
Zenerius Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 One more day until Toy Fair. Like most of you have already said, let's hope that the sets are constructed properly and we get good photos. So, who is going to go to the fair? I know I'm not, I'd like to stay here in the US. :p Quote

Zenerius Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Weren't taking pictures prohibited this time around? That's what I thought at first. I heard that it was prohibited at the London Toy Fair, but not the German one. Could be wrong, though. Let's hope I'm right :3 Quote
Aethersprite Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 That's what I thought at first. I heard that it was prohibited at the London Toy Fair, but not the German one. Could be wrong, though. Let's hope I'm right :3 Apparently pics aren't allowed at Nuremburg this year as well, unfortunately. Hopefully the New York one doesn't follow suit. That said, since we pretty much know what the summer HF sets look like thanks to the TV special and the game, I'd rather get good looks at the Chima Ultrabuilds. Quote
Vinyl Scratch Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Don't photos usually come from the New York Toy Fair? Quote
Mesonak Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Don't photos usually come from the New York Toy Fair? Yeah, but for the last few years we've got extensive coverage of Nuremberg, both in picture AND video format, showing off all (or nearly all) of the sets. I'm hoping that's the case this year; I don't know why it wouldn't be, unless their policies have changed. Quote
Zenerius Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Don't photos usually come from the New York Toy Fair? You're right.... I agree with Stratos. Hopefully we can get pictures from the NY Toy Fair. Also, I guess we do have a good idea of what the new sets may look like (LEGOJANG'S mocs, preliminaries, game, etc.) but I also wanted a good look at those new Chima sets. Oh well, more waiting. ---Vertea--- Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 well doesn't the NY Toy Fair happen tomorrow? Quote
Tanaku2010 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Just a head's up: There are Invasion parts available for purchase in the Bricks & Pieces section of LEGO's customer service. Shipping is flat $2.95. Quote
Front Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) The toy fair in Nurnberg (Germany) never allowed pictures at booths. Actually you can't just walk into many booths, you need an appointment. The toy fair is for costumers, not consumers. Erland Part Design Edited January 29, 2014 by Front Quote

TheRedGuy Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Isn't it... Y'know... an act of theft to get parts through the replacement parts service? Not if you pay for it. Quote
Logan McOwen Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Not if you pay for it. Wait... You can buy replacement parts, even if you didn't own the set? This changes everything. Quote
Shakar Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) Not on all countries though (you just have to resort to PaB in Italy, last time I checked). Huh, nevermind.. you can buy stuff now! TONS of stuff missing from PaB too, including pieces from OoF! Oh man.. Edited January 29, 2014 by Shakar Quote
Bob C Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Wait... You can buy replacement parts, even if you didn't own the set? This changes everything. The two times I planned to buy replacement parts (2003 and 2012) they did waaayy more than I expected. Both times it was free and the first time they gave me some free stuff (don't remember what) Quote
DraikNova Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Things that are still missing include the windscreens, and the blank winter lower/summer upper jaw piece has apparently either been ordered to bits or not been produced enough. I was planning to order a handful of the new claw pieces, maybe a few assorted jumpers and several blank black heads (both upper and lower jaws). Those parts are some of the most useful in Hero Factory, and I get the feeling that each wave has and will contribute one more piece which will be used for many waves afterward. Quote

I just remember getting pics of the Castle sets last year, I suppose that was just some kind of a leak. Quote

MakutaNocturn Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 Wait... You can buy replacement parts, even if you didn't own the set? This changes everything. In my country I always got replaced parts for free. Quote
Zenerius Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 What?! You can order IFB parts?! Awesome! Too bad it doesn't have all of them though, and I won't be able to buy any. Quote
VBBN Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 well doesn't the NY Toy Fair happen tomorrow? No that is midway through the month. And I'll have to check out the parts available, might really help with some of the things Bl overcharges for. Edit; They don't tell you how much it costs until you place the order? Quote

Well, it does if you set your country as Great Britain, so it might be a feature they're planning to roll out for the rest of the world eventually. Anyway, it's definitely a neat feature that I probably don't take advantage of as often as I should. Quote
BrickBuilder3213 Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 (edited) Still no sign of any Tunneler Beast prelims or images? That's annoying. I was counting up how many cocoons of each colour we'd be getting, from looking at each of the prelims. -3- So far there's three red ones (Rocka Crawler, Breez Flea Machine and Surge & Rocka Combat Machine), two green ones (Crystal Beast Vs Bulk and Queen Beast Vs Furno, Evo and Stormer) and one blue one (Bulk Drill Machine). On another note, I wonder which colour of cocoon will come with Tunneler Beast Vs Surge... Any guesses? Edited January 29, 2014 by BrickBuilder3213 Quote
Zenerius Posted January 29, 2014 Posted January 29, 2014 I'm so glad they introduced those cocoon parts. I wonder if they will be used in any System sets. About the Tunneler Beast, I think we will get a green cocoon. Quote
