November 10, 201410 yr Great set and review! I gotta get me one of these at some point... Love the Futuron version, too!
March 7, 20159 yr That Futuron colour swap MIB looks fantastic, job well done. Jang reviewed the set today. It looks awesome! That's because It is awesome! I'm a happy owner my self.
March 7, 20159 yr Nice review. Thanks for posting it. Very detailed. I so wanted one of those crater base plates back in the day! And those boxes with the flip top lids how great were they? I went to buy my first lego set after my dark age and the first thing I tried to do was open the non existent lid :D
March 8, 20159 yr I totally missed the whole Blacktron thing due to my Dark Ages - but I saw that Jangbricks review today - and wow - that's a very cool space base. I love the two rack and pinion features - so cool the way that launch area opens out.
March 9, 20159 yr I was *this* close to Bricklinking it, until it turns out that over 4/5 of the parts I already have, as lost of it is just standard bricks... Thus, it seems like I only need to pay $36 to buy the remainder of the parts of Bricklink!
March 10, 20159 yr I made an alternate version (Futuron) very nice indeed my friend - Futuron & Blacktron were great themes I totally missed the whole Blacktron thing due to my Dark Ages - but I saw that Jangbricks review today - and wow - that's a very cool space base. I love the two rack and pinion features - so cool the way that launch area opens out. on a side note: wow to those 3 pics of the Aliens LEGO you have in your avatar (or how is it named, ah, this english, it kills me, really ) - is it your work? is it render or real build? BTW 6987 Message Intercept Base - I am also one of those few amongst us having this great set...ehm, besides all the other LEGO Space sets that were ever build (OK, actualy like 10 sets still missing, but all the others are here )
