I think the motorbike is a bit too..... much. Reminds me of the Catwoman Pursuit set. other then that all other three sets are great!

Too much? It is similar to the Catwoman pursuit but there's only so much you can do in a $13 set with a motorcycle.

I love these! I might need to pick some of last year's sets up! Any suggestions? (I have the polybag)

Baxter's Robot Rampage is amazing, but the Turtle Lair is GOAT. I need to pick up the Lair set. You can find Baxter's Robot Rampage for cheap, as it has been going on sale a lot recently.

GOAT?

I'm really curious to see the inside of the sub. That can really make or break the set for me. I really started liking the Shellraiser set once we saw better pictures of the underside and inside. Still regret not picking that set up.

And does it bother anyone else that Leo was the only one not to get a 'tactical' variant figure?

Doesn't the version in the Turtle Sub have the tactical design?

I picked up the Lair, the cheapest set (forget the name) and the Dragon bike just to have Shredder and the four turtles. Not a huge fan of the smaller sets I have but the lair is a decent set. It doesn't really fit well into a display setup with other sets, imo, but I like the details on it a lot. I've heard the Shellraiser is good but couldn't fit it in my budget really and I don't need Dogpound.

I hear that, I like the outside a lot, really wanna see the interior.

I'm glad to see Leo in a smaller set. I didn't want to shell out a lot of money to collect all four of the turtles.

Nice pun!

I agree! An exclusive Leo in the small set makes that set. Karai also comes in the $70 film set, so I wonder if this version of her will be exclusive.

I'd bet so, I imagine the film version will look different, being based on an actor instead of a cartoon.

It's also mind-boggling why they get so many while we're stuck with the same crappy Spider-Man over and over

I suspect we keep getting the same Spider-Man because all of the Spider-Man sets are tied to the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon and that cartoon only has one style for Spidey. (I suspect it was Marvel that made the decision, not LEGO since it seems that Marvel wants to promote Ultimate Spider-Man rather than other versions of Spidey.)

The cartoon actually does feature the Iron Spider costume. I think Black Suit spidey too. Would be cool if we could get a Miles Morales version, maybe he'll make his way into the show somehow (since he's from the ultimate universe in the comics).

Funny how Leo is the only Turtle not to have a new costume.

I love the Leatherhead minifigure. Too bad he comes in the most expensive set.

I ultimately like the set builds better this wave, but I liked the characters better in the first wave. I also only bought the right sets to have shredder, splinter, and the four turtles. And I picked up a few extra for soldiers, just to relive my youth of the 90s. I may pick up the cheapest set for the figures and then wait and see how the movie sets look.

He found them here.

Thanks, but it seems he had his post edited!

Can't wait to own that Karai, and I agree the previous posts that Baxters Robot Rampage is a great place to start, the build is great (though the legs aren't that sturdy) and April, Don and Baxter are great starter figs, it was also the first TMNT set I bought, and the only other one I have is Shredders Dragon bike (which has a very awkward design).

I like the Karai set from the picture we have. I don't know anything about the character (Was she in the 80s cartoon?) but the figure looks promising. A new hair mold is always welcome. Is it also the first time that motorcycle is in black? Leo looks battle damaged, too. Neat.

Spiderbytes seems accurate to the show but I didn't like him all that well there either. I'd actually be more interested in how Vick looks and if he could be used to make other characters.

I haven't seen far enough into the new show to see the T-Rawket. The set doesn't excite me, though.

Not a fan of how Leatherhead looks. He wasn't my favorite character from the old cartoon, so he's not exactly high on the priority list for me. The sub itself is very nice looking.

Really, I knew it would take something more than this for me to get interested in a further wave after getting all four turtles last year. I"m sure the target audience will be all over these, though. They look like they'd really appeal to kids who would otherwise buy action figures.

I'm unsure if she appeared in the 80's cartoon, but I know that she did appear in the 2007 TMNT animated film, and she has appeared prominently in their comics for years, so she isn't a made up character, if that was what you were trying to get behind.

And was Leatherhead a character before this? I'm not big on the Turtles so I wouldn't be surprised if I wasn't aware of his presence.
