I wasn't implying that Karai wasn't an official character, only that the media that I've encountered hasn't had her in it. I watched the old cartoon and the old movies. I watched the first few episodes of the new cartoon since the library had a copy of it, but she hadn't appeared yet.

So really all I'm saying is that I'm unfamiliar with her but the minifigure looks interesting.

I want Leatherhead so badly for my Croc tribe :)

I'm in the same boat. I use the Chima figs with some of my castle stuff and my croc tribe could use a big brawny chieftain.

Doesn't the version in the Turtle Sub have the tactical design?

The turtle sub just has the breathing mask version. The tactical variants all have specially coloured torsos.

In other news, an image has been floating around of a Halloween costume of the new movie Mikey

How should we expect the figure..?

Oh god it's hideous.

I love that small set. I don't know the new cartoon, so I don't know who that Karai is, and why is her long ear glowing, but she looks nice.

That Karai set is brilliant  . Easily a definite buy for me, especially as Karai has currently been one of my favourite characters from the show so far. The build of the Mutation Chamber isn't great in itself, but I'm certainly impressed with the Raph variant. It does surprise me that they chose Spiderbytez to be in this set though, seeing as he has only appeared once so far. I'm not really sure what to think of the T-Rawket set really. The T-Rawket isn't bad, and the Mikey and Donnie variants are good, but from what I've seen of Series 2 so far, I don't really like Kirby Bat (or whatever it's supposed to be called). That Kraang ship that comes with it doesn't impress me too much either. The Turtle Sub is very good and accurate to the show, plus it comes with Leatherhead  . Overall, this wave looks like another great wave from this theme. Now here's hoping that the movie sets don't disappoint either.

Karai is a brilliant character. You find out really important stuff in the s1 finale, and they focus on it in the second episode of s2 (they have only shown up to that in the uk).

Her ears are normal size, it appears to be long and glowing because that is part of her hair piece, her hair is black and blonde.

Absolutely love all these sets. Especially the sub.

I remember as a nipper there being over a hundred different turtle figs available! I've posted some stuff on my flickr stream with the guys in different outfits. I'm surprised no-one hasn't done some color blocking with them before :)

Some of the new mutants look terrible IMO but it's all new parts so we mustn't grumble!

Dear Gods! Once seen it cannot be unseen!

When it comes to the inclusion Spiderbytez, I think it has something to do with the fact that the new spider leg part made for a major storyline in Chima could be re-used. The same way they re-used the man-bat arms originally designed for Monster Fighters.

Thanks for the images just2good! The turtle sub is the best TMNT set yet IMO. I might get it, it looks so adorable:D. The other sets are quite meh, but I also like the black fat beast.

That Turtle Sub! Very accurate on the outside, can't wait to see the inside. And that Leatherhead minifig. I'm probably getting all those sets, for the minifigures alone. Spider-Bytez, Vic (who would be a good civilian character), Kirby Bat, Leatherhead and Karai. And with the Turtle lair, perhaps putting trains tracks around the lair would be a good idea (T-Rawket and Shellraiser).

Hmmm... So are those three remaining un-revealed sets going to be from the TV show, or from the new live-action movie?

$100 Turtle Lair Invasion (They just did a $50 "lair attack" set from the TV show, so maybe this is from the movie?)

$70 Big Rig Snow Getaway (This one could be from either one... perhaps the fifth set in the Fall TV show wave?)

$40 Turtle Van Takedown (Again, they just did a $60 "van" from the TV show, so maybe this is from the movie?)

If so, it might make me glad I didn't get the original versions of those sets yet, although I totally love the show!

Also, for reference, here is an image featured on ComicBookMovie.com. The newer Lego minifigs will be olive and dark green.

I think it's already been semi-confirmed (though I don't remember the source) that the other sets are all movie tie-ins.

Ah, so only three movie sets? Are they being cautious, or are they simply saying that 7 total Turtle sets is enough?

Or will they do a few more last-minute set announcements if the buzz about the movie is good as more info gets out?

Probably a little of both. Even with Michael Bay attached (maybe especially with Michael Bay attached) the movie is kind of up in the air right now. A lot of people are skeptical and even with the new show pretty successful it's kind of a gamble as to how well it will do. The last Turtles movie didn't rake in insane amounts of money, as I recall. It didn't flop or anything but we didn't see any sequels, either.

Add to the fact that other than the Avengers, Lego hasn't always had the best luck with movie tie-in sets. I don't get the idea the Iron Man 3 or Man of Steel sets are flying off the shelves like mad, Lone Ranger obviously didn't either. Same for Prince of Persia and the non-boat PotC sets. They're probably treading lightly. And 7 sets is a pretty decent wave for a fairly new theme anyway.

And god awful too. I'm not a huge TMNT fan, more of a casual compared to SW and DC, but I do have all the turtles and will probably get a few from this wave to, but I hope they keep the same mold for these movie figures. They can make them darker green, but if they change the mold... Once it is done it can never be undone.

This makes me fear the movie even more.

Pants and shoes. Human lips that look like they're put on in the style of a comedy where they poorly smack someone's lips on a still frame of someone else's face.

You understand that's not what they look like, and is fan-made? Been on the internet for a couple of years now.

That image is actually not for the film. It's been around for a some time.

On the other hand, this image surfaced earlier this week. It's a Halloween costume from a licensee, but it definitely gives an idea of the direction they're going: http://www.superhero...r-design-teased

Just posted that on the last page.

It's making me cringe

I found these on DVD Mart! :sweet:

Currently, this is a Eurobricks exclusive!

My favorite is the Karai set. The Turtle Sub doesn't impress me.

That set has me in heaven. Besides the obvious Karai figure, I'm in the middle of MOC'ing a modular 177A Bleeker Street. I'm just drooling over that sign.
