Ultron Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Here's Shredder: He looks really sweet. Can't say the same about the turtles unfortunately.. Quote
Faefrost Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 The transformers films are far from extraordinary filmmaking but the cgi is impressive and they are somewhat enjoyable if you like large scale battles. Besides I think turtles will be a bit less lets destroy a city and a bit more hand to hand combat ninja action with hopefully a decent story/script. I fear you may be somewhat underestimating Mr. Bay's fetish for massive and ongoing explosions. It will not surprise me if Raph has traded in his Sai for hand grenades. At least the sets from the movie look kinda interesting. Although I think I still prefer the Nik based ones. The Nik sets seem to have a more cohere ant logic behind them, and seem better scaled to each other. That big foot truck in the movie set seems oddly proportioned. A little too wide for city, but still feels to skinny. The turtle van feels too wide by comparison. And while the lair looks really cool it looks kinda medieval for the sewers? I can't wait to get a better look at the figs. Quote
lord raphael Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 On the youtube viedo on http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86936&st=375 on the 2nd minute 15th second you can see as the camera turns around on the right side the truck with three henchmen with olive pants and I caught a glimpse of April with dark orange hair. legofreak86 Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I watched an episode or two of the nick animated series today on the TiVo box. I was surprised and impressed with how good it was. The backstory between shredder and splinter was surprisingly quite clever and the animation Is excellent. Shredder's fight with splinter was the best part of the episode! Very well animated! I swear I've heard shredder's voice actor before! Anyways got the lair a few days ago on impulse so I may have to get the dragon bike next week and the smallest set to get shredder, mike and don. Unless that shredder lair is going to go up on UK lego.com that is. Quote

Steph 104th Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Can anyone think of a significant object, scene or character from the animated series Lego is yet to produce? One is can think of; Patrol buggies Kraang (human disguise) Casey Jones Quote

One is can think of; Patrol buggies Kraang (human disguise) Casey Jones Metalhead after today's episode (watched it as someone streamed it from iTunes) Slash A couple of other mutants Quote
Faefrost Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Can anyone think of a significant object, scene or character from the animated series Lego is yet to produce? One is can think of; Patrol buggies Kraang (human disguise) Casey Jones The human disguise Krang was a comic con exclusive or something similar. Major characters or recurring characters or decent mutants? Pulverizer or Mutagen Man Rat King The Sushi guy The Pizza delivery kid Any Purple Dragons Snakeweed Slash The Female Krang from Aprils school The Newtralizer (or whatever he was called. Big scifi Newt type space soldier that escaped from the Krang prison) Cockroach Terminator The big stone and lava statue dude that beamed in from Dinemsion X Krang Prime The Krang Yeti suit robot bodies Chrome Dome (The Foot robot ninja that looks like Chris Bradford) pre mutant Xever Did I miss any? lord raphael Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 If lego ever does make a snakeweed figure he will probaly look a bit like this http://brickset.com/minifigs/sp091.And in the series there is a guy called snake who turns into snakeweed so there is a good chance if there is ever a snakeweed minifigure there will be a snake minfig. Steph 104th Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Another possibility is Dogpound falling into the mutagen and being double mutated. Quote
BrickG Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Razar. I wish they didn't do that. Finally get used to him (still think Bebop and Rocksteady are better :P) and they go and change him again. Quote
OneStudShort Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Would be cool if they release a set based off the old comics. That's what I'm waiting for. Quote
BrickG Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 The old comics are irrelevant to 99% of Lego fans probably so I wouldn't count on it. One based on the old Toon would be more likely, though still unlikely. Quote
OneStudShort Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 Wishful thinking because April O'neal in the yellow jump suit would be cool. Also I wish they would rerelease the shadow turtle in a set for those that don't want to spend $300 on it. Quote
gedren_y Posted February 24, 2014 Posted February 24, 2014 It is a pity that Lego didn't get the TMNT license during the previous incarnation, because at the end of that version there was a throwback storyline. The turtles of that series dimension jumped through previous versions all the way back to the old black and white 'comics'. The story poked a lot of fun at the first cartoon turtles. The current Nickelodeon version is actually more 'cartoony' than the previous one. Quote

Shakar Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 That movie Shredder looks great! I hope the minifig does him justice. He could definitely find a place in my ever growing army of bad guys. As for the other minifig I was interested on, Karai, they executed her perfectly. Her make up was faithfully represented, while respecting the minifig aesthetic (so no Clone Wars-esque abomination here). Is Karai in the movie? If so, are we getting another minifig of her? Quote
just2good Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 Is Karai in the movie? If so, are we getting another minifig of her? She is, and we are! She's coming in the $70 Snow Rig set. Quote
