iamste Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 They'll be making a wave to be released alongside the movie, but after that we should be back to the nick stuff. Quote

Steph 104th Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 NEED METALHEAD I hope the Nick series carries on for quite a few seasons, I really enjoy it and all the great Lego sets based on it. I am very surprised by the choice of only including Donatello in one set and the most expensive one at that(movie sets). It appears he has his own mold with the goggles and a mold can cost up to 250 000 Euros! And even though I know I will be picking up the lair, I don't think it will be so popular. Could be a pricey move by Lego. Quote
Ultron Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Here's the TMNT movie trailer! I don't exactly know where this should go, but I thought you guys may want to see it. https://www.youtube....h?v=nCjsWpM9zFU Quote
TheBatstan Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 First TMNT Trailer is now online https://www.youtube....h?v=nCjsWpM9zFU Quote
Kintobor Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 It is true that Lego plans to stop producing the Nickelodeon sets in favour for the Micheal Bay Movie version? I wouldn't say so. I haven't heard anything to suggest that. Movie licensed sets tend to get one wave, while we've seen two waves for the Nickelodeon show. I think we'd at least be getting one more wave for the show, since they seem to be selling well. Quote
iamste Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Surprised I don't hate the trailer. doesn't look amazing, but it doesn't look terrible. Quote
Toby Adams Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Wow, I. need. to. see. this. now. It looks brilliant and the scene where mikey is thrown into the jeep is from the Big Rig Snow Getaway set I bet! Quote
iamste Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Yeah that was Raph, and Donnie throwing him. Quote
Steph 104th Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Enjoyed the Trailer. Now we play the waiting game. Quote
Legoman123 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 It shouldn't be too long until we see official set images. Quote
Lord Rahl of Clannad Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Well that trailer isn't exactly much for us to go on, but it's certainly somewhere to start. This looks interesting so far, so hopefully we get a more "full" trailer soon so we can get more of an idea what this film is really all about. Shredder looks awesome, and the Turtles look far better now that we have seen them in action. I also noticed the TCRI canister in the trailer as well, which makes me wonder how important the Kraang are going to be for the plot of the movie. Hopefully the arrival of this trailer means that set images aren't too far away either. Quote
BrickG Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 This makes me sad. First off the Ninja Turtles seem to have superpowers now. They were basically just turtle people before. Now they're leaving imprints on bricks they land on and crash into vehicles like they're nothing. Then of course I've complained about it before, but the whitewashing. Why is shredder white? And they're ugly. Especially the lips. Don't give Ninja Turtles lips. :P Quote
TheBatstan Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 If you might recall the Turtles were sliding down a MOUNTAIN at high speeds. How could they not crash into a Jeep and not leave some massive damage? Quote
Toby Adams Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) If you might recall the Turtles were sliding down a MOUNTAIN at high speeds. How could they not crash into a Jeep and not leave some massive damage? AND they have shells the size of American pizza's! I did notice a few defualts that don't make sense, unless this Movie is not conected to the Nickelodien series. Edited March 27, 2014 by Toby Adams Quote
MontyPython Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 They should really make some great sets from new film! Quote
deskp Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I did notice a few defualts that don't make sense, unless this Movie is not conected to the Nickelodien series. Its not connected to the tv series...... Quote
Toby Adams Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Its not connected to the tv series...... Oh XD. Quote
iamste Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 the guy who is "shredder" isn't called Oroku Saki. I'm reckoning it's a bit hush huh and there will be a "resurrection" of the original Saki who'll take back his mantel as the Shredder and the Foot by the end of the film, sequel will have more classic looking foot clan or whatever. I don't mind the turtles using the fact that they have giant shells on their backs to crush stuff, more so when sliding down a mountain and flung by another member of the team. Kids are gonna love this movie, and thats really all that matters. Quote
Thelegomaster Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Wow, that was something, but why is it a nickelodeon movie if it isn't connected to the show? Quote
Darkfox190 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Wow, that was something, but why is it a nickelodeon movie if it isn't connected to the show? Nickelodeon own the Turtles now, they don't just have rights to the show. They're actually the full out owners, so everything is under their name. Quote
gedren_y Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 The movie is a Nickelodeon Movies production. Quote
Steph 104th Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I'm not crazed by the gargoyle mask look of the Foot Soldiers. Quote
