Amazing Bricks Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I really like how don looks. Looking at don gets me excited for the rest of the turtles. They've really grown on me. Quote

Lazarus Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 Sorry Guys, It was not a movie set it was the junior set that was the extra set. But I have all of these years Nic TMNT sets now, I have the sherders lair and Sub coming from Lego denmark thoug my Lug stuff and I bought all the other sets from toyworld and polybag shreder off BL. I even bought the jouner set also. Quote
super curry max Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 was the flashback shredder offered in the US? or will it be at some point? Quote
just2good Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 was the flashback shredder offered in the US? or will it be at some point? It will be, in July. Quote
CM4Sci Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 I've been seeing commercials for the movie this week - maybe the sets are coming out soon? -Sci Quote
Yooha Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Seeing the Movie Donnie closer it's not that bad. I don't understand why the shell is so high - I mean it is so, because it is like in the movie - but that's OK. Quote
Fritzy Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 What are the chances that the new sets will appear in LEGO stores (or elsewhere?) early like the newest wave for The LEGO Movie? Reason I ask is because I realized that we're not far away from seeing these arrive on store shelves, and based on what I just read, there's a possibility they may be releasing early. Quote

None of the LEGO Stores in my state has them, so this may be the case where LEGOLand and then (hopefully) TRU will have them early. I can't wait to get these, though! I love the build of these. I think it's this year's Lone Ranger theme- the movie will most likely be not so great, but the build and minifigures really go the extra mile. Quote
Dr.Cogg Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Did you guys see this picture of the Shredder Quote
just2good Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 Did you guys see this picture of the Shredder If that is his actually size of the movie, it's funny how a lot of the minifigures in this subtheme are out of scale. The turtles in the movie are about 1.5x the size of a human and now look at Shredder. Not to say that I don't mind, because the minifigures are more useable at their normal size. Quote
Lazarus Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Why does it look like I am looking at a transformer Quote
Spider-Man Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Why does it look like I am looking at a transformer A transformer mixed with Wolverine! Quote
Fritzy Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Why does it look like I am looking at a transformer My first thought too. Very menacing. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Did you guys see this picture of the Shredder Yeah, this is why I'm excited! Looks like he's living up to his name, very shredder-y. Like you could get a cut just by looking at em! I also noticed splinter is the small grey version. I prefer that one to the abnormally tall one from the nick show/line Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 So Silver Samurai + Wolverine + Transformer... interesting concept. LEGO loves mechs and with the introduction of the new ball joints, I'm surprised he wasn't made into a set. Quote
samxsteal Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 there will be a more traditional Shredder as well Notice his gauntlet Quote
just2good Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 Look what I got from Target! For a $40 set, this is really fun! There's some great olive green pieces, all the minifigures (sans the Footsoldier minifigure) are exclusive, and the build of the Turtle Van is very sturdy and great to play with. Quote
Fritzy Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Congrats on finding it! All I needed to know is whether or not the van was worthwhile, so it's good to know the set's a winner from your point of view. Any plans to review Big Rig Getaway? Quote

The_Chosen_1 Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Unless the film turns out much better than I'm expecting, I'll probably be passing on the new sets. I much prefer the cartoon sets, and hope they continue :-) Quote
