The final minifigs don't look too bad, especially the foot soldiers are great. But I'm not too sure about those sets / builds. The new lair is twice as expensive but despite being much bigger and having more pieces overall, I feel like there should have been another small vehicle, all 4 turtles or something outstanding been included.

I agree. It would have been a more complete experience to have all four turtles. Given the cost of the set, I don't think that's an unreasonable request.

First time that I like the set more than the minifigures it comes with. (But it is really expensive for a very tiny vehicle.) I think I'm going to buy the set without the minifigures on Bricklink.

Really like the van. It reminds me of the classic cartoon van.

I like the shells on these new turtles. They really should've included the hole to put accessories and weapons on the cartoon turtles' shells. Leonardo looks really cool with his katanas on his back.

I like the look of those minifigures, Only wish they were smiling a little more!

The turtle van set looks great, very quaint!

Thanks for the trailer. Seems like Oroku Saki is in the movie and William Fichtner is just doing a 'Mandarin move' on the TMNT-gang. I must admit, I'll probably will see this at theatres but I won't buy all the sets, that's for sure.

Thanks for showing us a few details. Are you just2rich?? You get every set it seems!

As far as the figures, I am definitely not interested. Thanks for the comparison. I much prefer the cartoon version since that is what I was accustomed to growing up. I don't know if I can swallow the new look. I like the older shells too. I don't like the height on the new shells, but I think adding in weapon holders is a good idea. A bo staff and and swords definitely look better behind the shell.

The foot soldier looks decent, but definitely not foot clan like I like the cartoon version. And that is a generic face, but it works perfectly for Gob Bluth. I hadn't thought of that before.

The van looks great and I'd pick it up just for that, but I don't think the expense is worth it. I'll see if I can build/buy just the van and see how much that runs me.

I can't wait to see more details on the other sets. I think I just want April out of the line-up.

Ha, I just use the money I get doing LEGO videos to buy more LEGO. It's a cycle that never ends!

I'm actually disappointed in the movie April figure. Not in terms of accuracy, but because I wish her torso was less gender-neutral.

The more I see these movie-turtles, the more I like them! Now, when comparing with the comic ones, the latter look too childish. And they look mature and dark enough in the movie trailer, I like them. Looking forward to the other reviews.

Got a pic or vid of that fig?

I like the look of the Van, still the TV show figs look way better.

That shell kills it. But I will have to wait till i have them in my hand. But I like the turtle Van.

If there is two shredders potentially in the movie as we have now seen oroku saki in the trailer then which shredder is this figure based off. It has no burnt face so i'd guess fitchner as the guy in the shadows in the trailer had a burnt face. I reckon fitchner wears the tech armour in the set, Oroku looks weak so maybe fitchner takes over the mantle of shredder at some point.I'd guess the Lego version is fitchner as he is white. Shame they cheaped out and like Loki gave him an existing head. Means he will only look good with the helmet.

they should of made a new head with a mask printed on 1 side, in the movie there are no visible skin in the helmet....

I recieved the Snow Rig set, along with the Lair today... Here's a look!

First off, the review, which I'm extremely proud of how it came out. I did A LOT of minifigure comparisons (i.e. both of the turtles to their alternate versions in the other two sets, and the minifigures to the cartoon versions), so be sure to check it out!

And, as always, here are some pics of the set!

Really surprised how well this set came out! You get six exclusive minifigures, and a pretty fun Rig build! I also love the SUV build- it's pretty shady and dark, which I think is its strong point! Also, the PPP ration is above average. Always a good thing!

I did not know about the sword holder. Nice touch for Leo! And yeah, April's torso would look great on other male minifigures if it could work. Nice job with all those comparisons.

About the play feature with the Mutagen: I think there's a setup technique you need to be aware of when (before) reloading them into the top of the truck. I think you had the seesaw mechanism raised when you were inserting them, but perhaps it needs to be lowered (enough that a canister will remain in place and not fall out). I believe when I skimmed through Brick Show's review, there wasn't a problem.

Thanks for reviewing this one first. Hope the lair turns out well for you!

Thanks for the feed back! That's probably the fix to the problem I have with that feature. :classic:
