Fritzy Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I was eyeing the bike escape set. And I do agree you seem to get a good amount from the two smaller sets. I'm mainly unsure about the small pieces and how easy they are for a five year old. I have some friends who have five yr old twins and while they have a fair amount of regular Lego sets they seemed to enjoy the junior sets because they were easier to build and take apart. Not sure if anyone else here have children who have played with both types of sets. I just posted a review of this set the other day. Take a look and see if it might help address your concerns. If it doesn't, let me know and I'll see if there's anything else I can add to assist you. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 We could see these sets in summer 2015 The New T-Rawket Mikey's Hot Rod: And The pizza shooter: All would make great sets and including the big turtle mech that would be the biggest set of the wave. Quote
Colossus Posted October 18, 2014 Posted October 18, 2014 Thank you for your reply. I was eyeing the bike escape set. And I do agree you seem to get a good amount from the two smaller sets. I have some friends who have five yr old twins and while they have a fair amount of regular Lego sets they seemed to enjoy the junior sets because they were easier to build and take apart. My 4 yo had no probs with the Spidey, Batman, and Turtles sets. Have fun! Quote
Darth Punk Posted October 19, 2014 Posted October 19, 2014 Cool, thank you. Probably go with the juniors set for now and maybe stash away a few sets for later. Quote
atreyu2112 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I was at NYCC, the Turtles panel on Friday, all I can say is that so far everything I have seen from season 3 I want... check out the new turtles designs they'll be sporting VERY soon: Gonna be sweet. Hopefully we'll see some of this great stuff in Lego form! Quote
djmangunz Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Wow, those would make some great figures especially Donnie and that mask. Any rumors of thr Turtle Blimp showing up in season 3? (Crosses fingers for blimp set) Quote
SMC Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Have to say nit really looking forward to more Turtles just so many repeats and the build have not been great. I am happy with what I have got and I only have about half the sets mostly from the first way. Saw the film the other day and it didn't make me want any of the film sets. Quote
Aragosta Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Wow, those would make some great figures especially Donnie and that mask. Any rumors of thr Turtle Blimp showing up in season 3? (Crosses fingers for blimp set) The blimp made it's first appearance in the intro of last weeks's episode. It's coming! Quote
djmangunz Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 (Squeals with glee) Lego Turtle Blimp here I come! Quote
atreyu2112 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 The only set I REALLY want in 2015 is this: The NEW Nick version of the Turtle Van. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 The only set I REALLY want in 2015 is this The NEW Nick version of the Turtle Van. I remember putting that picture before and i would love that set. But what variants would the turtles come with in the 2015 sets? Quote
Zarana-X Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 I would love to see a good set of that new VW bus. I've been a fan since before the first cartoon, and I would say that surpasses the original Party Bus. Quote
DJ0912 Posted November 1, 2014 Posted November 1, 2014 Why hasn't there been a metalhead mini fig yet? Stupid spiderbytez Funny you should say that, the guy that made the Patrol buggy also did a video for it & there was a Metalhead (Minifigure sized builable): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQ-1070F31M @ 6:55 you will see what I'm talking about. Also has that Splinter guy with the legs from a red ninja. Shame, it looks like it's not going to make it: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/59069 only 95 people! Yet they want a blue phone booth?! The Retardis. God if I see one more Dr. Who project I'm guna scream. Laters. Quote
legofreak86 Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 (edited) Doctor Who is Very Popular and iconic as much as the Ghostbusters or Back To The Future even more so as it has 50 years of history behind it! For Good reason! I would advise you not to insult it!! It is not a phone booth.... However it matters not. Was i the only person who found the 2014 TMNT Movie quite enjoyable? As a bonus Lego's accuracy on that is almost pinpoint with the obvious exceptions being Shredder having a cape and a flesh face and hands. The sets themselves however two out of the 3 of them happen in the movie which is impressive accuracy wise for Lego and one of them has a minor role in the movie but such a scene depicted does not happen. They did do quite well to give us all the main characters of the movie however the only person missing is William Fitchner's Eric stacks who was quite key to the movie. Then again he's a pretty generic looking character so i can see why Lego wouldn't make him. Edited November 3, 2014 by legofreak86 Quote
BrickG Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I finally watched it. I can confirm you're the only one to find the new movie enjoyable. It was incredibly bad. Quote
zipper778 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 The new movie was fine. I don't understand why people think it was so bad. This isn't the movie discussion thread though, this is the new sets thread. Hopefully Lego is going to continue it's TMNT line for 2015. Quote
SMC Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 I am in two mind over if I want more sets, I like the line although I don't watch the new show but I don't think Turtles lend themselves to repeats as much as super heroes do. Once you have the 4 Turtles do you really need more? Quote
zipper778 Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 There are lots of things that could still be made in Lego form for the Nick Turtles. You can do more Krang ships or maybe Krang Prime or the Technodrome. You can do the Purple Dragons, or the Turtle Mech would be awesome too. There are lots of things that this line could have, but it's up to Nick and Lego in the end. Quote
Colossus Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Repeat characters? Have ya seen the Batman sets? Quote

zipper778 Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 That almost sounds like Lego may be ending their TMNT line. I hope not. Quote
