Either those costumes are from later in season 2 which is highly possible, or they're just other costumes. Ninja Turtles have a way of having strange costumes for their toys that never appear anywhere else.

Booyakasha! These sets look great! The T-Sub is excellent, and so are the new variations of the Turtles! Finally a serious Mikey! And hooray for Leatherhead! Not so crazy about Spider Bytez since he was my least favorite villain in the show. I was hoping for Mutagen Man, but I guess Spider Bytez was inevitable after the introduction of the Chima spider legs. Can't wait to see the rest!

As others have said, this didn't stop other toy companies from releasing the Turtles in gear like this, and TLG has been drawing a lot of inspiration from other merchandise in other themes like Spongebob and Super Heroes, so why not TMNT? The catalog says that the sets are based on the TV show, so we'll have to take their word for it, even if the minifig variations are only loosely based on it.

No, only Spike/Slash wore new gear in that episode.

By the way, with all this new gear, it's a little disappointing that they still don't have their elbow guards, especially since some of the Simpsons figs are getting all-around arm printing, but that's just a nitpick.

While I don't watch the show (and I really should ), LEGO has said themselves (in the retail catalogs) that 79118-79121 are based on the show. I'm guessing the one on the top is the Mutation Chamber set (79119), while the bottom one is the definitely the Undersea Chase set (79121). Additionally, the banner on the top is based on the show.

The sets are based off the show, only the costumes are not. Just toy variants.

Sorry, I should have said won't out of what they have announced. And they've announced a lot of the new S2 stuff. I do like the costumes. The only thing is I wish Donnie didn't have goggles.

Her eyes seem larger than usual in the show. But if April came out fine, then no worries there, I suppose.

Wow. That image has made me extremely excited for the upcoming TMNT wave. The new Turtle variations (Raphael in particular) are brilliant, and the builds shown are certainly an improvement on the first wave of sets. The Turtle Sub looks excellent and very accurate, and the addition of Leatherhead (who looks amazing) in that set makes it a must-buy for me. The build for the other set is looking pretty good as well, but I am amazed that they made the decision to include Spider Bytez in that set; he only appeared in one episode after all. It's an interesting choice, but I don't mind it at all. I'm disappointed that they didn't show off Karai here, as that's what I'm looking forward to most in this wave. It's also a shame that the T-Rocket wasn't shown, but I can wait on that on.

As someone who didn't car for this year's wave of TMNT sets (aside from a few figures) I want to say that the sub is great. I'm not so sure about the Mutation Chamber, because Spyderbytez seems to be the main draw there (and taking from a lot of pieces) and I can't stand the look. I couldn't even tell it was a spider until someone mentioned it.

I'm looking forward to seeing the other two sets now though.

Sadly there does not appear to be a Michelangelo tightly whitey fig looming. Which oddly is just about the only costume variant that we have seen in the show.

I think the current molds with just a head printing with classic style white eyes would more than satisfy the old timers. The actual shape of the turtle minis is more than acceptable for pretty much any incarnation save possibly the worst of the live action movies.

Based on this weeks episode, I think we can now understand why we are getting a Batman Man-Bat set this wave, and can probably speculate that we will be seeing "Wingnut" in a set as well. They saw enough convergence between Chima, Super Heroes and TMNT that they can really make use of a bat wing piece of some sort. Probably in a smaller set that gives us a Turtle Glider or two.

And as embarrassed as I am to admit this, given my advanced age, you are probably doing yourself a disservice if you don't check out the new Nikolodean TMNT show. It really is astonishingly good.

The new costumes are pretty much the lame outfits they gave the action figures, which really bums me out. My big problem with action figures is when they'll just make up lame variants just to sell the same figure twice. Most of them look okay in this case, though. Definitely capable of reusing those suits for other figures. Spiderbytez looks awesome, along with Leatherhead. I hope when Killer Croc comes back to the DC wave he'll look more like that. I really hope we get Mutagen Man, Metalhead, Slash, and Casey Jones in this wave. I saw a neat custom Metalhead that would be perfect online. From the look of things they're still catching up with Season 1, so I doubt Slash and Casey will show up. Mutagen Man's also kind of unlikely.

Since the sets are coming out in May, maybe we'll see the TV show sets at the New York Toy Fair and the movie sets leak late March (like the Man of Steel sets last year).
