Am I wrong in thinking that there seem to be only 3 new "<insert that tiresome argument>" pieces? And that they don't seem all that bad? I see a wall panel with window insert, a larger arched wall panel, and that new juniors car body. None of them seem overly specialized. They all seem a good mix between designed for a younger crowd, and reasonably useful parts for older folks to occasionally borrow.

There are also a few other large, semi-specialized pieces that make up the bases of the models... an 8 x 8 x 2/3 baseplate with 1x4 cutouts on the edges, a 16x16x2/3 baseplate with similar 1x4 cutouts around the edges, and a 4x8x2/3 slope with a 1x4 section hanging off that fits into the aforementioned cutouts. But I'll agree, the large parts in these sets are not that bad. They are fully-compatible in both connection styles and scale to typical System buildings, and they are compatible aesthetically as well — unlike, say, Jack Stone or Fabuland parts, which were scaled to much larger figures, and which were heavily stylized for a cutesy cartoon look and an edgy futuristic look, respectively.

Love that Pony Decoration :sweet:

And it's great to see a good balance of simple building for a young age group but still keeping the LEGO style to it. Jack Stone really didn't have that...

A horse riding theme for boxes looks better than previous boxes that simply include horses. Still, I wonder if City sets would feature horse riding or TLC would just leave it to Friends (no guys ride horses?). The princess one is also something Castle theme doesn't really focus on. All the other sets are what we can see in regular sets.

Jack Stone really didn't have that...

I could live with March.

I want that princess set with the slide for my daughter (who is 2... yeah. But she'll be closer to 3 in March!)

10669 Turtles Lair (ANOTHER TMNT lair)

According to Brickset it's only $20, so I really don't mind. That means eight TMNT sets for 2014... wow! I love how Juniors is getting its own share of licensed sets. That's cool! :sweet:

Between Spider-Man, Venom, Batman, Robin, the Joker, and now Turtles, I don't mind the label of Juniors at all, as long as we keep getting good minifigures!

Also, I'm liking the simplicity of the stable set. Fun colors, but classic minifigures. Should suit the target audience well.
