Posted March 23, 200717 yr Pirates of the bahmmas is a very well done brickfilm based apoun a soldier and pirate fighting. During the fight the pirate has a cheap shot by revealing he is half living half dead, and can resurect dead pirates. The soldiers fighting moves just go to show the amazing training the men of the Imperial Forces. There's my synopsis, and here's the film. Enjoy! Pirates of the Bahamas
March 23, 200717 yr Wow, I can't wait to see the finished movie. I really liked the swordfighting bits, and the moves as well, Congrats!
March 23, 200717 yr Author Wow, I can't wait to see the finished movie. I really liked the swordfighting bits, and the moves as well,Congrats! This isn't my film. The film I'm making is still getting the kinks out the script. The little description for the topic is saying 'Now I have to come up with a better name because the 1 I had was incedibly un-original and as it turns out is all ready taken.'
March 23, 200717 yr Ah, I think I saw an Evil Zombie Nazi Ninja Pirate in there! The anamation was bit choppy and the resolution disapated on and off, but besides that it was pretty good on a whole. I liked the ariel shot of the duel moving around that palm tree. Thanks for posting this, Commodore. Ha, and Qui Gon's Eyes were funny too. :-P
March 24, 200717 yr Governor Another Brickfilm! Yaaaaaaaay!!! I thought it was OK. It was a bit crude technicaloically, the camera work was jerky, there was interlacing, the colour dropped out on occassion. It wasn't that original - yet another Pirate Brickfilm borrowing from the Pirates of the Caribbean Soundtrack which probably demonstrates how timeless it is for Pirate themed video. Did the mini-figure really need to be Jack Sparrow? Can't people invent their own characters? That aside, it was edited rather well and the animators managed to get some articular expression from the mini-figures which added to their character. In addition it was colorful and lively helping the pace move along nicely - nothing worse than watching a 2 minute film and wondering when it will be over after the first 60 seconds.
March 24, 200717 yr Author Did the mini-figure really need to be Jack Sparrow? Can't people invent their own characters? 8-| ohhh... Can he be somewhat similar to Jack Sparrow, but a little different and still be imaganative?
March 24, 200717 yr Nice film, nice effects, but the moving mouth in the begin looks a bit strange to me.. Ah, I think I saw an Evil Zombie Nazi Ninja Pirate in there! The anamation was bit choppy and the resolution disapated on and off, but besides that it was pretty good on a whole. I liked the ariel shot of the duel moving around that palm tree. Thanks for posting this, Commodore.Ha, and Qui Gon's Eyes were funny too. :-P What makes you think it's a Nazi? It wasn't that original - yet another Pirate Brickfilm borrowing from the Pirates of the Caribbean Soundtrack which probably demonstrates how timeless it is for Pirate themed video. Did the mini-figure really need to be Jack Sparrow? Can't people invent their own characters? You are right about the character part, but I think you can use the POTC music for alot of LEGO pirate movies without it's to POTC-like. per example. Unless you think that's also to POTC-like.Mr Tiber
March 24, 200717 yr What makes you think it's a Nazi? Everyone knows that Evil Zombie Ninja Pirates are also Nazis! Especially the ones from outer space. Observe - The Ninja. Observe - The Pirate Observe - The Ninja Pirate. Observe - The Zombie. Observe - Lego Bricks Observe - Leggo!
March 24, 200717 yr Governor 8-| ohhh... Can he be somewhat similar to Jack Sparrow, but a little different and still be imaganative? They used Jack Sparrow's voice - the audio was ripped straight from Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl. Had they used their own voice then that mini-figure would have less association with Jack Sparrow and be more uniquely defined.

Had they used their own voice then that mini-figure would have less association with Jack Sparrow and be more uniquely defined. Ok then. The charcter has a similar apperance to Jack, but the all the voices are going to be done by me or my family, so that dosn't present a problem.
March 24, 200717 yr Governor Heh? What are you referring to Mr Norrington. I was referring to the lead mini-figure the Pirates of the Bahamas animation.
March 24, 200717 yr Author I am making a brickfilm and the main charcter looks similar to J.Sparrow, but sounds different because he's voiced by me or my immediate family. Also, the script for my movie is allmost done, the sets are being build, and the cast being designed. It's a bit of a tribute to the late Walt Disney, because it contains 7 scences inspired by the PotC ride, and extra scences to make a movie. If I ever make a second movie, it will not be like this, using scences from PotC and additional scences to make a story, but all new all written by me, as most of this one I'm making is.
March 24, 200717 yr Ahem... Well. That was pretty good. Problems... Repeated scenes, the first two were repeats...not hard to make something different. The animation wasn't very good, except for the sword fight. But in the swordfight it slows down in some parts. But it was good elsewise. It was pretty good elsewise of some problems. 6/10.

March 24, 200717 yr Author No, because when I unveil it here I want it to be a surprise. But I'll try to get pictures up after it's unveiled.
March 25, 200717 yr Surprise surprise. Great thing. All I give is some posters :-P . Well a name and obviously the title. No descriptions, X-D .
March 25, 200717 yr Governor No, because when I unveil it here I want it to be a surprise. But I'll try to get pictures up after it's unveiled. What do you mean by "here"? In this thread? You should at least create a new thread for it because this thread is about the Pirates of the Bahamas animation so you'll definitely get lets responses to your animation. Not the smartest of moves.
March 26, 200717 yr I was wondering... Could a brickfilm be identified as a MOC? It is some kind of "creation" after all... Mr Tiber
March 26, 200717 yr The sets in the movie can be classified as so. Though, I'm not sure it could go under the Lego MOC classification.
