Sure. You have to build something with LEGO Technic

Not 100% sure about the concept, so no hints yet.

Ok, I was guessing you would hint like that. Hopefully next month.

I would like to see a contest where a model (vehicle) has to overcome a challenge, such as cross a 1m wide chasm or climb 30cm step.

Like "The Great Egg Race", an old tv programme from when i was a kid ... sounds like a good idea, but it would have to be an easy enough challenge for us to all replicate and film

I know everyone is more concerned with the 2017 sets by I'm not impressed.... sooo I am wondering about the next contest. I know Jim is busy with reviews, but do not forget about the next contest.

That gives me an idea...

What about a contest where you build better versions of technic sets? (A or B model)

Not MODs of sets, but complete rebuilds that just keep the same shape and style as the original set - kind of half MOD, half MOC.

I'm sure some great MOCs will come from a competition like this. (and hopefully a better version of 42070...)

Something like this for example:

I will finish the reviews first. After that I will contact TLG about prizes (when Kim is back from his holiday) and I will try to arrange some prizes. After that we can get a new contest up-and-running.

Hey @Jim, I just thought of something. Sometimes, contests are started abruptly, and waiting is hard, so maybe you could give advance notice, or give a specific start date, giving people a chance to prepare, and then be ready when the rules are revealed.

Also, what if you could give out notifications for new contests? That could be helpful.

Okay. Here's an advance notice. Prepare.

For the last couple of contests I have given hints in this topic, like I did the other day. It's not that there suddenly is a contest. And you have 8 weeks to build something, so there's ample time.

I hope to get the contest up-and-running next weekend. Maybe a bit sooner, maybe a bit later.

Sad, it was very fun.

That makes me think about a GBC contest  Can't wait @Jim!

Uh-Uh, I am going to fail that.

I'm hoping the tc12 is a little left field ... or I'll just try and come up with a silly entry anyway!

hopefully Jim won't keep us in suspense as long as TLG are with the UCS Millennium Falcon reveal!
