Lego Castle 2014 Future Sets?

I'd love to see more castle sets. It is my favorite theme after all. But it's all a waiting game for now.

This is interesting...I found this on Asger Johansen's Linkedin page- that's where Castle 2013 was first (indirectly) mentioned. He usually works as a concept developer at TLG.

It was in his past projects though, but this wasn't here last year. Will we see the Castle line have a fairy tale subtheme in Summer 2014?

I always thought that LEGO relied upon its core 3 themes as key sellers (Castle, Town/City, Space) and would not mess with them too much....... We have seen Classic Space turned into all sorts of things (Galaxy Squad would be latest incarnation) and we have seen Caste go off into strange areas (Knights Kingdom II comes to mind). So maybe it is time for another odd spin off for the Castle line. Anyway I don't fancy building pink castles. I prefer them grey/dark and nasty looking.

I would be happy with another exclusive set along the lines of MMV or Kingdoms Joust even instead of another wave of 2014 castle sets if I had to choose. I also think another large exclusive pirate ship set in long over due. I would love to see a large detailed exclusive castle set more geared toward the AFOL crowd somewhere in the $250-$350 price range.

Fully agree with Nicker, especially having the SW fans so indulged with the recent release of Ewok Village.

I totally agree with you on this. The Black Falcons would be awesome if it came back. Also, I wish LEGo wouldn't always make the "good" guys with lion heraldry. Whynot change it to a falcon, bear, fox, etc? I think if they remade the Wolfpack and forestmen they would do a great job on them.

I am not a fan of this new castle theme, except for the dragon soldiers, they are good torsos for MOCs. But the lion minifigs seem so cheaply made than the others in the past.

I think if the Black Falcons came back it would be huge seller with AFOLs as I have seen a lot of photos of Black Falcon armies on this site. That and the fact they were in my opinion the best faction. Maybe they could do the return of the Black Falcons starting up again at a secret keep?

I would be interested in a return of the Black Falcons or Wolfpack if the factions kept their original crests, otherwise no. Having crests that are almost the same but just different enough that they are not the same crest/faction just bugs me. For this reason, I'm not a fan of the falcon knight in the Kingdoms joust set.

I doubt we'll see a return of the Forestmen so long as Mirkwood Elves are running around, they might cannibalize each other's sales.

I think this is a nice chance to get a Castle theme based on the Middle East or the Far East (preferably China rather than Japan, for a change).
