De Sandman Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Hi to ya maties.....it's been a while but the last 4 days i've been working on a new ship, was wondering wat you guys thought about it......there's no interiour.... Quote
Warspite03 Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Nice looking ship! The color scheme definitely makes it look like a pirate ship. Add some more bones to it and you have the QAR's big sister. I can't tell too well from the pictures, but are those dark red or standard red? I like the technic anchor too. Quote
Captain Becker Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 (edited) Overall I like it, but maby some less bones? Is his gonna be a pirate ship or something? Keep it up. Captain Becker EDIT: Noticed my error: Anchor isnt made from bones, my bad. Edited September 26, 2013 by Captain Becker Quote
pogie Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Haha, I love it! Will it be manned by skeletons or regular crew? Quote
kermit Posted September 26, 2013 Posted September 26, 2013 Nice ship. I was expecting more bones on it though like on the sides. Quote
Dread Pirate Wesley Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Whoa! It's like Persephone has an evil twin! Nice work, I like the way it's coming along. The macabre style is very unique too. Keep up the good work Hope she will get an interior and sails to match the hull! Dread Pirate Wesley Quote
De Sandman Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 Thanks for the nice comments.....it will be manned by pirates indeed, the red is the standard red, i can't add more bones, i'm out of them, and Wesley you're a bit right about being the evil twin of persephone, i used your ship as an example, i liked it really, really well, i won't make an interiour because the inside is full of reinforcements, she's very stiff though, the masts will be fully rigged with custom rigging and custom sails...... i will upload some better quality pictures later Quote
Wellesley Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Nice to see, that non-prefab-hull ship of the lines became more popular. Doesn't look too heavy, lovely curve. Well done Sir! Quote
De Sandman Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 Hi folks, here's another update, changed the masts, modified the bow, and modified small things, hope you like it: Quote
CaptainBlackwood Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 A very nice looking pirate ship De Sandman I especially like the stern: Very fitting to the ship, but the one thing I would change would be the colour scheme of the rudder. Against the black and red, the grey and brown rudder looks a bit out of place in my opinion, but overall, a great build :) Quote
kermit Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) I love how you made the mast and rigging in your updated pic. It looks very robust. Edited November 18, 2013 by kermit Quote
Sebeus I Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 I like the shape of the bow, I'm not so fond of the bones but I guess its name has to come from somewhere . If you wish to improve this ship some more I suggest you work with 1/2 offsets to get a smoother shape. Oh and great job on the rigging so far . Quote
The Architect Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Superb work! I like how you did the masts. Quote
Captain Golden Hook Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Awesome! Very Large! However, the bow rails could use some work Quote
Commodore Ariel Brickson Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 Very interesting and unusual ship . You really have a lot of bones. May I ask how do you did the stern? I'm referring to the officer's cabins and it's union with the main hull. Friendly, Commodore Ariel. Quote
