"So it's not just us..." Johon mutters. "The Oculoids are the demons you must be speaking of; they have a habit of using innocents as their vessels..."

"Given you are here, I assume Jetorix was defeated. Was he infected by a demon as Johon seems to think Punii was?"

[Pyrovisionary]

"Nah, 'Is concubine was."

[The_Customizer]

Erdathcath composes herself, then speaks up, "Who is the leader? I think we have kinda just worked as a team, which I would be fine with, but it seems more efficient to have a chosen party leader. As for moving on, I am ready, always have been, always will." Erdathcath drinks a Smelling Salt in preparation of the upcoming battle.

[Bricksandparts]

"Who's Jetorix?" Johon asks, trying to catch up with what's happened. "Aside from the issue of leadership, what is our current plan of action?" Johon says, preparing his sword for a fight.

[Emjajoas]

"Jetorix was their leader, though I think he was a puppet," Em says, ready for action.

"Who do believe to be the puppet master?"

[Emjajoas]

"His vixen, Siri," Em replies gravely. "who also has unknown amounts of power."

OOC: I'm going to be going on Vacation for two weeks starting the 21st; I'll have extremely limited internet access (and that's if I have time to get on). Could one of you run Em through battles while I'm gone? Not like Em talks much anyways.

"Unfortunately not." Em sighs. "Be wary of her."

"We should be leaving..." Johon says, looking around. "Where should we be going?"

OoC: Just a FYI, I will be on vacation for the next 2 weeks, so I will have less to no internet access, if time even permits. Hopefully I can check up now and again, but you can have someone choose my battle action etc.

Jeaux watched the long awkward silence in response to Johon's query. "Should I take this silence to mean that while you are all in quite a hurry to go, you do not know the destination?"

While waiting for a response, Jeaux makes an attempt to learn more about the blue substance he recovered. "Excuse me Fydelle, but are you familiar with this blue substance? I found it in the deeps near a rather badly damaged appartment."

OOC: And is it an important quest item that should not be Z-Mailed to other individuals?

[Endgame]

QM Note: After one last atrocious delay, we return you to our regularrly scheduled programming!

"Without another jelly to mix that with, if memory serves, that bluer vial is worthless. Had you found another in the deeps, you may have been able to make some sort of bomb, but now we don't even have Punii to make more...

Speaking of which, may I see the boy for a second?"

Fydelle picks up the young Progg gingerly, expressing surprising amounts of care compared to his normally gruff and coarse behavior. He runs a claw gently down his back, giving a gulp of grave concern as he reaches the middle of his vertabrae.

"Tell me that isn't what I think it is, Fydelle."

Fydelle grunts, and hands the knocked out Punii to Johon.

"Yes. His spine is broken.

Fortunately... The Colony's nurse is at the Royal Pond. You see, one of our princes... impregnated, to say the least.... her. Thus, our current heir to the throne, Aquos Jr. was born. I imagine that she is at the pond right now, along with the young monarch."

Solon doesn't even look at the party as he slithers forward with surprising speed.

"Then what are we waiting for?! Onwards, already... its like we've been wating in this foyer for days to finally forge onward."

The party takes Solon's lead, following him all the way the Royal Pond. It was in an isolated corner of the colony, away from all of the hustle and bustle... The large steel gates were suspiciously open, and guards absent.

"Hmph. My men are absent - and I imagine not because they were skipping guard duty..."

The party enters through the doors, stepping into a large cavern - and plunged into darkness. The normal torches that lit up the colony were snuffed out here. Nothing could be seen, and only a soft whimpering could be heard.

"Gnnrgh. Does anybody around here have a ruby or somet-"

Solon is cut off by the lights coming back on... and not the torches.

The room is flooded with light, revealing dozens of glowing eyes. They stare silently at the heroes, as if expecting something.

"Umm, hi? My name is Erdathcath, who are you?"

[Pyrovisionary]

"Feck off or die. "Sarge draws the demonic scissors, one glowing with a light... The other glowing with a dark aura. "These blades of woe will kill you tonight...."

[Bricksandparts]

Johon stares silently. After a long pause, he speaks up. "At least there is hope..." Johon says, carrying Punii and following the proggs.

Arriving at the scene, Johon looks around the darkened area. "Are you sure that you know where we are going?" He asks, pulling out his sword. As the room becomes lit, feeling of deja vu rushes through his body. "Get ready for battle!" Johon shouts, using a nostrum, mead, and smelling salts.

[Emjajoas]

Em draws his bow and eyes the creatures. He approaches them slightly. "Who are you?" he asks.

[Bricksandparts]

"Oculoids..." Johon mutters. Now addressing the Oculoids, Johon speaks. "What are you doing here? Why are you trying to destroy the Proggs and their home?"

[Endgame]

QM Note: Merry Christmas, one and all! Just popping in here for a bit - updates will resume tomorrow morning. (The afternoon will likely be dominated by either me building the Tower of Orthanc, playing Pokemon X, or trying to figure out how to effectively do both at the same time.)

Edit: Completed it. Well infact it isn't an edit because I completed it in the time it took to type this post because it only has 10 hours of gameplay!

Sarge receives Conspiritor by Zmail, satisfied, he pokes it though a loop in his belt in a makeshift scabbard.

[Endgame]

"Umm, hi? My name is Erdathcath, who are you?"

In the center of the pond hovers a White Oculoid, mischeviously rubbing together its barbed tentacles. Its eye gleams with both mischief and malice, glowing a fearsome blue. Next to the horrible, inky creature was a purple Progg and a young larva with a crown...

"How delightfully naive you are! Almost as much as this broad here and her little whelp..."

"Broad?! I'm a nurse, you dripping freak! And don't you dare call my little Aquos Jr. a whelp!"

The white Oculoid begins to pulse and crackle with blue static, pointing a sharpened tentacle at Beatrice.

"Hush, my dear... So quickly you forget you are surrounded by a horde of demons."

The young monarch cowers, running into his mother's embrace.

"Mama, I'm s-scared..."

Beatrice whispers tenderly into Aquos Jr's ear, but her voice wavered - not even she believed the words that were spoken.

"I am too, honey, but don't let that evil thing know that... It'll be okay, sweetie."

The White Oculoid gives a high pithced cackle, nearly tumbling back in hysteria.

"Oh yes, my little prince, it'll all be over soon."

"Feck off or die. "Sarge draws the demonic scissors, one glowing with a light... The other glowing with a dark aura. "These blades of woe will kill you tonight...."

"I have no interest in conversing with unshaven barbarians. A human thinking they could take down an Oculoid gathering of this magnitude.... hah! It is like the training target fancying itself the crossbow's greatest enemy. Merely something to be shot once, destroyed, and disposed of."

Em draws his bow and eyes the creatures. He approaches them slightly. "Who are you?" he asks.

"We, as I sure you are well aware, are the Oculoids. Although we are nameless by design, you may refer to me as Iris's Disciple - Disciple Number 4, to be exact, but I am not one to quibble over details. I already know all of you well enough, so no need for any grand introductions, hm?"

"Get ready for battle!"

"Battle? Oh, no, absolutely nothing of the sort! Put the booze down, Raider, and we can end this in a more civil manner."

"Oculoids..." Johon mutters. Now addressing the Oculoids, Johon speaks. "What are you doing here? Why are you trying to destroy the Proggs and their home?"

"Once again, you are mistaken. We do not wish to destroy Proggkind or their home... We simply have a few key objectives, and after that we clean up and go home. However, I can hardly garuntee that there will be no collateral..."

Another cackle, this time less grand.

[The_Customizer]

"Fine then, since you refuse to tell us much about yourselves, what is it you want?"

"It would seem you have us at a disadvantage. You know why we are here, but we know nothing of your goals and what they have to do with the proggs. We have been hired to help the proggs resolve some issues in this new colony. If you do not intend to destroy the progg home, then I see no reason why there should be any quarrel between us."
