The_Customizer Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Erdathcath quietly laughs to herself, Sarge was going on his rampages like normal, she then speaks up, "If you don't care whether Iris dies or not, why would you ask us to make the decision? If you truly were master over them all, why do you require the permission from us 'filth' as you call us, to kill her, or to let her live? Perhaps, this idea of being a 'god' is truly all just in your mind. Either way, our job was to clear out anything that was in the colony and to save it, seeing as how hundreds of Proggs have already been captured, we probably didn't do everything perfect, however, we were NOT told to go on rampages killing everything we saw. Therefore, as Iris has been defeated, I see no reason to humiliate her anymore and kill her, let alone, why should we let this 'god' kill her? It seems it would only help him, therefore, I vote that we let her live, we take her prisoner, but she lives, perhaps she knows something that would be of benefit later on." Quote

"To be brtually honest, druid, whether or not she lives or dies is largely inconsequential to me. I simply decided to dedicate my brainpower to other matters - so instead of flippign a coin to decide whether or not the useless piece of trash lives or dies, I'll allow you to be the jury in this case. Bricksandparts Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 "You are wrong Regret. You didn't have full control over her. Most? Yes, but even before this she defied you. She felt herself as your equal, she had free thought. Limited as it was. What are you people anyways? You claim to be heroes? Don't you realize what she did was not her? She has seen the truth. And now that that's happened, you want to end her?!" Quote
Emjajoas Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 "I did not want to let her live if she had not the will. I vote we let her live, at least for now. She was a pawn, too clueless to even see her own status in the scheme of these plans. She will be of little use to us even if she does survive. I have no reason to kill her, but I also have no reason to save her at this point, so I leave my choice in the hands of Solon and Fydelle. Solon, she decimated our remaining home, perhpas beyond repair, and you think it just to-" "Now, now, children. No need to bicker in front of your grandfather. The verdict has been passed. Iris will live. The Regret withdraws his scepter, Iris collapsing in tears in front of the monster. She uses what little stumps of her tentacles left to bow down. "Master, please! Please, forgive me! Take me back to the citadel with you! Don't leave me to die here!" The Regret cackles, relishing Iris' terror. "See, heroes? The Oculoid's loyalty is absolute. Yes, you whimpering back, I'll bring you back to base. You break it, you buy it, I suppose. Now, heroes. It has been fun. Truly. I've been working day and night to pull this little plot together, but I think I've wrung every iota of amusement out of this pitiful encounter. Oh, before I leave... Punii?" The young yellow bomber seems afraid to respond. "Y-yes...?" "If you feel you can stomach it... Remove the mask of Iris' vessel. Her soul has been sucked dry, but I suspect you'll recognize the corpse. Now, I bid you adieu, heroes. Til' we meet again... Which, if everything goes according to plan, should be soon. In a burst of black light, the Regret, Seerus, and the damaged Iris vanish. All that is left is to distribute the spoils of war... And to unmask Iris' vessel.
