gamejutzu Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) Garmadon is basically the most adaptable character... Ever. First he's a human, then a half-dead shadow king, then a four-armed lord, then a possessed four-armed demon, then a dragon, then a human, then a snake, and finally a ghost. The heck? I don't know if the writing is so weird that it's good, or that the writing is so good that it's weird. (100th page!!) Edited November 11, 2015 by gamejutzu Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 I'm gonna reiterate this...again...this show was not.originally aimed at us. There are very few stories that dont have plot holes. The Hagemen Brothers have began aiming the story at a higher age group, but do realize this is the first Lego created story since Bionicle. And this one is a lot more understandable. I could say the same the MCU, people die and come back to life aaaaallllll the time. Its just the way story telling works now. Obviously Garmadon is a desirable character otherwise he wouldn't keep showing up. Yeah Lloyd is becoming a puppet, be had he Kept his power he would be OP, the Ninja should at least keep.there power for a while, I would agree with that. Quote

Yeah, I guess you're right. I was just thinking about it since I saw member Garmadon's video. Yeah Lloyd is becoming a puppet, be had he Kept his power he would be OP, the Ninja should at least keep.there power for a while, I would agree with that. Um. That's not what I meant. Why is Lloyd on the boxes of the ghost sets when Nya was the significant character that season? Lloyd had his face on it like 3 times already. To be honest, i'll just pretend her face is there instead. And now, only face left to be in the box is Cole. Remember, he was the leader until Lloyd showed up. Maybe that's why he was saved for last? Why his mirror is empty? Edited November 13, 2015 by gamejutzu Quote
Aanchir Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 (edited) Um. That's not what I meant. Why is Lloyd on the boxes of the ghost sets when Nya was the significant character that season? Lloyd had his face on it like 3 times already. I can come up with a few answers: some I like and one I don't. The one I don't like is that the designers might have been worried boys wouldn't buy the sets if it had a girl character headlining the box art. That explanation would be disappointing to say the least. But there are also other, more palatable justifications for the decision. While Nya was arguably the main character of this season, Lloyd getting possessed was basically what the rest of the story arc was written around (the whole idea of ghosts as an enemy faction came from the creators asking "what if the Green Ninja got possessed and the other ninja had to face him?"). Also, there's a simple aesthetic consideration: Lloyd's mask better matches the glowing green color of the ghosts and their vehicles, while Nya's red and blue mask would be harder to tie in visually with the other sets and characters. bricksfan Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 Believe it or not, for me, Kai was the center for the possesion series. Quote
Aanchir Posted November 14, 2015 Posted November 14, 2015 She did wear the Green Deepstone Armor But putting her in green on the package would have just confused people who hadn't seen the last couple episodes of the season. Minor episode-specific details of the story like that aren't a very good basis for a packaging design. You want something that can reflect the story arc as a whole and not just a specific moment. I guess this is the most plausible reason. One thing I don't want is for the pirate enemies to be the dumb sort. In particular I mean Dogshank. I'm worried that since he's "big" and also has a huge weapon, he will be stereotypical like that. I'm also worried about the samurai pirate as well, since he has tusks and looks menacing. It would be going way too far if they did that to Nadakhan though... They wouldn't do that.. Right? By the way, Nadakhan is quite the character. What could his voice sound like? I'm thinking maybe like a deeper voice of Erron Black from Mortal Kombat X. It would be cool. Edited November 14, 2015 by gamejutzu Quote

True, would be disappointing if they turned out to be a laughable pathetic bunch, with the big guy being an egghead, just sooo stereotipical. Seems like they've been holding off of doing a truely badass enemy (as a whole, not just the leader), which is too bad. It would especially fit these pirates. Nadakhan should definitely have a dark voice! I wonder what Cyren will be like, a siren maybe? Probably a smart, beautiful lady that tries to seduce the ninja and gets in a cat fight with Nya Seriously curious as to what her motif could be. Quote

Nadakhan´s voice, I think, could be like the overlord´s since they are both spirits. Quote

I know, I'm just pointing it out. Also, I have a theory (not a sound, backed up theory, but a theory at best) that the chick, Cyren (which kinda sounds like Siren) is Jay's real mom. The Hagemen Brothers questioned whether or not Jay's last name was Walker...just a thought. Quote

Sorry about the other post. And even if his "real" dad had non brown hair, there's recessive alleles and whatnot so it's highly possible. Look at Lloyd's blond hair despite his parents having brown hair... Quote

gamejutzu Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) There were actually lots of similarities between them, especially their talkativeness that was highlighted in the episode they were released in... Not to mention their knack for tinkering. Dang it though, flashbacks aren't enough, I've said this a hundred times, but I want Samukai! Seriously, he just went POOF! Him and Julien (Zane's wish?) are the only ones that are staying at one status, but that's not the way things work in Ninjago! What do the Hageman bros have up their sleeves this time?? DraikNova Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 The "adopted" bit wouldn't change his last name though, so it doesn't really work as an explanation for what the writers said. Quote
