DuckBricks Posted June 15, 2016 Posted June 15, 2016 (edited) These may be legit screenshots of next season: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9CQfkvgmkY I'm pumped!!! They seem very legit. I'm pumped as well! I'm in love with the new suits and it I guess this is confirmation that Ninjago's current canon is lasting beyond the purported final two Rise of the Villains waves. (unless the pics are from the split wave, with 1/2 RotV Part 2 and 1/2 movie sets...) Edited June 15, 2016 by legozebra Quote

It looks like Cole has either some control of his ghostly form, or has been remedied of it completely. Quote
gamejutzu Posted June 17, 2016 Posted June 17, 2016 (edited) Got really lucky and found a video of 2 screenshots before it could be taken down (around 15 minutes ago). The first screenshot is basically all the ninja standing around a building with the same dude from the Samukai video. The second is Nya and Kai looking at a photo of their parents. There's black arms and black armor Jay's outfit looks reversed as there is a circle taking up the front of his outfit where it would usually be seen at the back Lloyd has a suit resembling his ZX outfit Cole has grey boots and orange highlights Saunders is in the picture A painting depicting a battle in the monastery can be seen They are at the Ninjago Museum of History Edited June 21, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote
DuckBricks Posted June 28, 2016 Posted June 28, 2016 The Lego Ninjago Facebook page just confirmed that Season 7 is airing in August in reply to someone's question. Good to see it fits right when the sets are released in the US, which rarely happens. Quote
gamejutzu Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) Good to see it fits right when the sets are released in the US, which rarely happens. I was pretty surprised when I saw that. We usually get the sets, piece the story together, then wait months before the season airs, where people get angsty waiting to see if their theories were true. LEGO is releasing villain throwback videos, in preparation for the new season. Pretty much all of them are out, but only three are in English, and it took a week for the third to come in English. Aren't these already recorded in English? Why not release these first instead of dubs in other languages? Unless Ninjago was actually dubbed this entire time, I don't know why this happens. There's no way Ninjago would be dubbed this whole time; that would be silly :) They might be staggering the English videos to build hype for the August release, but are just releasing the non-english versions at the same time because the sets are already out in those regions...? Aanchir Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Not quite show-related, but Boyslife.org revealed the covers of the LEGO Ninjago: Dark Island Trilogy, as well as four preview pages from Part 1. This series takes place after the events of Season 6 (Skybound). Quote

I'm pretty excited for these comics, although it's a tad odd how Sensei's "destiny" is to go to the Dark Island, especially since he's already been there. These are non-canon anyway, though, so I guess anything goes! Quote

I genuinely thought it was going to be a book with words this entire time... It's just the graphic novels, but the story spans more than one issue this time... _ Could it be, that the desert setting we keep seeing in trailers and box art, is actually the Dark Island? And the ninja are just riding around in vehicles Nya built for them once more? And dark matter, which is found on the Dark Island, revived the previous villains? These are non-canon anyway, though, so I guess anything goes! When he says his destiny is to reach the Dark Island, I think he means there's something specific he has to do there in response to the current crisis. Not just that he's meant to be there at some point during his lifetime. Could it be, that the desert setting we keep seeing in trailers and box art, is actually the Dark Island? And the ninja are just riding around in vehicles Nya built for them once more? And dark matter, which is found on the Dark Island, revived the previous villains? I doubt it. Even if this trilogy IS canon (and I've seen some comments suggesting that it might be), I don't think it will be essential setup for the next season, but rather be more of an "interquel" that tells its own story. Sort of like Shadow of Ronin but possibly more canon. Edited July 1, 2016 by Aanchir Quote
gamejutzu Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 (edited) I found something interesting a while ago. I was scrolling around Youtube, and i saw a thumbnail that looked kind of weird, and I thought it was an image of the new season. Sadly it wasn't. It was actually the second episode of the Tournament of Elements season. But around 15 seconds in, I realized why I thought the thumbnail looked weird. I saw that their hair was actually reversed. Someone on the design team actually put in work to reverse every character's hair. Kai and Cole's hair looked better originally, but Jay's hair actually looked better reversed. And not only that, the outfits are reversed too! And all of them honestly looked very interesting. Kai's emblem was to the left, and so was Cole's dragon. Most interesting of all was Jay's, as his armor being on the left actually looked very interesting, and might I say even better. Another favorite for me is Garmadon. His entire gi is swapped and it actually goes to the left, which looks very nice. The faces were swapped too, so Jay's eyebrow slash is to the left now, and so is Kai's. Oh, and sorry if this post looks weirdly spaced, I'm on mobile. Edited July 2, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote

DuckBricks Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Season 7 story revealed! The season is called Day of the Departed (or something like that; it was translated) and the villains are just possessed statues, not the real deal. I'd cite my source, but it's just some sketchy kid youtube video. There was an official cite used in the video that the person referenced but didn't link, so I'm not too sure where it came from. I have doubts about this, just because I remember when a full supposedly leaked list of episode titles surfaced on Twitter last month or so and I never saw a source other than Wikipedia to back it up. Some of the other episodes from that list, like "Cryptal Rising", sounded pretty fake in their own right. Plus everything you just mentioned from that video could be just as easily assumed based on the "Villain Throwback" videos we've been getting on the Ninjago website (which have a museum exhibit featuring the villains with their new designs and weapons). Finally, I don't know if some kid would really be that likely to know this kind of thing before anybody else if they can't provide a source to back it up. I'm not saying for sure that it's inaccurate/made up, but right now that seems more likely than not. I've seen too many fake Ninjago episode titles and synopses in my day to really take something like this with anything less than a heaping helping of salt. Quote

PenPlays Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 (edited) It's kinda' clear that they're possessed statues, regardless if the "Day of the Departed" name is correct. We see in the character teasers that each villain has their own respective statue on display in a museum in Ninjago City.* We also know that Sensei Yang, the main villain of this season, can possess/reanimate statues (source). It would only make sense that this would be the concept, especially with the fact that all of these villains are technically dead, aside from Pythor, who, apparently, is sided with the good guys now. *Why should we care about these statues, or the museum exhibit at all if they don't have any significance? I mean just showing old clips of the characters like most pre-Skybound seasons did would have made more sense (not to mention more cost effective) in the grand scheme of things. I mean just showing old clips of the characters like most pre-Skybound seasons did would have made more sense (not to mention more cost effective) in the grand scheme of things. Oh sure, I don't doubt the possibility that the villains could be the statue brought to life (after all, Yang's students bring two statues to life in the Airjitzu Battle Grounds set so apparenty that is A Thing that they do). What I doubt is that fans have uncovered any actual synopses for Season 7 episodes at this point. More likely, any fan synopses at this stage are just extrapolating from hints in the sets and webisodes, and possibly also from fraudulent info that fans are assuming to be true (because the episode list that the title "Day of the Departed" came from still seems extremely sketchy to me). I've seen a lot of fake synopses and episode titles over the years, for Ninjago as well as other LEGO shows, and when we have gotten the real episode titles ahead of their actual airing (like we did for Season 6), it's usually been from a verifiable source and not just hearsay. Some seemingly-real Ninjago screenshots leaked a few months ago, but from what I've heard, they may be connected with a future season beyond season 7, since they show the Ninja in suits other than their Season 6 or 7 suits, but with far too much unique detail on each ninja to seem like show-only designs. There definitely wasn't any confirmation of which specific episode these screenshots came from, so if one of these accompanied the video then it probably WAS just a kid trying their best to piece together all the leaks, teasers, and rumors we've gotten so far. Quote
gamejutzu Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) Maybe the statues don't have to do with plot. Maybe they just wanted to have some filler before the show and they did it like this. Maybe the Airjitzu Battle Grounds thing is just a coincidence. ... Okay yeah, probably not. But it just seems like such a one-dimensional "anniversary" plot. I only see it going like this for it to not be super predictable: The statues disappear from the museum, then the same villains that were in the exhibit are back and wreaking havok. Pythor shows up while another Pythor is causing havok, confirming to the ninja that the villains are just statues. Then Yang appears somewhere in the mix. Now the plot twist here, is that the villains were actually there the entire time, and they staged the whole statue thing. Or Yang reanimated the statues and the villains came back. Remember that in the end of Skybound, the Temple of Airjitzu is still floating around. On top of this, the sets depict minions, like the skulkins, nindroids, and stone army. Were tons of <- these enemies also in the museum? If not, then it is either a plot hole or the villains are really back. Some sort of time travel/time distortion may also be happening as well. Here's a theory about it : Could Yang's lamp's function actually be capturing the moon light? So that he could bring the villains back to life whenever he wants? Quote

NinjaJayNuva Posted July 11, 2016 Posted July 11, 2016 Would you mind sharing this plot please? I'd like to read this and I'm sure others do to. The plot is Russian, but a Russian friend of mine translated it into English, here it is : Day of the Departed - a celebration, during which decided to remember and glorify ancestors. This is a festive day, when residents Ninjago-City wear costumes, dancing and lights are lit to honor the dead. On this day, the Museum of history Ninjago-City is opening a special "Hall of Enemies" - an exhibition with all the villains from the past. After a walk through the new exhibition team split to pay tribute to those who have left this world. Lloyd and Misako go to the Corridor of Elders to commemorate Sensei Garmadon. Jay spending time with Ed and Edna, Zane pays tribute to Dr. Julien in the forest Birchwood, Kai and Nya lit lanterns for their parents, Sensei Wu visited the grave of the First Master Spinjitzu, his father. Cole - still ghost and struggles with his personality. He literally fades away - his life is over! Cole heading off in temple Master Yang Airjitzu, where he became a ghost to try and pay your debt to Yang... But Yang need something more. Meanwhile, something happens in the history museum. In this special year, there is a rare lunar eclipse, which allows Yang to return the most feared villains in Ninjago City. Villainy Hall comes alive - Samukai, General Kozu, Pythor, General Cryptor, Master Chen and Morro - All of them are reborn in the form of ghosts. Temporarily revived villains are separated. Their goal - to each of the characters ninjas, who are still scattered Ninjago. Every villain has a personal scores with a ninja and is ready to avenge. Cole must repay his debt to Yang before the eclipse ends. Only in this way he can become a man again. If he fails to do so, he will remain forever in the world of ghosts. Quote
Thelegomaster Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 The plot is Russian, but a Russian friend of mine translated it into English, here it is : *insert text wall here* That actually sounds much better than most stories like this. This would also be a good way to end the story, at least the story of the characters we have now. I hope after the movie the show will have a large time skip with new ninja characters, and cameos of the other characters. Quote
