Yes, but there's no reason a holiday special can't exist at the beginning, middle, or end of a regular TV season. After all, the Legends of Chima series finale was basically a Christmas special, as bizarre as that sounds.

Just to add a bit more details. I was at the panel and the footage shown was quite interesting. The Stealth Raider looks incredible in animated form and the flow of the clip seemed to go well. The people at the panel stated that the footage they showed was the first two minutes from the first episode of Day of the Departed. This worries me, as if the season starts with the Raider already introduced there's no explanation as to how they obtain it. I hope there's no throwaway line from Nya saying that she whipped it up.

Oh right, that's an episode I only saw once

But yeah, it's basically decommissioned, like the Ultra Dragon and the elemental blades (actually the elemental blades are probably in the same place the titanium and golden armor is, but you get the point). I mean, it hasn't been seen for years, and it probably hasn't been getting a monthly polish. I really think that Nya will probably just pull it out of her sleeve, like she did with the bikes around Lou's place.

I really hope the next season will have these little sub-plots, but held together by the main conflict between Yang and Cole, which would be clearly shown to be the central point. I'd really like that. Besides, I feel like something like that would go in a direction that we haven't seen before in Ninjago.

It can be the modern day and involve their parents.

"Involve" does not mean this entire season is about Kai and Nya's parents, and them only.

Involve means that the story will pertain some sort of information, if not an important role, for these characters, not be about them only.

It's apparent that "involve" is the word being misconstrued from the SDCC information.

Yeah I get that, but we may get an episode or two where we flashback to the time period of their parents. It can even be five minutes and not an episode. I'm just trying to say that Morro and Samukai lived at the same time Kai and Nya's parents did.

And i'm not misinterpreting the use of "involve". I was thinking the season would switch from parents to children from time to time, keeping the flow that way. "Involve" doesn't have to be in the loose sense.

A leaked Hands of Time plot/script says the ninja get sucked into some kind of purple explosion. Lloyd and Cole are talking while this happens.

This makes me think that Nelson may be responsible, and that the ninja will actually be visiting the past.

Nya's name was originally Aya, as she was going to be the master of air, but changed to Nya. It also should have been pronounced "nai-ah" but was prounounced incorrectly during the pilot episodes by the voice cast by mistake.

Kai's prototype minifigure had red hair and freckles ;) and is Greek for fire (they weren't 100% sure about the Greek part)

Cole's name came from coal, which is found in the earth

The process of how Yang turns someone into a ghost will be explained in Day of the Departed

Easter eggs planted in Possession and even before that will finally come to fruition during Day of the Departed and Hands of Time

The Dark Island Trilogy is semi-canon, meaning it happened sometime between different seasons but won't be referenced in the show.

I guess they never treated Skylor as the orange ninja, just the Orange / crimson hooded female assassin.

Unless it has changed a lot more than I think it has (in the last two thousand years ), I'm fairly positive it still only means "and," "also," or "even." Pur or Puros would be fire (where we get Pyro-maniac from).

Thanks for the info! Yeah, one of the panelists said Greek, then looked to the others to confirm, and he only got shrugs back...

One other thing I forgot to mention is that the sets team "likes the idea" of a CMF series centering around characters in the show but not sets...

That's interesting. I thought it was a punny version of "morrow", and it had some kind of meaning to Morro's character which you had to sit and think about.

In the new "Wu-Cru" mobile game the ninja get possessed by some sort of magical stones which have a purple colour. I wonder if this could have

something to do with this.

Really quite unfortunate. We even got a new variant in Skybound. All of the Elemental Masters introduced during the Tournament arc were really interesting characters, but they all got thrown out the window to train Nya as the Water Ninja...

I think them not considering Skylor to be the "Orange Ninja" may not be because they don't consider her a ninja, but rather because they consider her to be the YELLOW ninja. After all, Flame Yellowish Orange is about the closest a minifigure outfit can get to yellow without it just looking like they're in the nude.

It's not so much that gravity effects time as much as that gravity determines what time is. I mean, gravity is often described as one of four fundamental forces, but while the other three determine how particles interact, gravity determines space and time. Gravity itself is already a ridiculously powerful thing to have control over.

True, and Gravis should easily overpower most other masters. A combo of Gravis and Griffin at full potential should be ultra overpowered and might be able to counter the Time element.

And besides, the wielder of the time element may not necessarily be evil, especially if it turns out to be Nelson.

Maybe they just want to save the past or something, or stop that battle in the monastery from happening.

Also someone asked if Day of The Departed and Hands of Time are going to be full seasons or special events and the Hageman Brothers answered with yes
