gamejutzu Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 (edited) HoT is definitely season 7, that was confirmed. It was? So, who wants to make/sign a petition for the crossbow husky from Master Wu Dragon to be in the show? Edited September 19, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote
GarmaFan Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 It was? So, who wants to make/sign a petition for the crossbow husky from Master Wu Dragon to be in the show? It hasn't been directly confirmed, but according to the Hagemans, we get a special, and then a season. We know DoD is a special, so the implication is that Hands of Time is the season we're getting. gamejutzu Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) So, who wants to make/sign a petition for the crossbow husky from Master Wu Dragon to be in the show? lol I knew it was a lost cause anyway Apparently Kai and Nya's parents left them at ages of 5 and 3 respectively. Well at least their mother anyway. It's being stressed that their parents disappeared, not died. Apparently it's a heartbreaking mystery what happened to them. I guess Kai and Nya assumed they just died. Well at least their father anyway. I wonder... Wouldn't Sensei Wu know what happened to them? Or did Sensei Wu lie to them if they ever asked? TheOneBrick Posted September 28, 2016 Posted September 28, 2016 I'm sure Garmadon will be back after Day of the Departed anyway, or at least a brief reunion. Cool to see Morro ally with the Ninja Quote

Takanuinuva Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Speaking of. Why is Pythor one of the ones that is a resurrected statue? I'm pretty sure Pythor is still alive. Not only that but he left on good terms with the ninja after the Tournament of Elements Arc. Quote

That's the Pythor statue being reanimated by Yang's power. The statue itself is just a representation of the villains the ninja have faced. It doesn't present the idea that all of them are deceased (although all of them aside from Pythor would be considered as such by coincidence). Also, I don't know if anyone confirmed this yet, but according to the newest Lego Club Magazine, Day of the Departed is indeed a special. Quote
GarmaFan Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 Wait, has it been confirmed they're resurrected statues? https://66.media.tumblr.com/25bc1e8f3894cab5825d167f5d38099e/tumblr_oe2pa2eioo1v5fzvao1_1280.png "Yes, Pythor summoned... gamejutzu Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 (edited) That Lego page seriously needs to stop giving spoilers to DoD... Also regarding some more timeline stuff, Tommy Andreasen said that Zane's new body is 2 yrs old maximum... Which means ToE-Skybound took place in 2 years or less... And apparently, Zane's original body is now 40+ rather than 60+... Says it's something to do with how HoT is arranged... Which gets me thinking... How is Zane and HoT involved? DuckBricks Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 (edited) The new Day of the Departed trailer is out! Makes me so much more hyped for the special than I was before. The music flowed really smoothly and the transitions were on point. It was one of the best Ninjago trailers in my opinion. Really looking forward to the 29th! Close, that means Rebooted-Skybound took place in two years, since his new body was built at the end. I wonder how much time the Rebooted-ToE gap takes out of that.. I guess over a year., more or less. And he said Pixal is 3-4 years old, and was made in between Season 2 and Rebooted, so, I guess that means Ninjago as a whole takes place in 3-4 years. Three years makes the most sense, since Kai was at least 16 in the pilot-Season 2, and four would cause him to be twenty, which is a no-no. Three years since the beginning, Kai, Jay, and Cole are 19, Nya is 17, Lloyd is 12-14 years old, and Zane is 40+. I think it's all figured out now.. Maybe Dr. Julien was involved in the Serpentine War in some way? Something to do with the Master of Ice, maybe.. Quote

But Zane made his new body at the end of Rebooted... but, I guess ToE was after a long time gap anyway, so it kind of makes the most sense to place it in Rebooted than ToE... But that means the serpentine season lasted for a few months at most... And the ninja barely get any breaks... Why did they say they missed the action packed life in Rebooted when they've barely been out of it? It's been less than a year anyway... To me, it kind of contradicts the story and the things the ninja say, with this whole "old teenagers (yes that's what he said)" thing... And the fact that they'll always be teenagers? I dunno... What if instead of the ninja going through all that in such a short time, Ninjago's world is actually in a suspended timeline? Meaning the ninja may have been in the game for much longer, but time is slower here... Since there obviously is an actual timeline here... Tommy did say this was sort of a possibility... Also yeah, lots of people theorize that Maybe the ice master shared his element with Zane through his power source, and I guess it just stuck to Zane after that (his new body)... Also yeah, lots of people theorize that Maybe the ice master shared his element with Zane through his power source, and I guess it just stuck to Zane after that (his new body)... Less than a year is still a pretty long time to be out of the action after fighting skeletons and snakes and stone people back to back. Not very long, but long enough to be bored with peace. They haven't really said anything that contradicts them being teenagers. I kinda wish he didn't give those age estimations... they can't be younger than 19 because of the time he gave, and they can't be older because Not Allowed To Grow Up is in play. It's.. kinda limiting. Not limiting for the story of course, but it limits the amount of time that can pass any further.. and even then, it doesn't, they can do what they want, but it'd be stretching Suspension of Disbelief, unless they retcon their ages down a year or two. Still though, officially, just vague late teens, and the story, as the show presents itself, doesn't contradict that. And, at the end of the day: You mean in the Digiverse? That doesn't seem possible. It was only a small part of Rebooted, and it's not like we were following the ninja the whole time, we saw what was going on outside. I doubt it took Overlord very long to absorb Lloyd's Golden Power, and that the others could protect the ninja's bodies from the Nindroids for an extended period of time. I know about those theories. I can't wait to see what mechanics about elemental powers HoT will explain. Quote

No, Tommy said that Ninjago's time could be different than ours. So I was thinking it could be safe to assume, that NInjago itself has a suspended timeline. Which would explain why the ninja go through so much yet apparently such little time (on our side of things) has passed. A similar phenomenon is used in the Sonic series, where Mobius (Sonic's world) passes through time much less quicker than Earth. I think it was 6 months on Mobius translate to 6 years on Earth. I'm not saying this exact ratio applies to Ninjago, but something similar to this. Tommy himself started this idea i'm getting, and it doesn't exactly contradict anything in Ninjago. Also, Day of The Departed has been confirmed by Tommy Andreasen to air as an uninterrupted 44 minute special. Edited October 2, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote

Oh, you mentioned when they were inside the game, so I thought you meant the Digiverse. And yeah, that's an okay theory.. but it could also be applied to every other fictional universe where time doesn't pass in real-time. It works, yeah, but... it's a little confusing. Wouldn't it be that less time passes in Ninjago than the real world? Quote

Yeah, that's what I meant. The thing is, I wouldn't have built upon this idea if I didn't see Tommy half-endorse this himself. I really don't remember the exact words, but he was the one who sort of came up with this. Edited October 2, 2016 by gamejutzu Quote
Mandate Posted October 5, 2016 Posted October 5, 2016 Think I've finished getting caught up on the news since I've been gone. Glad to hear from the SDCC panel that the show's story will continue after the movie. It's also good to hear that the writing team has been listening to fans and they're going to address some of the long-standing questions (eg Zane's power source). Just a shame so many of their answers were "You'll hear about this in DoTD" or "We're saving that for a future episode". DoTD looks like it could be good. Been a long time since we've had a single special, but it's a lot of characters to cram into one episode. I understand why a certain someone won't be showing up, but it is odd that he's not in the Hall of Villains seeing as he did more damage to Ninjago than anyone else... ༼ つ ._. ༽つ give overlord pls ༼ つ ._. ༽つ Or maybe that's what Hands of Time is for. The Vermillion look the part at the very least. Quote
