And the Overlord isn't dead. He's a spirit, but his location is unknown.

Is there something Tommy said that I missed, or is this just speculation...

Nothing has really confirmed anything of that sort otherwise.

Yup, Tommy. He's said several times that the Overlord can't be destroyed, and that he's currently a spirit.

I'm pretty sure even Yang knows how dangerous it would be to bring the Overlord back.

He actually could to be honest, and he'd be as physically dangerous as Chen, since without actual power the Overord can't really do much. He's gotta wait for the balance to shift.

He's gonna get an honorable mention.

Nah, Rebooted shows that he doesn't need the balance to shift. He needed to shift the balance to the side of evil in order to return to Ninjago (probably also has something to do with why he picked Garmadon's body instead of, say, Lloyd's). The Overlord simply needs to find a new "body" to possess in order to return.

Unless of course when Zane destroyed him. His spirit returned to the dark island. Maybe that's what the dark island trilogy book series is about.

It seems to be about Clouse harnessing the Dark Island's power.. or something.

His spirit was bound to the site of Garmatron when he died the first time. I don't think we can know for certain what happened to him after Zane killed him.

I'm just saying this because Tommy Andreasen gets tons of tweets about the Overlord, and that he's waiting for something to happen to really come back.

And if he possessed a statue, would he really be as strong as he was before?

Unless Tommy has said something I'm not aware of, aren't the villains in Day of the Departed just statues come to life, not the actual villains they represent?

The spirits of the previous villains possessed the statues. For all intents and purposes, they are the old villains. Pythor, since he is still alive, is a special case...

So... now we've got an actually dead realm? Any chance Pythor died between seasons or in the Dark Island trilogy?

Pythor was confirmed to be alive the entire time by Tommy A.

And yeah, we now have the Underworld, for disgraced warriors, the now-defunct Cursed Realm, for Cursed souls, and a really we're serious they're dead dead realm which features in DotD

I'm guessing Tommy confirmed the Underworld was for disgraced warriors?

At any rate, I'm guessing this is how Julien comes back if that plan goes through. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the list of realms is now:

- Ninjago

- The Underworld

- Unnamed dark realm

- Cursed Realm

- Chima

- Djinnjago

- Cloud Kingdom

- "Dead" realm

- Possible realm for "good" dead people?

- 7 unknown realms

No, there's just one collective realm for dead people. That's where the inhabitants of the Cursed Realm moved to, and apparently they're pretty happy there. But, some villains aren't satisfied, like Chen and Kozu (who I think was in the dead realm anyway).

No, I think they have their actual powers and abilities. Also, Morro is real and not a statue.

If Morro is real, and Cole will return to human form again -- do you think there is any possibility for Morro to come get redeemed and then go back as human again?

Not sure how that would work considering Morro's actual mortal body died a long time ago..

Sounds good, except Tommy Andreasen also confirmed that Garmadon's Realm is called the Realm of Madness.

I think I'm going to love having Tommy around.

Cole's getting his own body back and other characters (Zane, Overlord, probably some others I've forgotten, etc) have rebuilt theirs in the past.

But Cole's body was with him when he was cursed. He's a special case, his body never left him.

Also, someone asked for an episode name from Hands of Time. Apparently, an episode will be called, "A Line in the Sand".

Yeah, but we still don't know how Morro was cursed. He died in a geyser (?) and somehow got caught in the Cursed Realm.

Perhaps when he died his ghost got caught up in the same banishment the Anacondrai generals were sent into? Its obvious from Yang that if you die in Ninjago you can come back as a ghost but not be from the cursed realm. Its just that the cursed realm can turn living things into ghosts if they stay there long enough.

There might have been a second time the realm was opened to banish the ghosts in the sets when they were alive and morro was caught in that.

I'm pretty sure Morro died years after the Serpentine War, since Morro met Wu after Garmadon went to train with Chen and left before he came back. I think Morro just got cursed while looking for the tomb somehow.

Yeah, Tommy mentioned that's the case. He didn't specify who cursed him or exactly why in case they want to expand on it in the future.

It's undecided, but the top theory is that he desecrated the weapons or showed disrespect towards that whole system.

Also, Yang and his students survive because of the temple (which is pretty much a realm in itself). They can only be on temple grounds, and if they leave the same rules of normal ghosts (can't stay too long without a vessel, etc.) will apply to them.

I feel like these next two "additions" in the show explain and set up rules. DoD sets up rules for possession, realms, and being a ghost. And HoT will lay down the basic rules of elemental powers. I really do like that the world and lore is being built up instead of just being established or existing. They really didn't have to do that but they did.

Well, thanks for helping me get back into the swing of things guys. Hopefully once my uni work is done later this week I'll be able to go through all of Tommy's tweets and replies.
