Kai NRG Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Wow. Where did you get those pictures? The entire episode can be viewed in Korean; it's really good quality, but of course you can't understand a thing! I hadn't noticed there being four before - but seriously though, what else would Garmatron be? Maybe there's one mega commander - or maybe, since there's only one now, he just wont re-awaken the rest (of the biger ones, that is). OK, it's confusing! Quote
Aanchir Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) EDIT: And just for the heck of it... Please note that if both of the land masses were pushed together, they would form a Yin-Yang... In the words of Sonic the Hedgehog "Strange, isn't it?" Interesting to see the full shape of the Ninjago landmass, and glad to see that it still resembles a dragon (though the part we had seen before was just its head, and yes, there does appear to be some Yin/Yang imagery). It kinda bugs me that here it seems stylized differently than in past images, almost seeming more crocodilian than dragon-like, but it's still nice that they aren't abandoning that motif. FYI here's the map of Ninjago we had seen previously. It's been used in the show on occasion as well, such as when Nya is showing the locations of the Fang Blades. Hard to tell what's become of the Frozen Wasteland in the new screenshot. Edited September 29, 2012 by Aanchir Quote
PenPlays Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) Wow. Where did you get those pictures? Brickipedia, the Lego Wiki (the English version at least). Check in the new images area, and go back a few pages. Some of them aren't very clear, but the rest beside the two I showed aren't at all interesting. ^I never new it looked like a dragon, even from the beginning! That's OK; there were BIONICLE fans who went years and years before realizing that the island of Mata Nui looked like a face in profile! I don't think the ad agency ADVANCE is involved in Ninjago at all, so it's unlikely that the same artist (Christian Faber) is responsible for Ninjago's map, but I guess LEGO has no shortage of demand for subtly symbolic map designs. Frankly, even after hearing you talk about it, I still don't get a dragon face/head out of the map. Or out of the split world either for that matter. On another note, has anyone found part two of episode 20 yet? Edited September 29, 2012 by Kai NRG Quote

Really,I mean it took me a while to find it but the island do look like dragons...the dark one has the feet and the portal reveals the eye of it vise versa for the other one.Could this mean that the Rumored Golden Dragon is the lighted part of Ninjago, and if so is the black and purple one Garmatron . In another note it seems in the second photo that Penkid11 showed, that if looked closely enough there are two stone warriors/leaders near the Golden Ninja that in fact have the headgear that the photo from the encyclopedia showed, while the rest appear to have straw hats and knight helmets or at least close to that. Also does this mean that we would get huge minifigures that are the stone wrriors for the sets,if so way to go out with a bang for Ninjago. Lots of ideas,I know . Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 Part 2 of episode 20. It pretty much confirms that the four-armed thing is just a Stone Warrior. Quote
DraikNova Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 (edited) Thank you! It's pretty awesome. I can't wait for part 3. Edited September 30, 2012 by DraikNova Quote
Zachattacx Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 (edited) I'm surprised nobody has though of this type of mold without the whole "flashlight" gimmick, could make the 4-armed stone warriors with a little new molds and so. Edited September 30, 2012 by Zachattacx Quote

It could, although TLG would still have to introduce new molds since those key lights are third-party products made by a company called PlayVisions. Also, there would have to be care taken to ensure that the resulting molds were versatile and fully-compatible with other LEGO figures. I fully expect that if the four-armed Stone Warriors appear in sets, they will be regular minifigure-sized (though that discussion's probably more appropriate for the 2013 sets topic). I'm waiting for a high-quality version of the new episode to appear on YouTube before I watch it... normally I'd watch it on TV, but my room here at college doesn't get Cartoon Network. Lightning Dragon Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 (edited) The giant thing is a regular Stone Warrior after all. I think that Garmadon will challenge the Overlord of the Stone Army, and become the new Overlord, because IMO, he is a bit weak right now. To weak to even stand a chance against Lloyd and his crazy green powers Maybe Garmadon gets new powers if he becomes the Overlord, so I think he might become the Overlord. While that is a good idea (and I had been thinking the Overlord would be garmadon), Episode 20 revealed that the Overlord is a mystical eveil spirit, basically, that is trapped in the - well, traped somewhere - until the balance between good and evil is broken. Personnally, I don't quite like the way LEGO is taking this. Quote

Lightning Dragon Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 (edited) *cough cough* My guess is you haven't watched the bad quality episodes yet. Just watched them. Lego isn't doing too well with the show, the plot's all twisty and it's just...crappy. I also watched some old episodes again today, they were pretty good, but IMO, Ninjago's getting worse. BrettBrick Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 These shows are aimed at kids. My kids don't care they are all over the place they are exciting and totally different to anything else. Quote
PenPlays Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Regarding episode 21 It trumped Tick Tock as my favorite episode, by far! I love the direction the show is going, and the best of hope that it goes strong. Quote
Aanchir Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 The latest episode was indeed amazing. We got some great music, some great plot developments, and some interesting character development for Sensei Wu and Misako. She's definitely a badass, which is good because Ninjago has so few female characters in general. The only really cool ones were Nya and Edna. At the same time, some parts of her characterization seem a bit Mary Sue-ish. Knows Spinjitzu, is involved in a love triangle with some of the most incredible characters in the show, knows more about some things than even Sensei Wu does, and is generally well-liked by everyone? It has worked well for the show, but I can see why some people might want criticize her characterization. Her leitmotif is certainly awesome, of course. Hopefully she'll remain an integral part of the team. . Quote
