I don't recall the Pirate's going poof again...

But this makes me realize something...

We need cyber-enhanced pirates and we nee them now!

I was probably thinking about the Bizarro Ninja because the pirates drove a van in the Ninjaball run, so they probably didn't poof. It would be pretty cool if the pirates came back as cyborgs. I know The Great Devourer died, but I can't think of anyone else that died who wasn't mentioned, except Nya and Kai's parents.

I know The Great Devourer died

No he poofed too.

This is yet another piece of evidence that characters in Ninjago can only poof, rather than die (old age is the caveat).

Yep, it's poofing or old age. Another thing about the new episodes:

I like how The Overlord can posses his technology, such as nindroids and the mechdragon. Also, Lloyd doesn't know that Garmadon survived falling. :cry_sad:

Well, those were two interesting episodes...

I was definitely expecting Pythor to come back, but not in this way! Poor guy is all white and sounds like he has some kind of illness in his throat. Skates Jr and the purple Mezmo are both hilarious for some reason that I can't put my finger on. The Golden Master prophecy also sounds really interesting. I'm thinking the Overlord will become the Golden Master by absorbing Lloyd's golden power, and the ninja will have to fight him in that form at the end of the season. The Battle for Ninjago City set also suggests this. What do you guys think?

I was very happy to see Pythor again! He's my favorite character and I knew he couldn't be dead, so I'm very glad they brought him back, even though he's serving the Overlord now rather than himself. I wouldn't be surprised if he has some sort of ulterior motif though.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too, especially since Garmadon is teaching Lloyd not to rely on his golden power so much which will obviously help him in the final battle.

Seems right.

I... don't believe the Serpentine really are being nice. What is being said doesn't correlate with what we know. The reason why Pythor wanted to unleash the Devourer was because the citizens of Ninjago locked them away. I doubt that the Anacondrai would willingly lock themselves in without a food source, though it would shed some light on how Pythor survived if they didn't have enough food when they locked themselves in. It's also made pretty clear that most of the Serpentine want revenge on humanity for it. The fact that the Overlord invaded the tomb with Nindroids indicated that someone other than the Serpentine knew they were there, and the serpentine have no intention of preventing the Golden Master from coming. Someone also had to break the seal on the tomb, and the serpentine were unable to do that. That being said, I do doubt that the Serpentine would ally with the one who caused them to be stuck inside the tomb in the first place. Still though, we'll find out later whether or not they are being true.

But as Wu said, "never trust a snake."

The Overlord from The Battle for Ninjago City set, and the silhouetted (with gold highlights) Golden Master are identical. It's not just a suggestion...

Perhaps (opinion) the serpentine locked themselves away because of the foolishness of the people of Ninjago. It was the people of Ninjago's fault that they had to lock themselves away from the Golden Master.

It's highly likely that the Anacondrai did lock themselves in with a food source. Suppose that some sort of creature(s) lived underground where the Anacondrai built their tomb, but those creatures were wiped out when the desert had consumed the land.

"We should have been the ones ruling the surface! Not you!" - Pythor

"There will be nothing it won't consume!" - random snake in episode 10 All of Nothing

Skales doesn't believe in legends. That's been pretty well established. He didn't believe the Great Devourer existed, or Ouroboros, or the Dark Island, and when they discovered the tomb of the Stone Army he claimed it was impossible that the image was referring to him.

So he didn't believe even the two legends of the serpentine, why would he believe a third?

Numerous quotes from Pythor state that the Serpentine were forced underground by humans, and Sensei Wu's flute practically confirms it. Don't forget how Fangtom stated that Lloyd had, "freed," them. The prophecy doesn't match up with what is already known, and already established. I doubt the serpentine would lock themselves in a tomb with only a button on the outside to let them out. The attack on the Stone Army's tomb couldn't have been a simple diversion, given how far away Lloyd and Garmadon were.

I think the Serpentine's story is revisionist history at its finest (it does, after all, seem to conflict with much of what we know of Ninjago history), but I feel like that's more of a sign that they want to try and erase the errors of their past than that they are seeking to deceive and take advantage of the Ninja. Skales in particular seems like he's trying to put his past behind him.

Not sure if yall have seen this

http://ninjago-theories.tumblr.com/

I'm unsure whether to believe it or not. it lacks source but it did come close to the offical summuries of "Black Out" and "Curse of the Golden Master"

I heard something about that too... I hope it's wrong, but, yes, that final theory is regretfully plausible.

I don't know much about the person making these theories, but at this point many of them are just pure speculation.

For instance, in their most recent post they mention we don't know anything about new episodes for 2015. We have actually gotten confirmation from a Cartoon Network press release that the series is returning with new episodes in 2015. So there's no risk that the movie will be taking the place of the TV series next year — in fact, I wouldn't even count on it coming out next year, since we don't even have a tentative release date yet.

They've also gotten some key details in their "final theory" wrong.

For instance, their theory about the Serpentine in "The Curse of the Golden Master" hinges on the Serpentine being warlike and doesn't even consider the possibility that the Serpentine would try to change their ways, as we saw in the episode.

Needless to say, I have no doubt that SOME parts of this theory are accurate — if the titles and synopses they're based on are accurate. But it doesn't tell us anything with certainty besides what the synopses already say or imply.

Except that one of the Serpentine has continually been being, "warlike," AKA Pythor. I have high doubts that the Serpentine are telling the truth simply because it would be a more blatant revision than the Mega Weapon not being remembered by Lloyd yet remembered by Skales and the other Serpentine. There's numerous quotes from different snakes that indicate it was the humans who locked them away. That was the entire reason they attacked NINJAGO City in the first place.

Regarding NINJAGO Theories... good grief, if those are the correct episode descriptions then that clears up a lot of stuff. Question is, though... where's Garmadon?

Me?

Seriously though, although there may be some truth in the descriptions, it is highly unlikely that they are exactly on spot, and probably even if they are there would be a lot of info missing

Don't get me wrong. I KNOW the Serpentine's "history lesson" was seriously whitewashing their incredibly checkered past. But I think they were telling the truth about giving up on their desire to conquer the surface dwellers and deciding instead to live in peace underground. After all, that plan hasn't exactly gone swimmingly for them — first they ended up following Pythor's mad plan to awaken the Great Devourer, which was just as much a threat to them as it was to the people of Ninjago, then they suffered defeat after defeat when they started working with Garmadon, and then they finally ended up sealing THEMSELVES underground by mistake. Honestly, if they were still trying to rule Ninjago at this point I would really question their intelligence.

Pythor, of course, is still dreaming of ruling Ninjago, and still trying to manipulate an evil force beyond his control in order to do so. Keep in mind that despite being a cunning manipulator, Pythor is not entirely sane. Unleashing the Great Devourer was as foolhardy a decision on his part as it was for the other Serpentine. I wouldn't be at all surprised if his ambition and confidence in his own powers of manipulation comes back to bite him yet again. I don't think the Overlord will be any more willing to share his throne with Pythor than he was with Garmadon.

Very true, but the Serpentine have been bent on conquering NINJAGO from the beginning. The tomb had to be opened somehow, and someone had to inform the Overlord that the Ninja were there. And a diversion to prevent the ninja from rescuing Lloyd when Lloyd is probably on the other side of the planet (figuratively) by now?

If that's so, does that mean...

Don't get me wrong. That sounds pretty cool.

Out of curiosity, do the Graphic Novels directly tie into the TV show?

No, not usually. So far all of them have been side-stories without incredibly specific placement in the show's timeline.

While talking with Greg Farshtey on the LEGO Message Boards, it seemed I stumbled upon a MAJOR plot point for the TV series...

The post in response to my questions involving graphic novels #11 and #12. All he said was that #11 is connected to the show...you know what that means...

EDIT: Sorry, I reposted it by mistake...

Finally caught up on the series. The "Rebooted" story arc is going a lot better than I expected. I don't know why I didn't have high expectations for it in the first place, but that's irrelevant now! I am a bit confused about something though...

If Pythor escaped the Devourer's stomach, at what point did he reunite with the other Serpentine? Or did I get the wrong idea about the situation, but it seemed like Pythor was living underground like the other Serpentine. It also seemed like the other Serpentine knew Pythor was still alive, but I may have just misinterpreted some details of the episode...

Well, it does match up pretty well with the theories that the guy on Tumblr had. I'm really interested to see what would happen in space with the ninja.

I agree! Pythor's evil twists and turns and betrayals make him my favorite!

Ninjago Book 11 is called "Comet Crisis" I'll be interesting to see where this is going polt wise. I mean Ninja in space...that's a cross of two of the greatest lego series' in my opinion.

Btw, have you read the blog Ninjago: The Final Theory? It seems to have episode descriptions for the rest of the Rebooted Season, which confirm (sort of) that the ninja are going to space.

I'm pretty sure the summaries are accurate as it had The Curse of the Golden Master summary way before the episode actually came out, and it was accurate.
