Aanchir Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Incidentally, in case anybody was still unclear about the fate of the TV series next year, please look at the synopsis for this book, due for release in November: "Kids will discover everything they need to know about Cyrus Borg, Pixal, the Overlord, and the Nindroids, plus all the latest info about Cole, Jay, Kai, Zane, and Lloyd. The book also includes a special sneak peek at season five of the TV show." Incidentally, it's also a reminder that the season numbering is still confusing. The way the seasons are numbered in America and Germany (and probably some other countries), this year's episodes are Season Three and next year's episodes would be Season Four, not five, because those countries treated the thirteen episodes after the original TV special as Season One and the next thirteen episodes as Season Two. In the rest of the world (and WilFilm's own production numbers, judging by their Vimeo account), the original one-hour special and the two-minute mini-movies that accompanied it are treated as Season One — however, all 26 episodes from 2012 are treated as Season Two, so this year's episodes would technically be Season Three by either measure. So calling next year's episodes "Season Five" appears to be an error — perhaps informed by the IMDB page and other resources which both treat the original one-hour special as Season One and each thirteen-episode block in 2012 as a separate season. Gatanui Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Finally got around to watching it. Really cool episode. :) Awesome things the episode includes are: Wu vs Garmadon, Tron/Matrix-esque world, four golden Ninja and the Techno Blades find their purpose. The end makes it sound like the Overlord was destroyed, but I think there will still be an evil surprise, as not all plot points were resolved. Cyrus Borg is missing and it's not clear if the Golden Master was awakened or not. Also, Lloyd has wound up on a "remote village" and we haven't seen it yet, but that sounds a lot like a Chekov's Gun. Since there are still three episodes left called Arcturus Operation (where I suppose they will search Borg and Lloyd), Return of the Golden Weapons and Age of the Golden Master, I'd say dis ain't ova yet. -Gata Quote
Aanchir Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Incidentally, the July LEGO Store Calendar confirms the next two episodes will be airing in the U.S. on July 13[/i]. So we've still got some time to wait before they air. Still, good to have a confirmed date. Quote

Mesonak Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I believe this channel is what people are referring to. :D Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Geez, from what I could understand (terrible quality, chatty child manning the camera, etc.) these two episodes are probably the best Ninjago episodes yet! But I will be very happy when they are officially released and we have good quality video. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 @Gatanui I have people saying the titles for 33 and 34 at "the void" and the "titanium ninja" Quote
Gatanui Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 @Gatanui I have people saying the titles for 33 and 34 at "the void" and the "titanium ninja" Those don't sound too realistic to me. Where are they getting that from? -Gata Quote
Starrocks923 Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Those don't sound too realistic to me. Where are they getting that from? -Gata The Ninjago Final Theory blog, which took them from an accidental leak of episode titles on the Cartoon Network website if I'm not mistaken.(I think I saw a screencap where episode 33 had a description involving golden weapons in space.) With that being said, while I haven't found anything in The Final Theory contradictory so far(Please post links to such instances, I want to see them!), I have been told this blogger removes his posts when they become inaccurate. A humorous google search result showed an unedited "Ninjago Final Theory" on Wikia that had not been changed since September 2012, detailing how the First Spinjitzu Master was plotting with the villains to destroy everything. Did I mention he regularly advertises his fanon on his blog in an attempt to show his logic? Confusing stuff. @Gatanui I have people saying the titles for 33 and 34 at "the void" and the "titanium ninja" The Void is practically confirmed by whoever keeps leaking stuff from Australia.(Side note, isn't it illegal to upload videos of TV shows online, or watch them in that manner? Not that anyone should go to jail for it, but LEGO did put a lot of effort into giving us the show...) The Titanium Ninja(If true)would probably fulfill the obligatory requirement of a ninja turning a special color and with new powers, but when I read that Theory site(The blogger claims to be 100000% certain on the matter), I noticed how he mentioned how Titanium is STRONG. Cole sounds like the strongest Ninja in my opinion, so if it's not Zane, Cole is my guess. The friend zone hurts... Quote

If there is a Titanium Ninja, I think Zane is still the most likely candidate, since he's the only character who has an otherwise unexplained costume change in the sets. The new Lloyd in Battle for Ninjago City probably signifies the Overlord's removal of his golden power, but the significance of Zane's new costume has not yet been hinted at in the show or product descriptions for the sets. Of course, there's also the possibility that the "Titanium Ninja" is whatever character we're getting in the Character Encyclopedia, but I still find Zane the more likely candidate since he's essentially the poster child of this arc. LegendsOfNinjago Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Yeah, I was thinking about it at work today. But the ninjago theory man has Changed his original theory many time to fit with the current episodes. 31 and 32 you would think at least hint at the Titanium Ninja while they do not. Never the less I will remain skeptical until I have proof. Quote

Not that anyone should go to jail for it, but LEGO did put a lot of effort into giving us the show... At least where I live, it isn't. Really, why would it be illegal? The more places a show is available, the more people will hear about it and eventually watch the tv channel. At any rate, I'm rather excited for "The Titanium Ninja". No matter whether it is a mere metaphor (the likelier of the two) or actually a new ninja, it should be interesting. Edited June 7, 2014 by DraikNova Quote

No matter whether it is a mere metaphor (the likelier of the two) or actually a new ninja, it should be interesting. Publishing a copy of a recorded program without the permission of the owner or broadcaster of that program is a violation of copyright. It is illegal in the United States, and I believe in most other countries. Obviously, some companies don't take it very seriously at all, for the reason you stated: especially with merchandise-driven cartoons, republishing the media equates to free advertising for the company that created them. But obviously others feel differently, such as TV networks. They have to pay money to be allowed to broadcast the show in the first place, and thus obviously don't want other people republishing the same material for free. And also, every viewer who watches a show online instead of on the television is a viewer that is not being reflected by the TV network's viewership ratings. On a grand scale, this can make it more difficult for them to get big-name advertisers to invest in their network. Home media publishers also feel cheated when they pay money for the distribution rights to a TV show, but then discover that most people are watching it online for free. Sometimes they won't even agree to publish a show in DVD form if they feel like people are going to watch it illegally online instead, because it cuts into their market share. Some people are of the opinion that all media should be free for anyone to distribute, but from the point of view of media publishers, "bootleg" media publishing is no better than the production of "bootleg" LEGO sets and minifigures. It's a breach of copyright either way, and it has the potential to cut into the profits of the companies that publish the same media legally. Finally, the idea that most people would eventually watch the actual TV channel is a little bit optimistic, especially with cable TV channels which people have to pay for to even get connected to their homes. More and more people are choosing online services like Netflix or Hulu over expensive cable plans which get them lots of shows they don't care for and are chock full of advertising. LegendsOfNinjago Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Speaking of which, the Void is up. The ending is awful...can't wait for the last episode!!!!! Quote
Master_Data Posted June 12, 2014 Posted June 12, 2014 I have to say, The Void was my least favorite of the new bunch. It was a little predictable regarding the end- the Overlord looks like the Golden Master from the Serpentine's tale, but not like the one from the set, so he had to get the weapons somehow. It was still much, much better than some of the filler episodes in Season 2/3 (before the Stone Army episodes). Quote
