Takanuinuva Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 After seeing Episode's 33 and 34. I'm am shocked at what happened. I don't think we've seen the last of the Overlord what with the way he was defeated. I'm excited to see where Ninjago goes next. Pythor did get what was coming to him in the end. And I hope Nya ends up choosing Jay. Quote
Starrocks923 Posted June 16, 2014 Posted June 16, 2014 So I couldn't stop myself from watching it(It's in English, and it won't be shown on CN(I don't even have cable) until October, not to mention kids on the LEGO Message Boards spoiled something about Zane) and now I wish I waited until we had clearer audio. Too much talking, and a kid who is likely 12 cursing and telling his uncle to shut up didn't enhance anything in my viewing experience. The leaked description from months ago told us everything we needed to know. The apparent "choice" Nya made felt like a slap in the face, even though it was just a shoulder to cry on. Expect serious fallout in the next season, and probably outrage too. Still, I think the end was perfect. The surprise final offense on the Overlord was emotional(I didn't cry, I guess I'm too old for this kind of crap), and the final scene in the Borg Tower with P.I.X.A.L. was a smile at the perfect time. I must say, the first half of this season had too many (IMO) misfires for me to enjoy. The second half has really intrigued me, and I must say I'm excited about the next season.(Except for three of the characters I don't really want to think about.) YouTube... Look up ninjago episode 34 Yeah, Jaywalker(Not the guy here on EB) Lightningwalker is the user. The episode is divided into two parts. I don't link to videos that are not official, since they are technically pirated. BTW, LegendsofNinjago, I really like your sig. Sorry for going off topic there... Quote
Tobias_Jay Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 (edited) My gawd. (Spoilers for episode 34) Zane's dead! That was a ballsy move. This show has a cult following of twelve year olds! I kinda saw it coming, but it was still a smack in the face. I can see him coming back somehow next season or maybe PIXAL will become the new ice ninja (she does have half of his heart right?). Overall, good episode, so many feels. Edited June 17, 2014 by Wall E2624 Quote

Matoro all over again, but this time his essence has infiltrated the computer systems much like the Overlord did. Mixed feelings about this. Quote
PenPlays Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Regarding what happened... allow me to transcribe the last couple seconds of that episode. It opens your eyes on what happened to the *major plot point* in question... P.I.X.A.L. runs down the stairs to the Borg Tower Assembly Line that somehow sprung to life. She steps on the conveyor belt. It pulls her forward. She gives a smile of relief Zane's Voice: "Are we compatible now?" (scene) No one is dead for long in this series. They have to die of age or poof. Zane exploded, therefore applying to neither of the important criteria. Quote
CM4Sci Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 (edited) Hmm, that was... kind of emotional. I know I'm a but old for this, but dang, it made me just about shed a tear. -Sci Edited June 18, 2014 by CM4S Quote

Is Zane inside the tower or did he command the tower to build a new Nindroid body for him to live in. Again, we will have to wait for the next season. A season which I cannot wait for! Also, am I the only one who was not very happy with how Pythor went out? Not entirely sure if he's dead this time (probably not because he didn't poof or die of old age) but he is probably one of the best villains this show has seen and he felt underused after he was revealed as 'The Stranger.' I dunno, it was mildly disappointing. Edited June 18, 2014 by Wall E2624 Quote

The eyes on the machine arms glowed blue, exactly like Zane's eyes, so it seems that he transferred his consciousness into the computer realm much like the Overlord. The falcon is a robot, so it probably didn't eat Pythor. Quote

Mandate Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Thanks Starrocks for letting people know I'm not the guy on Youtube. Haven't been able to use the internet for a month (switching networks at home, at my town's library at the moment) Official release date for Volume 1 of Season 3 is 16/17 of July in Australia, and from the descriptions I've read it seems that it will contain all 8 episodes given the amount of plot references to the second half of the four episodes they have. Anyway, I've only seen the end of The Titanium Ninja, so it would be good if someone could fill me in on everything that's happened so far. (yeah, off-topic, I know.) Learning of Pythor's (presumed) demise is funny, did not expect he'd be eaten again From what people have wrote, I assume that Nya chose Cole. Ugh. There's going to be some serious hero-/-villain reductions and increases respectively next year. We've got twelve current protagonists, including Dareth, Borg and the Falcon, and no current enemy (granted Pythor is a somewhat loose end, as is the Overlord and I have no idea if anything's happened to the Nindroids). This year was the biggest for hero-/-villain ratios, excluding the snakes (considering most of them didn't get a verbal mention), so I'm wondering who the "main character" will be next year. I'm thinking either Pixal or Nya, or Jay. I doubt Cole will have his "year" yet. It could be Zane again though, after all Lloyd got a year and a half, and a technical two full years as his "year". According to the leak, the hint might not be enough to mean anything, I assume. Maybe it would only be more clear in the next season along with Zane's rivival. I personally regard the love triangle as "a dramatic plot need in the response of an extension of a popular cartoon series" much like those TV sitcoms. No matter whether Nya changed her mind, I personally don't like that kind of plot, and I'd expect that it ends up right now in this season. To be more realistic, if Cole really gets his season, that might be the time when his Miss Right makes debut . Edited July 8, 2014 by Dorayaki Quote
Aanchir Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 For those in the US, don't forget that there are two new episodes tomorrow evening (well, new for those like me who haven't watched them online)! Quote
AnthonyP301 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 (edited) Just finished episodes 31-32. I don't want to watch new episodes until they air in the U.S. I guess that stuff about the Golden Weapons in space is correct. I didn't really get the "reflecting the light" of the golden power in the digiverse. I wonder if they'll make any references/crossovers in space, maybe we can learn more about the planet Ninjago is on. I'm angry with Nya, no one should stay in a relationship with someone who would act like that, ugh . The beginning of ep. 32 felt like a commercial for the X-1 Ninja Charger, but I thought the episodes were good overall. Edited July 13, 2014 by AnthonyP301 Quote

That part with the X-1 Ninja Charger felt more to me like a parody of spy movies and TV shows, what with Pixal acting as "mission control" and Kai playing the spy who's too cool to play by the rules (coupled with the musical score, which remixed the regular and brilliantly into something that perfectly suited the context).I was a bit disappointed that the X-1 Ninja Charger was not another surprise from Nya's "samurai cave", but the story role they gave it also fits. That's a good point. I thought the transition between the two episodes felt strange skipping so much time, they could have showed the group rescuing Lloyd, but the time jump was necessary for the Overlord's minions to build the Arcturus rocket. I wasn't sure what I was expecting with the X-1 showing up, but there were other things in the Samurai cave that I noticed in the background so I wasn't expecting it to be a samurai vehicle if they didn't show it in the cave but showed some other vehicles. I hope you understood that, . Quote
Aanchir Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 Somehow I missed the new promotional song "Full Digital" from The Fold, which came out last month: There's also a full version of the remix of "The Weekend Whip" featured as the opening theme in the current season: Just downloaded both to my iTunes and added them to my Ninjago playlist! Quote
PenPlays Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 (edited) There's also a full version of the remix of "The Weekend Whip" featured as the opening theme in the current season: It's funny how that little lovely has passed by you for nearly seven months (usually nothing gets past you, especially if its of this sort ). The FOLD put it on their Youtube Channel in January, and it has been one of my favorites since. I must say though, that the new remix fits the X-1 chase scene really well! Speaking of the X-1 Ninja charger, I love how well it was translated from set-to-show, as the actual vehicle in the show looks exactly like the actual model (for once, although some of it's "extra features" i.e. computers and transformation made it seem much, much cooler.) Can't wait for more of the show! Only two more episodes to air, and probably another three month long wait (Why keep us waiting!?! Why!?!) EDIT: Full Digital is different from what The FOLD has done in the past. It's not a favorite yet, but I'm sure that it will grow on me over time. Edited July 16, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote

I only really noticed the song "Full Digital" when I was getting the Weekend Whip remix on iTunes and thought to check what else I might have missed. XD I already mentioned it in the sets topic, but there's going to be a Ninjago panel at San Diego Comic-Con, featuring some LEGO designers as well as the writers from the show. I wonder if we might get any interesting new information there. Maybe even some info on the movie, since the Hageman brothers are in charge of the screenplay for that as well. Quote

I only really noticed the song "Full Digital" when I was getting the Weekend Whip remix on iTunes and thought to check what else I might have missed. XD What I've done which I suggest you do as well would be to follow the band members on Twitter and/or add them on Facebook. That way you will know when they've released something new or are working on something new. If you don't know the members' names I can get them for you if you think it'd be easier for you to keep up with their updates. Quote
PenPlays Posted July 16, 2014 Posted July 16, 2014 A little something I notice in the episode "Codename: Arcturus" It looks like the Hageman Brothers have debuted as some not-so-happy movie goers. A very nice touch. Quote

Tobias_Jay Posted July 17, 2014 Posted July 17, 2014 (edited) The first four episodes of Rebooted are available on DVD in Australia now. I picked up a copy at Kmart for $16. Edited July 17, 2014 by Wall E2624 Quote
