Aanchir Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 That looks like a bootleg copy. On the back cover, it shows pictures from 2 of the first half of Rebooted, along with a picture from the Nindroid game? The front cover looks like It was slapped together in photoshop, the ninjas looks too plastic-y, Cole's techno-blade is defying gravity, the Overlord is in his digital form drawing power from the Temple of Light, and the temple looks too much like the set version. It even has the elemental blades. And why is Ninjago city next to the temple? It just look too cheesy to be real. And don't even get me started on Lloyd's suit. And there's a "Pilot Episode", god knows what that means I'm pretty sure that's the real cover. It's listed on the websites of various reputable retailers like Barnes & Noble as well. The American DVD covers for Ninjago are generally not the best, IMO, using inconsistent art and images. Just look at the current DVD cover for the original 2011 TV special (bizarrely branded as "LEGO Ninjago & Friends"), which uses a picture of Jay in his ZX costume from 2012. And before that, the "Season One" DVD set showed grown-up Lloyd on the cover, with some errors on his torso pattern. And of course, the original DVD for the TV special and the "Season Two" DVD set used 2D illustrations/key visuals for the front cover while the "Season One" DVD set and both Season 3 DVDs used CGI front cover illustrations more like the actual series. Speaking of DVDs, does anybody know of if the Ninjago "Season Two" Blu-Ray set has the same sound issues as the DVD set? Quote
PenPlays Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 Speaking of DVDs, does anybody know of if the Ninjago "Season Two" Blu-Ray set has the same sound issues as the DVD set? Seeing as the "Part 1" DVD of Season 2 has these issues as well, I have no doubts. It's a shame too that we may never get the episodes with correct sound! Quote
Mandate Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Blu-ray editions? Darn. Darn darn darny DARN. I need to get my hands on those Quote
PenPlays Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) Wait a minute... BLU-RAY! I feel the sudden urge to pick it up... but the wait for an entire series DVD collection is stronger. I'll be patient, then buy them for three bucks if no series collection is released. (Note: this is speculation on my part. There is currently no "complete series DVD" coming.) Mandate Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Eh, I've found "complete collections" of individual seasons, but yeah, a "complete edition" probably is never coming. Quote
Thelegomaster Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Wasn't a Complete series DVD coming before REBOOTED was announced? Quote
Aanchir Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 Wasn't a Complete series DVD coming before REBOOTED was announced? It was, but I believe the decision to continue the series ended up undermining those intentions. You can't exactly release something as "The Complete Series" and then go ahead and make new episodes. BringHimSoup Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Just saw this at the end of The Titanium Ninja. Why is Kai in his suit from King of Shadows? Quote
Mandate Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) I figured we'd get a teaser... An elemental Samurai? Why is Jay wearing a ZX suit? Why is Kai wearing his original gi? Why are they on a boat? Why is Lloyd wearing his "Techmono"? Why is Cole wearing the DX suit!? edit: You know what? I'm not even going to bother theorizing on the plot for the time being. This is waaay too ridiculous, and I'm hoping this is going to get seriously changed before release. Otherwise... BIONICLE may win me over yet. This looks horrible. And I'm not talking about the video quality for once. Edited November 27, 2014 by JayWalker Quote

And I'm not talking about the video quality for once. I would say wait until the episodes have aired before judging the entire season. It's kinda hard to do so based on a one-minute clip. Anyways, I think it looks pretty neat. The combat has definitely improved, which is great. Quote
PenPlays Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 That teaser!! If I may say, there's a good chance that the animators use previous Gi wearing Ninja when they test out footage, and then apply the correct Gi later. Using previous models to test things is not unheard of in the animation business. I'm really loving the fighting choreography! Bring on 2015!! Quote
Cagast Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 (edited) I noticed Skylar with cloak hood piece at the beginning. And the uploader says that LEGO emailed him? I don't know what to say abou this, but he's said: "When the Golden Master was destroyed, the golden elemental power was spread throughout all of Ninjago. Ordinary people began to possess elemental powers and soon the ninja find out their not the only ones with elemental powers. The ninja pursue a quest to find these people and convince them to join them and become ninjas. Some joined and some refused. The rest of the story will be told on January 18th 2015:)" Edited November 27, 2014 by Cagast Quote
BringHimSoup Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 This still doesn't explain why the Anacondrai are back. And why does TLG love January so much? Quote
Mandate Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Good grief... that IS Skylar. That makes even LESS sense now. But anyway, thanks Cagast. That gives me a bit of hope about the new season. But I guess this is just CN doing crazy stuff again, this is just a fight scene. One with no real sense of flow to it, or explanation either. Kai is fighting a Samurai, and the Samurai has the ability to turn into... metal. The coreography is good but the flow is terrible, and it makes Kai seem like an even bigger idiot than he seemed in Codename: Arcturus. Buuuut that's just my opinion. Quote
Cagast Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Kai's always an idiot It confuses me that Kai and samurai fight with powers and all while Skylar just stays at the deck not even looking at them, and then disappears few seconds later. Plus old suits. I hope that real episode won't be like this. Quote

Master_Data Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) http://lvaf-autogirl...an-see-the-date you all may find this very interesting.... That may explain why the fight looked so weird and uninteresting- it may just be a contest! Edited November 28, 2014 by Master_Data Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 That's what i was thinking...But i also agree and think that the suits are just there because the scene isn't finished. The ZX Costumes couldn't exist anymore due to the the fact that the suits got turned into the Kimono Suits Quote
Mandate Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Ah ah ah, assumptions! Not all of the ZX suits were, it was their spare suits that allowed Garmadon to make the Bizarro Ninja, and there were more copies in Mother Doomsday's comic book shop. That leaves at least two sets of each prior to the Temple of Light, excluding Lloyd (who probably only had one suit anyway). I sure hope that "competition" thing is correct. It would explain a lot. However... an island? Like, a new island? Darn. There goes Hiroshi's Labyrinth, it must have gotten stuck inside Hageman's Labyrinth. However, the island thing explains the steamboat trip, but I'm going to question the Samurai bit for now. I'm wondering how Pythor is going to get involved with this, and how the Cultists fit in. Quote
Garmadon Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 That may explain why the fight looked so weird and uninteresting- it may just be a contest! Judging from the set, that is not improbable (added to which all the other ninja are just looking on and smiling) Here´s a pic of the set (Dojo Showdown): Quote
Cagast Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) So this explains why Skylar just stands there not being interested about explosions and fight that happens near her and why others don't help Kai. I think plot will be: ninjas get an invitation to Chen's tournament of elements, which is on an island, island is covered with jungle. On their way Kai fights Hanlan on that ship. And Chen is Anacondrai cultist from Anacondrai Copter set (you can make out his name). So Chen actually lures them in a trap, the jungle is full of Anacondrai cultists... I can't think of better storyline that fits both story and trailer clip. Edited November 28, 2014 by Cagast Quote
BringHimSoup Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 I just saw on the Wikipedia that Kai's last name is Smith and Cole's last name is Brookestone. Is this true? Quote
Mandate Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Kai's last name is indeed Smith, but Cole's last name is Bucket. Word of advice: When it comes to TV show "secrets", don't trust Wikipedia. Quote

Uh... Smith? Bucket? I was pretty sure these were fan-names that got too widespread. I am aware that Jay's last name is Walker (the puns... Jay-Walker ). On the subject of last names, there's a possibility that Zane's last name is Julien, as most doctors (Dr. Julien in this case) are addressed by their last names... Zane is a robot however, so this fact might not stand due to him not actually being "human." Quote
