PenPlays Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 This video basically screws around with the lore a fair bit, but with a bit of ingenuity and headcanon you can get past it. Those are their "actor names"... It was used as a comedy device (it worked). Jay's last name, however comes from the shows credits, as both Ed and Edna sported the name. Quote

Jay's last name, however comes from the shows credits, as both Ed and Edna sported the name. Eh, I wouldn't be too sure of that. There's been no real clarification on this, and if it's the "actor names" why not just use the actual actor's names? Or why not make up completely new names for each "actor"? The only guy whose name was actually changed was Garmadon's. Also, the whole "Jay Walker" thing rings a bell too. That name came into the show far before this was released (even in other countries), and was probably written during Season 2 around the time Episode 25 was in development. EDIT: Better version of that teaser! https://www.youtube....h?v=S7Eqy02UmCo EDIT 2: On an unrelated note, I forgot how much I loved the original intro. I want it back :( Edited November 29, 2014 by JayWalker Quote

Clarification regarding the last names (besides Jay's)? Technically it goes both ways. We haven't gotten clarification if it is just their actor names, or their real names. I think I'll just stick to calling them by their first names, and that's it. Ed and Edna's full names were featured during the credits of one of the Rise of the Snakes episodes. You were right that the funny video was released far after the reveal of the Walkers' last name. Edited November 30, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote
Mandate Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Good point. I try not to bother with last names in the TV show anyway. They pretty much well never get brought up anyway (well, except that one time in Episode 29) Actually, in the video the scripts they're holding at one point say "Episode 25: The Overlord Cometh" so I'd say it was around that time, anyway. coolcab1 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I personally think that video is just a joke I didn't take it seriously. Quote
Aanchir Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I recently saw the latest season's finale. Goodness gracious, that was epic! The last scene was wonderfully uplifting after the tear-jerking climax, and definitely left me wanting more! As did the teaser for the next season! I loved the new versions of "A Memory Switch" and "Pixal" that played during the episode. In the Cartoon Network broadcast version you didn't get this, but on the digital download version, the vocal version of "Pixal" continues to play during the end credits sequence instead of "The Weekend Whip". On that note, LEGO Ninjago has been nominated for an Annie Award for "Outstanding Achievement for Music in an Animated Television / Broadcast Production"! Quote
Mandate Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) The continued version also exists on the disc (at least in Australia, anyway). Last time we had an episode without the outro breaking the mood was Episode 12. Also, the "Pixal" remix originally came out in Episode 29, during the scene where Pixal and Zane fight together. But anyway, I'm really looking forward to the new season now plot details keep emerging. The sets are also really good this year, especially after how bad some of them were in the prelims. EDIT: Even higher quality version of the preview! Gotta love how BZP lists practically everything as news Edited December 2, 2014 by JayWalker Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I warned you... I hope this means he's just out for the games and not permanently... Quote
Chimaninja454 Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Again, I have found two (and maybe three) errors at the Cartoon Network schedule: After losing Zane, the Ninja is more fractured than ever, and everyone in the tournament is gunning for the favorite - Skylar, P.S: I don't know about the favorite is Lloyd or Skylar... Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 wow...i guess that would make things difficult to tell,... Quote

Is this your prediction of what you think it's supposed to say? This is the description for the third episode, right? Yup, it is. Here's the first two episodes' descriptions from a page ago: http://lvaf-autogirl...an-see-the-date you all may find this very interesting.... I'm pretty sure Cartoon Network got it right with Cole and Lloyd. We know that it's a tournament that they are going to. Maybe Cole was disqualified? And since Lloyd isn't the "Golden Ninja" anymore with his golden powers, maybe he wasn't the Ninja's first choice as their trump card. Edited December 2, 2014 by Penkid11 Quote
Cagast Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I saw episode 38 description too, Jay and Kai are lost too, and Lloyd wins the tournament. Does anybody believe this? Quote
Cagast Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) I see that description on various forums, but I can't find the solid proof. Go to http://www.cartoonnetworkasia.com/ asian Cartoon network schedule. You can access episode descriptions 35-38 if you change to the right date. Episode 35 should be on december 20th, 36 should be on 27th and I am not sure for 37 and 38. I can't figure out how to change the date, but it's obviously possible as somebody took screnshoots of the descriptions. EDIT: It's impossible to go that far to see episode 38, so these were just speculations, not true descriptions Edited December 2, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Mandate Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 So... exactly what's going on right now? Is CN just changing the descriptions at random, or is someone photoshopping these? Quote
Takanuinuva Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Remember the original descriptions of episodes 14 through 26. They got the episode names correct but the descriptions were way off from what they actually turned out to be. The fake descriptions had the ninjas fighting pirates and searching for keys. These could be the same. Don't judge the episode descriptions till they're actually released. Quote
Mandate Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Considering we're 17 days away from the release of the first episode, this is an entirely different case to those leaks. Remember this year's own leaks? Yeah. Quote
Cagast Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) So... exactly what's going on right now? Is CN just changing the descriptions at random, or is someone photoshopping these? It's not photoshopping because more people say that they can see the same descriptions on CN Asia's TV schedule, but I can't find the way how to change the date which leads to new episode's descriptions. It's obviously possible, but nobody ever said how to do that... EDIT: I found it! http://m.cartoonnetw...date=2015-01-24 I just linked to wrong site and here it actually works EDIT 2: US season 5 episodes premiere is coming in February (read video's description) http://www.cartoonne...jago-new-season Edited December 3, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Mandate Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Sorry, my brain screwed me over and I had this idea in my head that The Titanium Ninja was episode 36, so I thought we had gotten two lots of descriptions for episodes 27 and 28. In short, I'm an idiot. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 HAPPY NINJA-DAY!!! Here's some more footage: http://www.lego.com/en-us/ninjago/ninjaday Also, I would like to point out the the voice that says "get one with it"...who could it be? and we see the Jade Blades! Quote
Cagast Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I wonder what's with the first video. It looks like it's not from an episode. But if it is, I don't like it if they put Nindroids back in the story. Quote
Garmadon Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 I wonder what's with the first video. It looks like it's not from an episode. But if it is, I don't like it if they put Nindroids back in the story. I would seriously doubt it, from the way it looked I would say it has as little to do with the episodes as the set TV adds usually do. Quote
Mandate Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 No, we had confirmation Nindroids would be a recurring plot element. It probably is from the new series, I personally don't recall Wilfilm (the guys who make the show) ever making anything specifically for an ad, and it doesn't look like something Advance would do. Quote
coolcab1 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Well all the nindroids weren't killed/destroyed or this could be a simulation of some sorts. Anyway I LOVE the tournament suits and the new remix of weekend whip...OH YES!!! Quote
Mandate Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 The only Nindroids we actually saw destroyed that even mattered were Mindroid and Cryptor (RIP Mindroid, we barely knew ye), there's still an entire army walking around. How they got on the new/Dark Island is beyond me, though. Quote
