coolcab1 Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Well I don't think that this is form the episodes but I could be proven wrong again. Quote
Mandate Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Odd thing I just noticed. In the scene where Kai and Hanlan fight for the Jade Blade Kai is STILL wearing his original gi. Quote
coolcab1 Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Their has to be a reason for this I assume that the ninja choose random suits for the tournament and then get their tournament suit but it still is very odd. Quote
Mandate Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I wouldn't be surprised if Pythor had something to do with the Nindroids. Heck, this entire thing reeks of Pythor. Humans turning into not just snakes, but a near-dead subspecies? Pythor. Battle Royale? Pythor. Etc. Quote
Cagast Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 At 0:35, Kai is wearing his tournament suit. Quote
PenPlays Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 At 0:35, Kai is wearing his tournament suit. Is there a new video? None of the videos we have so far feature the Tournament Suit. Quote
Mandate Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 So apparently the new season is called Return of an Ancient Evil and will premiere in the US on the 18th of January. Anyway, the whole "Shadow of Ronin" thing is getting me curious as to what the game will be about. It's apparently set in the TV universe, yet not based on it. Although the description of the game mentions Sensei Wu, so at least we know he's still alive. Quote
Aanchir Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Their has to be a reason for this I assume that the ninja choose random suits for the tournament and then get their tournament suit but it still is very odd. Alternatively, it could just be preliminary. It's not unheard of for there to be discrepancies between prerelease teasers for digitally animated shows and the finished episodes. Quote
Mandate Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I saw some shipping happening over Skylor on the MB's, and I realized that Jay falling in love with Skylor (particularly with the hinting that Cole x Skylor is a thing) would be a brilliant twist in the plot. Although if they were to pull the "Overlord influenced Perfect Match" thing, or if Cole liked Skylor more than Nya, it would create some pretty massive rifts among them. So while it would be a great twist to have, it'd have huge repercussions. Quote
Cagast Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) Is there a new video? None of the videos we have so far feature the Tournament Suit. Second trailer look at 0:35, pause and Kai's suit is very very different than his classic 2011 which he had in other scenes. Jay falling in love with Skylor Cole's favorite color is orange. There must be a reason why they put that in his bio. I would like to see that plot twist though! Would be interesting, but not likely going to happen. I looked at MB's too, and most of shipping is Kai and Skylor. Most of them think her element is fire. That doesn't matter. And is this a picture from new season? Edited December 6, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Mandate Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) Yeah, I know Cole's fave color is orange (heck, I'm the one who brought that up in the first place regarding Skylor). But yeah, MB shipping doesn't really matter. We'll find out soon enough. Where did you find that picture? That's certainly LEGO, but if that's Nya then what the heck is she wearing? Is she "in the know" about Zane not revealing himself? Edited December 6, 2014 by JayWalker Quote
Cagast Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) I found it on a russian page. I can't find it anymore. While I was searching through the page, I also found a blurry picture of 3 headed Anacondrai, and concept art of "Fire Arena" which will probably be for the tournament. One of the best concept arts, and if it turns out anything similar in the show, it would be....superb. Edited December 6, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Mandate Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Anyway, I'm not sure if Hanlan is allied with Chen anymore. To me it seems far more likely that when the "Tournament of the Elements" was announced, the ninja, Skylor, Hanlan, that other guy from the Dojo set, plus anyone else invited, came to the island. Chen attracted the ninja to the island with clues that Zane was still alive, with Pythor directly organizing the entire thing with Chen to exact revenge on the ninja and lure them into a trap. The Jade Blades might not even have any ultimate importance to the plot other than a trophy. There's obviously some holes, and I'm still working out some kinks (and the Hageman brothers are going to include some kind of new addition to the plot no one could predict, like the Electrocobrai). What do you guys think? Quote
Cagast Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 (edited) Anyway, I'm not sure if Hanlan is allied with Chen anymore. To me it seems far more likely that when the "Tournament of the Elements" was announced, the ninja, Skylor, Hanlan, that other guy from the Dojo set, plus anyone else invited, came to the island. Exactly! He probably invites all of legendary warriors around Ninjago who have some sort of special power; Hanlan can turn into steel, Griffin is a sensei...Chen probably put Cultists there so contestants have someone to fight. And Cartoon Network Asia schedule has rapidly changed today and apparently we ow have episode 38 description: And now the most shocking Episode 39... Cole has found Zane So this reveals most of 2015 plot. Chen's staff is called Staff of Elements. "New alliance" is probably the orange ninja. Here is also a believed concept art for the Fire Arena. Let's hope this is real. Edited December 6, 2014 by Cagast Quote
Mandate Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I kinda doubt those are actually real. But then again, we did get Ninjaball Run. Also, that's probably concept art for LEGO Universe. The Fire Temple was a planned location, and that artstyle is incredibly similar to the LU concept style. Quote
Cagast Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 How do you mean they "aren't real"? They are there on the schedule http://m.cartoonnetworkasia.com/tv.php?date=2015-01-24 Quote
Mandate Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 They just seem too insane. A roller skating competition? Maybe the tournament isn't as deadly as it was made out to be. And by the way, I'm terrible at using CN's schedule. That's why I rarely ever use it. Quote
PenPlays Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 If I may say, a rollerskating derby is nowhere out of the question. It's just as pointless as the Mega Monster Amusment Park and Ninjaball Run. If we are getting another 12 episode season, then we are practically guaranteed filler. That's the way it was in the other seasons (sans Rebooted where there was just the right amount of episodes for the main plot with a couple other little goodies). Besides, these filler episodes aren't necessarily bad. Ninjaball Run is one of my favorite episodes due to how fun it was to watch. Not every episode can be the last two episodes of Season 2. Quote
Mandate Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 (edited) Ninjaball Run was a great filler episode. It's one of the reasons why I love NINJAGO's story, it's laid back yet serious at the exact same time. Case in point: Kozu being fired out of a cannon in the middle of one of the show's darkest episodes. A roller skating derby isn't out of the question at all, it's just kind of odd even for NINJAGO. But seriously though, I'm sure they'll do a great job (although I'm doubting the tournament is "to the death" now) EDIT: Perhaps Chen isn't even a villain at the start, but through the course of events the ninja in some way annoy him and he allies with Pythor? TheOneBrick Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Not sure if it's already mentioned, but it appears the Ninjas are all wearing different suits. Kai is wearing the original, Cole is wearing the DX one, Jay is wearing the ZX one and Lloyd is wearing his 'techno' suit. I wonder if it has any significance? Quote
Mandate Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Yeah, that was noticed. Probably has no significance, but I don't think anyone has any clue. It could just be preliminary footage, after all. Quote
coolcab1 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Maybe those suits aren't preliminary... https://community.lego.com/lego/attachments/lego/1544/312432/1/One.jpg Quote
Thelegomaster Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Maybe those suits aren't preliminary... https://community.lego.com/lego/attachments/lego/1544/312432/1/One.jpg Ooh, maybe they get the suits in later stages of the tournament. Quote
lightningtiger Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Interesting.......Only one can remain ? Great another retake on anything Bruce Lee I guess........who knows maybe the ninja have to fight each other ? Quote
Mandate Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Ooh, maybe they get the suits in later stages of the tournament. Probably. It would make sense, that they get outfits for the tournament given to them by Chen. Maybe after each ninja has "won" their respective Jade Blade? It explains the lack of a tournament Skylor or Hanlan. Probably wrong, though. Personally, I want an explanation for the new island than anything else. (probably a very simple one, like how no one found the Dark Island beforehand.) Also, look to the left. Chen's staff (or what I think is the Staff of Elements, but it's a baseless guess) is glowing. Probably has something to do with the cultists turning into snakes. I'm wondering if they've also just dropped the whole "Balance" thing now. Probably have. Quote
