DuckBricks Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Episodes 40 is done. Finishing up 41 while 40 uploads. May be a while still, though... Edited February 6, 2015 by legozebra Quote
DuckBricks Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Episode 40 just finished uploading at the link below! Episode 41 going up now! Quote
Mesonak Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Thanks for uploading! I have to say, though, the audio desyncs from the video pretty severely at around the 6:45 mark. It continues on and off throughout the reset of the video. Not sure if that's a problem that can be fixed or not. Edited February 4, 2015 by Mesonak Quote

It continues on and off throughout the reset of the video. Not sure if that's a problem that can be fixed or not. Just watched it now, that's what I get from being careless in Adobe Premiere Pro and moving my mouse around (aka I accidentally messed up the audio files) I'll try to fix it, and it should be simple, but it is last priority until I get all the other episodes out. Happy to help! EDIT: wow, it's actually really bad. I'll fix it now. Thanks for letting me know! Edited February 4, 2015 by legozebra Quote
Mesonak Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 No problem, we appreciate the work you're doing in order to get the episodes viewable to the masses, even if it takes a while. :D Quote
DuckBricks Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 No problem, we appreciate the work you're doing in order to get the episodes viewable to the masses, even if it takes a while. :D Thanks, Meso! I'm a huge fan of TTV, so thanks for the work you do on that as well! Anyway, I will say it now. Cartoon Network's site is absolutely awful. Sometimes, I get "page not found" errors that can only be cured by refreshing constantly. Also, the videos they have on their site work about half the time... I just spent an hour trying to make episode 40 play so I could re-record that segment, and it still isn't working... It's not a wifi problem, as I switched between the 4 different wifi networks I have at home, to a portable mifi, to my phone's hotspot, and even to a friend's home wifi and an Internet cafe. The darn video still doesn't play, which first alarmed me that they may be taking them down, because they worked fine before, but I downloaded their app on my phone and the videos work fine. Restarting the computer, quitting the browser(s) completely- I used Chrome, Safari, and Firefox- and different networks do not work for my computer. Ok, end of mini-rant ;) I will try to get it working as soon as I can but right now I will focus on what I have downloaded to my computer, specifically episodes 41 and 42. Thanks for being patient, guys! Quote
DraikNova Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Okay, kind of off-topic, but does anyone have any idea happened to the Ultra Dragon? Was it/were they destroyed when the last remains of the Golden Weapons were? Sure, the properties of the elemental dragons and the weapons might have a tendency to resonate, as seen when the dragons fused shortly before the weapons were turned into the Megaweapon, but unless the dragons were also sent into space and into the past, it wouldn't really be consistent. It is also mentioned in the Surge, and featured on the cover art of Shadow of Ronin. It's not dead (yet), but it's probably never going to be seen as we last saw it. 2) The Golden Weapons have nothing to do with the dragons, at all. They guarded the Golden Weapons before becoming pets, and the Elemental Dragons (Lloyd's Golden/Green Dragon) are completely separate from any form of elemental weapon because of retcons. 3) This isn't off-topic. Also, 1200th post. Edited February 5, 2015 by Mandate Quote

I wonder if they'll have an explanation as to why the ninja kinda stopped using it, but granting that summer 2015 is basically "dragon wave" I saw that you posted, legozebra, and I was like "WEEE more Ninjago episodes... but then I realised it was just a general comment... Well... better get on that shouldn't we? Regarding the elemental dragons... why? They really didn't need to do that. It's like the writers are squandering the wonderful thing that was the Ultra Dragon. Also, did any Bionicle/MLPFiM fans notice that Shadow is voiced by Andrew Francis? Quote

Cartoon Network is not being a good little website, but it seems to be working now (see previous mini-rant) I have been quite busy, but I should have them all by the weekend. Of course, by then, we will have Curtis Cheung's episode 40 (Or is it Crazy Warriors of the Light now... I think he changed channels for some reason.) so I will stop work on syncing audio for episode 40, as I have been working on it and it still isn't perfect. Moving on to episode 42! (41 all done, I accidentally stopped the upload to Youtube by turning off my computer but it should be going up now...) Also Andrew Francis as Shadow is awesome! He also, according to Wikipedia, plays older Lloyd. I thought Lloyd was played by a girl? That is actually really cool, although he sounds more like Kopaka than Jaller! Kopaka, on the other hand, is the same actor as Pythor. Makuta has the same actor as Cyrus Borg, and Tahu is the Overlord. Also, Gali is Misako, Pohatu voices the Skeleton Army, Whenua/Nidhiki voices Sensei Wu, Onewa/Matau voices Kruncha/Acidicus, and the list goes on. My mind is just exploding now... PenPlays Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) For the super curious, most if not all actors from Ninjago had worked with each other previously, whether it was for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Death Note, Bionicle, or the Transformers Unicron Trilogy anime (Armada, Energon, Cybertron). I really hope that they find more room for Scott McNeil (yes, I know he's Clouse and Karloff, but there are so many other voices he could do!) and Lee Tockar. The Dobson brothers and Ian James Corlett get too much to work with (especially with the latter's limitation of one voice). Edited February 6, 2015 by Penkid11 Quote
Mandate Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Regarding the elemental dragons... why? They really didn't need to do that. It's like the writers are squandering the wonderful thing that was the Ultra Dragon. Well, if you don't mind some (relatively minor) spoilers, I can summarize for you why I absolutely hated the build-up and usage of "Elemental Dragons" It makes every dragon (except the Mechdragon) we've seen up until this point completely useless factoring in the retcons regarding the elemental powers. That makes Ultra Dragon even more useless than they made it with the Golden Dragon (which actually WAS used as a replacement). This is where things get a little spoilery, and heavily opinionated. So I'll just get it over and done with: The build-up was awful and awkward, on the account of both Lloyd and Zane. It made more problems than it solved, and rather than making for an awesome ending with Elemental Dragons defeating the Anacondrai they brought in Garmadon's past (again) and had a needlessly bland, plothole-ish, and over-the-top ending. I'll start with Lloyd's dragon. Most fans had thought Lloyd lost the ability ever since he lost his Golden powers, so the sudden inclusion of a de-powered version sounded amazing to me. I saw the Korean episodes, and I thought the build-up was going to be this awesome sequence where Lloyd sacrifices himself to save Garmadon and as a last-ditch attempt discovers he's still capable of summoning the Dragon, which would have explained lost plot elements such as NRG, as well as being incredibly dramatic and a very satisfying form of character development for Lloyd. Instead, it was the horrifyingly plot-hole filled "Hey! We definitely never could have used this earlier!" explanation and far less satisfying on a whole. THEN, comes the Titanium Dragon. Good grief the build-up was amazing! But then... Zane actually fell into a cave... and the Dragon was just in his mind... and it was a needlessly pointless excuse to make Zane more relatable to people (like me) who often doubt themselves. Was this even necessary? It's an arbitrary and stupid way of bringing about a plot element that in two episodes is killed off by lazy writing and fear. Instead of an awesome dragons VS Anacondrai sequence, we got Lloyd reading a spellbook to banish his father to the Cursed Realm rather than banishing the ACTUAL Anacondrai, to unleash the Generals who in turn... banish the Anacondrai (wth Hageman brothers?). They entered the plot needlessly (except for Lloyd), acted meaninglessly when they were around, and exited with a fart rather than a bang. TL;DR, the Dragons were needless and stupid in Season 4. I completely agree. They could have removed the sequence of them sinking the boat and they all could have taken the boat back as well. I really was expecting something more dramatic for the reveal of the Titanium Dragon. Now, all I'm left with is that it was an excuse to make it a set. Quote
TheBrickPal Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Yup, all of the episodes are On Demand! Watched them all over the past two days, and I was blown away. Quote

The Dobson brothers and Ian James Corlett get too much to work with (especially with the latter's limitation of one voice). Pretty sure Morro is McNeil... certainly sounded like him, and it'd be a shame if if they didn't pick him for a role so similar to the Overlord (it will be so awesome if Morro IS the Overlord, but he probably isn't) Anyway, the more I see that scene where Clouse is kneeling beside his dead snake the more I resent the choices they made with this season. That would have been the perfect scene for Clouse to betray Chen.
