Corellia. My home planet. Hadn't been home for a couple of years, and now I was headed there on a mission. Sgt. Logan had put his crew together in a hurry, and told me we would be briefed on the way. My train of thought was interrupted as the video monitor came alive with a familiar face, it was General Rieekan himself!

"Good day soldiers, the clock is ticking so I will keep this short and to the point." he said. "As many of you know, we had a base on Corellia for a short period before moving on to Hoth. We left behind a number of weapon and equipment caches since it was deemed to risky to move everything at once. I had hoped to retrieve this equipment by the aid of Han Solo, but unfortunately things did not work out as planned. Due to our recent setbacks, we need that equipment more than ever. One week ago we sent a team with some of our top operatives to facilitate the transport."

"Three days ago we lost contact with this team. At first we thought it was just an equipment malfunction, but it's become clear that something has happened. Your mission is to scout their last known location and gather intelligence to find out what happened to them. Meanwhile we will assemble a new transport team, but it is imperative that you provide us with on-site intel so our next team does not walk into a trap. We can not afford to lose more men or equipment."

"Sgt. Logan, I have sent you the mission details, make sure you study it well.", Rieekan said. We all looked at the holoprojector as Rieekan continued: "From this point on all your communications will be according to secure protocol. Good luck men." With those final words, the video transmission ended. We looked at each other over the table, saying nothing. Everyone knew this was going to be a difficult mission.

Unedited image, with Technic leds

C&C welcome!

Please judge this.

Yeah, I know about the blooper...

Edit: Updated the story

Edit2: Doh! Used the wrong unedited image - my apologies - now using correct image with Technic leds

But why aren't they looking at the monitor?

I was wondering this too ... A very fine build and a lot of nice wall details for such a small room. A worthy enemy indeed! Also very good job with the image editing - but why is your guy in pajamas in the first image?

I just knew you would spot the blooper...

I photographed this in two rounds, and for the first round I just used a temp fig with my characters head. The lighting was a nightmare so after I realised my mistake I just let it go. Rest assured the costume department has been reprimanded and will not be doing that mistake again... (with heavy breathing) "You have failed me for the last time, assistant Peggy!"

About not looking at the monitor, oh snap!

I had them looking at the monitor, but the scene was just more interesting when you could see their faces. I meant to do a quick story rewrite to have them look at something on the holoboard-thingie, but didn't get around to it... stay tuned for a quick story rewrite...

Oh crap, I accidentally used the wrong unedited image (that image also used Lifelites and not Technic lights, which is not allowed). I have updated to the correct version using only Technic lights now.

Judges, please use the current photos for judging.

good build and editing! how did you do the blue screen technology?

Pyjamas? Didn't you just recieve a medal for your heroic work on Bespin?

The hologram lighting effect is impressive in both shots. I really like your combination of textures and smooth, clean, white in a style no unlike that of the Tantive IV. I think I only have one minor complaint, that it feels a bit cramped. But you did a great job getting all the details into a smaller room; maybe that was the atmosphere you were going for. :classic:

Nicely done! I like how you've packed in all the details and I love the way the round table turned out! The monitor was also a great idea that you've executed well.

Wow, great build. I think the hologram works if you think of the background as what they are seeing in the little bulb thing. Maybe that's too abstract... But I thought it worked

Thanks again for the comments all!

I wanted to do a series of 16x16 vignettes for my next round of freebuilds so I that's just how it ended up! Now that you pointed it out however, I think it would have looked a lot better even with a couple of studs more on each side.
