Bah, I had almost convinced myself to save cash and only buy small sets this year and then that Brickset review has put this firmly back on my shopping list. Happy holidays to me :blush:

I just got the December 2013 in store Lego calendar and no mention of early relase for VIP members. :(

Dissapeared from Lego.com Shop at Home... Looked for it on swiss shop at home, it appears in the hints of the search engine (eventhough I never searched for it in french, only by number 10243, "Le restaurannt Parisien" appears), but then does not find it anymore...It says, Ooops, can't find the product you're looking for...

I am almost 100% sure that it was on the lego website before, can anyone confirm????

Will ask customer service...

Gee, if it is not available on Dec. 16th what will I get (buy myself...) for X-Mas... :cry_sad::sick::angry: this is the only thing on my wishlist...

What could be the reason for a product retirement on the website? Trouble in production??

Edit: Just tried on google with 10243 lego shop and found the adress: http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Parisian-Restaurant-10243

then changed the "en-US/Parisian-Restaurant-10243" with "fr-CH/Le-restaurant-parisien-10243" to get http://shop.lego.com/fr-CH/Le-restaurant-parisien-10243 and it works...

But there is no way to find it through the lego shop search engine, nor through the *exclusives* or "what's new" shortcuts...

Any idea of what is happening?

Thanks Redhead 1982, it works on US and swiss websites as well, but it's taged "new" so it should appear in the what's new section (like products that were not available at the time, before) and should appear in the search?

Maybe Lego did not want to kill the page and reference it in a harder to find link/category but still, if it's not available on the search I think there is an issue... Don't you think?

I'm pretty sure that's the case. I can't find it on search (using set number or name), but it's there in the Creator section. I'm sure that's on purpose.

Ooohhh Yeeaah, got multiple copies of most of the modulars, but this one is the first that makes me want to order more than one at first shopping opportunity... :wub:

Asked customer service yesterday why it wasn't to be found through the search, I'll post the response. Not receiving an answer today already makes me fear though... :cry_sad:

The problem with the VIP points will be solved afterwards... i will just claim my 5 euros... Here it will last several months before such a new set will be available with 20 % off or so.. I did not want to wait that long..so i just ordered two of them..

I also ordered 2 but will quit one order. I only want to be sure that I will get one very soon. My first Modular ;O)

Do you think they will be "sold out" soon - meaning the first batch will be sold out soon (i am from Germany ;).

Why on earth have I been unable to acquire this set by Christmas?

It's sheer sadism, that's what it is...

I wanted to use some VIP points to get this, but the bugs appear to prevent me from doing so. So ironically because I am a VIP I will need to wait longer until they have sorted it out!!!

I have some bad news regarding the pre-order of the Parisian Restaurant! :look:

I pre-ordered the set yesterday, and then phoned up their customer service number today as I hadn't received a confirmation email, and it wasn't in my order history. The woman on the phone apologised and said that they'd listed it for pre-order by mistake, and that I'll have to re-order the set January 1st but I hadn't been charged for it. :angry: I asked if they were ever planning on contacting us to let us know this, and she said she didn't know.

Has anyone else received a confirmation email?

ETA: After another a phone call, it turns out the money taken from our accounts will be refunded at the weekend, and we will have to order it properly January 1st :sceptic:

I did not get confirmation as well, and also no order in my status.. When i look now, te site says coming soon on 1 january... Normally i would think they will be delivered on january second.. but now it seems i have to order them again.... strange.....so order my 2 sets again on 1 january... and this time i will order them separate.. so it will be two packages....just to show my small irritation. Normally i would order 2 sets in one order...but after this strange situation, and no excuse in my mail... hm...

I had exactly the same telephone conversation (had also received no mail). The availability was a misstake!

No order went through!

Directly after I have talked to the friendly lego guy the restaurant went out of preorder ... ;O)

So we have to order again ;O)

PS: As lego has a perfect service, I apologise this! Bad for all the people not recognising something is wrong.

PSS: I have been told that no money have been taken from my account... strange. I ordered one via credit card and the other via invoice.
