There seems to be some sort of major DDOS attack going on on parts of the internet tonight. It brought down the World of Warcraft servers for a few minutes. That may be part of what you are experiencing.

Now I wonder has the designer left any clues to the next modular building ?

Ordered mine from the GB site no problem - wonder how long it will be before they sell all of the first run!

Ordered mine as well.

I wanted to use my VIP points to cover the express delivery costs. It seemed to work at first but the order crashed so I had to redo it without express delivery and without using VIP points.

The site was quite unstable and slow but at least, even if I did not receive a confirmation email, it shows in the order status link on s@h...

Something very strange has happened!

I received a refund for the cancelled pre-order of the set, and then ordered it this morning. I just checked my orders and two orders for the set have appeared, although I've only been charged for one. I think the pre-order may have gone through regardless?! Has this happened to anyone else who pre-ordered?

I haven't been able to access the S@H site at all since monday. Or any Lego site, for that matter. Anybody else having problems?

So no PR for me for the time being. :(

Luckily, I ordered Palace Cinema on Sunday, and it got here yesterday already. Perfect end-of-the-year gift to myself and now I have something to do until I have to go back to work next week :D

The PR became available last night in the US as it turned Jan 1 on the East Coast. The site was a little slow to order, but it worked fine. Today, I tried to go online to write down my pick-a-brick order that went along with it, but the S@H site is completely unavailable at the moment. Sure glad I did not wait until this morning.

Well, the wife roped me into going to the mall for the Ralph Lauren sale at Dillard's and the Macys New Year's Day sale.

So, as a result, the PR is sitting on my kitchen table. Don't ask, don't ask......I obviously have no standards or values.

Also ordered a PR, Mars rover, Eiffel Tower and Maersk ship on Lego.com. Don't ask, don't ask....I have no standards or values and often forget what I've said previously.

Edit....just opened PR. the olive green colored bricks are just phenomenal. Very impressive. Still not crazy about the bright 'walmart white' components.

Talking about values...

After the frustration of not getting an early release on the 16th, I went like, OK Lego, I am stronger than you, I can wait... But Lego won, I bought Emerald night, an extra wagon and all needed Power Functions as well as Architecture UN HQ and the 8404 transportation set (from swiss kind of ebay).

Then I thought I could finally order one in pre-order mode, but noooo, it was a mistake on the site... grrrr, Lego I am stronger, I will not hurry.... But Lego won again and I ordered a couple of PR right after midnight... Me 0, Lego 2... Well done TLG, if PR had been available on early release on the 16th, I would not have bought all the rest... and still bought 2 PRs...

Any idea if they ship on January 1st? Since the Lego depot is in my country orders are usually delivered the next day... #fingerscrossed

Well the Aus site is back and I've put in my order for the PR I am currently waiting for the confirmation email which Due to high holiday order volumes, your confirmation email may take up to 3 hours to arrive.

Story here is that the Lego brick and mortar stores have this in stock already!

For those who chose standard delivery, did you receive a confirmation email yet? With tracking number for the shipping via DHL or else?

I ordered it on the 1st of jan, slightly passt midnight, I can see the item on the shop at home website order status link (Yxxxxxxxxx number) but did not receive a conffirmation email and cannot track the shipping via DHL, am I the only one?

Or does it also happen to some of you?

Hey, this doesn't answer your question but ordering the PR has also been a different experience for me. I made two orders through the US. Lego.com website on the morning on January 1st. The first was for the Eiffel Tower and the Mars Rover. That is scheduled for delivery tomorrow. The other order was for the PR and the Maersk Ship. That order is still 'in process' after sitting in 'customer service' for two days.

I did buy an additional copy of the PR at the Lego store on January 1, so I've got that one almost completed. I wasn't planning on starting the build for another ten days or so. But it's so cold here in the southern USA that I'm in staying inside and playing.

I know, I know...nobody wants to hear that its cold when it's 32 degrees Fahrenheit outside and only goes down to 17 F at night. But next week, the low is 9 F. So, I hope all of the Lego gets here soon! Those temperatures are cold in Atlanta, GA USA!

^My guess is that they didn't work New Years Day, so they'll probably process it today or monday and get it out to you next week.

In progress as well since I first checked on the first of jan a couple minutes after the order...

Got mine today at the lego store in Levallois-Perret near Paris, travelled back in the metro through Paris to get it home, so for a little moment mine was really a Parisian Restaurant in Paris ^^. Just finished building what has become my first modular building so can't really compare with the others, but I have to say it was a great fun build, and the finished product looks great, so if anyone is hesitating, I do recommend it. Also if anyone is interested the store never took out more than two PR at a time. When I took mine off the shelf, it was the last one there, but within a few minutes they had put two back in it's place, but I heard the employes talking and they were saying stocks were tight (especially since a few employees are apparently trying to save a few of the early ones for family). Just very happy to finally own a modular and wanted to share my excitement with fellow lego enthusiasts :) Cheers and happy 2014 to all!

I just finished mine this morning. I picked up a box in the Lego store in Oberhausen yesterday, and started building when we got home. Nice techniques, I really liked the build. It's only my second modular, but more will follow. Looks really good next to the pet shop.

I also have had my order in "customer service" since Dec 31 11:00pm EST, and today it finally changed to "In process". A little bit more information on that: from another thread, apparently Lego checks large orders (volume and/or price) to try and weed out people involved in drop ship scams. In three large orders placed since October, they have all been in the penalty box known as "Customer Service" for a few days before shipping out. This is of course, using the standard shipping option. If you used express shipping, likely your order would have some sort of priority in the review line before it is actually picked and shipped.

Thus, all of us who ordered the PR when it first became available should very soon be receiving notice that it shipped.

Doesn't seem like a $331 order for 2 items should merit any special scrutiny. Especially given my order history. Just sayin'......
