Jim, Blakbird and other staff are the only one who can decide if this will fit into the rules.

I was curious what other members thought, so it was a valid question.

It is pretty hollow inside, that's true.

Hello a question about the rules and weather my entry will be valid:

1: a tracked tractor, it's built and motorised but the battery box cannot fit in it ( i'll upload a picture for a second opinion on the part count)

2: a 3-wheel tractor, started and will be motorised, battery box may fit in it

3: a trailer, contains battery box to power the tractors and(If valid) a front loader-claw for 3-wheeler (would this count as a 4th or part of the 3rd)

after a car issue my AAA box is no more( it met the wheel ) and the AA won't fit in the tracked tractor unless i put it on top of the hood, but its not looking pleasant

Would I be able to have the tractors powered by a box in the trailer, it would mean that only one can operate at a time.

I have a similar question from another member. He is building a modular set of vehicles where the power (motors, battery box and receiver) are interchangeable between the vehicles. He asks whether it's allowed to build three vehicles and one power module.

Ultimately I am the one making the decisions, but I would like to know what other members think.

@That_Lego_Guy: You also switching your battery unit, right?

As far as I am concerned both questions will be answered with "Yes, that's allowed", but I would like to hear if anyone's got objections, since it's a borderline case.

I would say allow it, but only because I only one AA box and two receivers. That was my concern too with the TRIPLE. But I chose one thing to power, because I thought there might be enough trailer themes entering.

Hmm, I use very similar-to-eachother windup modules for my models, but apart from that, they are completely different. I also though that using a similar (my first conception was using exactly the same units) module but building 3 totally different models form that adds to the coolness.

When will the voting start? If we are not lucky, brickshelf.com can keep folders not public for days. Obviously one can deeplink pictures, but sometimes 10 images and low-quality videos are not enough to show all the beautiful details and settings (which is a key feature of this contest), and this can make a big difference in the end.

Voting will start early next week. Possibly already on Sunday.

If you are unsure about Brickshelf, just use Flickr or Bricksafe.

Hello! First of all thank you for organizing this great competition!

I like the theme very much, because it is very different from all the other building contests i've seen so far. So it was a challenge I could not skip!

I wanted to make sure that my entry in the competition meets the rules of the contest.

The rules state that each model needs to have a different function. ( For example no 3 GBCs)

My entry will consist of 3 seperate robots. Each has a different function, but they all work in tandem.

The first one collects and carries zamor spheres over a short distance;

The second picks up and drops the balls onto a conveyor belt;

The third looks like a conveyor belt and can sort the balls by color.

I think that since each robot performs a different action ( and not the same) they have a different function.

Please tell me if you think my entry is suitable for this contest :) Thank you in advance!

Damn, I procrastinated again. I should have started my idea earlier. Then, schoolwork hit me. I was going to make power tools. I started them yesterday, and I only have half a working drill powered by an XL motor.

Im verry sorry to say that i will not enter the competition. One of the three robots's program was lost. Too bad :/

Heres a video and a photo of the two that i did manage to finish :)

There are some awesome entries this year!

I'm not going to have an entry for the competition. With me being out of the country until a few weeks ago and family here for Thanksgiving holiday, I just ran out of time.

Of the three items, here's the only one I completed

That's too bad le60head!

Nice ride Daniel. A shame you weren't able to finish the two other models.

I too won't be able to enter, even though my entry is finished, I simply don't have the available time to make a proper presentation...:-/

Oh well, until next competition;-)

I am about to close the entry topic....

If you missed it, please send me a PM and I will see what I can do.

More information about voting will follow tomorrow!

Somehow I think there are many more threads/builds with [TRIPLE] than there are entries in the official/pinned thread. May very well be that some contestants did not 'realize' that their own thread is not sufficient, and they MUST create an entry in the official/pinned thread .... Correct?
