Jim Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 No, I'm affraid not. 500 parts is the max. Maybe you could scale it down a little bit. By the way; not sure whether this is newly built, but it needs to be a new model, so never shown before somewhere. Quote

But this car do not finish at the moment, so you can not see it. Quote
Lipko Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) I hope that you will be strict about the part limit and the timeline. Size seems to be a huge advantage in these contests, and concessions of more than a few parts would be unfair. It is some extra time, but it's not impossible to count the pieces of your own model. LDD with al its flaws is a very easy to grasp and use program, and it's free. So please contestants, take the time as many of us probably did, and count those parts and don't try to make us guess from a few photos. If you can't verify the part count by other means, take that few hours time and make the LDD models. My first model with 350 parts took 2 hours to model with all the colors, gears and funky angles perfectly modelled (obviously except for the things that LDD lacks). Thirdwigg Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 So, who is going to be the first to post their creation to the thread? The deadline is coming soon. Quote
weavil Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 (edited) I was wondering that too. I was guessing everyone was going to post at 12:30pm GMT Dec 1st!!! LOL! Edited. Edited November 18, 2013 by weavil Quote

Jim Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 The rules in both topics are different You are right. I will look into this. I have made a link to the rules, instead of posting a copy of the rules, so this won't happen again. Sorry about the confusion. My bad. Quote
Jim Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 I have also removed the WIP topics from the first post. Now it's time to see the entries in the Entry Topic Quote
VKTechnic Posted November 20, 2013 Posted November 20, 2013 "No cutting parts" does that include pneumatic/rigid tubing? Quote

dhc6twinotter Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 I'm working on something, but I don't know that it'll be done in time. I'd like to at least have pictures up by the 26th, before the rest of the family comes in for Thanksgiving holiday. I'll probably be editing my video while they are here. Quote
Jim Posted November 21, 2013 Author Posted November 21, 2013 To be clear about the entry post; This entry post may include up to 10 pictures of 800x600 or smaller resolution and a maximum of 3 videos. Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted November 21, 2013 Posted November 21, 2013 10 pictures plus 3 videos for a total of 13? Or does each video count as a picture, for a total of 10 allowed? Quote

Very nice entry! Are you sure about the part limit? It seems to have a lot of parts. I would estimate around 700 I'm curious what other EB members think. Can you weigh your model? I think it has around 500 parts. It is bulky, but pretty hollow inside. My model is similar in size and it has 500 parts. Nice entry, btw :) Quote
