CMP Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Just to be clear....does the Aura stay there now until I get knocked out/switch weapons, or do I still have a 50/50 chance of not having it next turn? I would think the latter, but I'm in trouble if I'm wrong. Also, Quarry specified he'd be using the Crystal Mace, which should've caused 158 damage, and you forgot to take away the Scorpion's health on the spell. And unfortunately, I should be poisoned by the Scorpiodemon's free hit. Atramor kicked the horde of scorpions (and their demonic leader) off him as quick as he could, but they'd still managed to covered his leg in stings. "Damn it. Namyrra, could ya' have your undead eat the one I just bashed? Should be enough to take the little bastard out." The regulator retreated into the back row and consumed a Health Core.
Quarryman Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 "Sure I can Atramor." Nomad A, Nomad B, Sabredancer A, Pyromancer and Saladdin all attack Crimson Scorpion A Sabredancer B attacks Crimson Scorpion E Namyrra sends a wind spell at Crimson Scorpion C from the back row. "Catnip, try again please." "Byblos, I guess you won't be able to do anything this round, so just stay in the back row."
Sandy Posted November 30, 2013 Author Posted November 30, 2013 QM Note: Sorry, poorly run round! I'll fix everything now, thank you for being so observant. And CMP, the Pheles Rod has 50/50 chance of inflicting Aura each round, so it will flip-flop throughout the battle.
Pandora Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 OoC: My mistake regarding the Nostrum, sorry. I thought I'd implied it, but it really wasn't clear. "Atramor, thank you" Nyx speaks with sincerity "having just taken my only shielding clothes off, I was worried about being so high in the battle order" Nyx shoots a hard look at Namyrra. "Would you like me to heal you Atters? You might get a headache, but you know it works. Sometimes. Either that or I can just attack one of these little bastards in retribution?" Nyx prepares a trusty Fire spell at Crimson Scorpion B from the back row, unless attacking Atramor with her healing staff is requested.
CMP Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 "I can handle it for now. Your healin' wouldn't be enough to keep me on my feet once these things start swarmin' me again anyway."
Quarryman Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 "Nyx, sorry about that, I forgot you were dropping most of your shielding." Battle order: Atramor Namyrra Docken Catnip Nyx Byblos Undead horde

Round Two of the Scorpion Battle: >Atramor uses Health Core on himself - (Atramor: Aura, full health restored) >Namyrra (Wind) vs. Crimson Scorpion C - Damage/Meditate (Namyrra: +1 ether) >Docken vs. Crimson Scorpion C - Deflected Damage (Docken: attack deflected) >Catnip vs. Scorpiodemon B - Hit (Scorpiodemon B: 853 health-(60x6=360 dmg)=493 health) >Nyx (Fire) vs. Crimson Scorpion B - Damage (Nyx Atramor: 120 health+21 SP-(27/2=14 dmg)=120 health) >Byblos is slowed Nomad A hits Crimson Scorpion A - (Scorpion A: 162 health-27 dmg=135 health; Namyrra: -1 ether) Nomad B hits Crimson Scorpion A - (Scorpion A: 135 health-27 dmg=108 health; Namyrra: -1 ether) Sabredancer A hits Crimson Scorpion A - (Scorpion A: 108 health-28 dmg=80 health; Namyrra: -1 ether) Saladdin hits Crimson Scorpion A - (Scorpion A: 80 health-50 dmg=30 health; Namyrra: -1 ether) Pyromancer hits Crimson Scorpion A - (Scorpion A: 30 health-40 dmg=0 health; Namyrra: -1 ether) Sabredancer B hits Crimson Scorpion E - (Scorpion E: 392 health-28 dmg=364 health; Namyrra: -1 ether) Crimson Scorpion D + E + F + Scorpiodemon A - Free Hit vs. Atramor (Atramor: 120 health+21 SP-(27+27+27+49=130/2=65 dmg)=76 health) Atramor - Poisoned (-1 dmg) Atramor's aura is renewed as he consumes a health core to replenish his health. Namyrra meditates. Docken deflects a scorpion's attack. Catnip scores a solid hit on one of the demons. Atramor steps into Nyx's way to protect her from harm. Byblos feels too weary to do anything. Brickdoctor Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I attack Crimson Scorpion D from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.
Pandora Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Nyx is surprised yet again as Atramor steps in front of her to shield her from the scorpion. She looks at him more carefully than she had in the last few days. He really had changed. He had already been changing over the time she knew him, but this is something deeper and more fundamental. He still makes the jokes and the wisecracks, and she still finds them funny, but there is a seriousness to him now. Was it Triad? No, that was a long time ago now. Is it this new role as a Regulator? Maybe. Whatever it is, she finds, to her surprise, she respects him a little bit more. She merely expresses this to him as a nod of thanks, though. "Dammit, I should have drunk that Nostrum. Oh well, let's try this again." Nyx prepares a fireball for Crimson Scorpion C through her Standard from the back row.
Quarryman Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 "Right, that's one down at least. And now I guess Byblos has rested enough to be able to act again." "Byblos, seal Scorpiodemon A from the back row please. And Catnip, I think you should just repeat, that was a great shot, would love for you to do it again." "I shall send a Light spell at Scorpiodemon A from the back row." "Guys, I think we'll only end up with two of the scorpions not being targeted this round, so the free hits we take should be easy to fend off." Battle order: Docken Atramor Nyx Catnip Byblos Namyrra
CMP Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Atramor grumbled as he once again forced the pile of vermin back with his shield, ramming the Pheles Rod down into Crimson Scorpion B from the back row.

CMP Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Atramor repeated his attack. "'Least we're gettin' somewhere..."
Brickdoctor Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 I attack Scorpiodemon B from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.
Quarryman Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 "Yes, somewhere, but not as fast as I'd prefer. Too bad my undead aren't very effective against these creatures.." Byblos does nothing in the back row Namyrra summons Mediq to heal Catnip "Catnip, since I'm healing you I think you can safely attack Scorpiodemon A from the back row." Pyromancer attacks Scorpion E Saladdin attacks Scorpion F Battle order: Atramor Docken Namyrra Catnip Nyx Byblos
Quarryman Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 "Nyx, I think it would be better if you used ice or wind against these scorpions."
Pandora Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 "Nyx, I think it would be better if you used ice or wind against these scorpions." "Dammit again. Absolutely Namyrra, I have no idea why I did that, thanks." Nyx repeats her attack, but this time using her Opal, not her Ruby. OoC: For some reason my (bad) memory was telling me Fire worked against Vermin. Thank you for pointing it out.
Sandy Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 QM Note: I just noticed that you forgot to use your "Wild Mind" job trait on the first round of the battle, CMP. CMP Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 QM Note: I just noticed that you forgot to use your "Wild Mind" job trait on the first round of the battle, CMP. Try to remember it next time you start a battle with chaotic style. I know, I managed to remember in the second round. Atramor's attacks became immediately more reserved and defensive. He glanced at the demons - they'd be more vulnerable to his attacks now, for sure, but these damn bugs also were, even moreso. Plus, they were sure as hell asking for it. He switched targets, instead aiming for Crimson Scorpion D from the back row.
Pandora Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Nyx repeats her attack as before, aiming at the Crimson Scorpion with the lowest health.
CMP Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 "Namyrra, maybe ya' should have your undead tear up the weakest scorpion before Nyx has a go at it. The less of these bastards there are, the better."
Quarryman Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 "Yes, I think they'll be able to do so now." Saladdin, Pyromancer, Nomad A and Scorpion A all attack Scorpion B "Byblos, it would be great if you could seal Scorpiodemon B again, and stay in the back row." "Catnip, repeat please." "And I shall try again for a Light spell at Scorpiodemon B from the back row." Battle order: Undead horde Docken Atramor Nyx Byblos Catnip Namyrra
Brickdoctor Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 "Miss Uq, let me take Scorpiodemon B. As I am already Poisoned and Immune to Sudden Death, its Special can't do anything to me. That way Byblos can Blind one of the enemies, make one of the Scorpiodemons Fragile, or try to Doom someone." I attack Scorpiodemon B from the Back Row with my Darksteel Crossbow.
Quarryman Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 "Master Docken, you do have a very good point there." "Byblos, change of plan, throw the Pandemonicon at Scorpiodemon A from the back row instead." "And I'll change to sending a wind spell at Crimson Scorpion E from the back row."
