Brickdoctor Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 "It's a great idea but that woman is immune to pretty much everything, including sleep and sealed. Mind you the great thing about Byblos is that he's 100% guaranteed to read a scroll successfully - a skill I'd love to pick up myself. I'm giving up on fire-pants for now anyway, so maybe Byblos should put him back to sleep so he stops bothering us." Nyx shrugs. "MegaBloks; I forgot about that."
Quarryman Posted November 11, 2013 Posted November 11, 2013 "Yeah, that woman will be a tough nut to crack, can't have an undead punch her to death either." "Anyway, we can worry about her later, first of all we need to get some healing done so we don't all get knocked out." Quarryman Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 "Now we're talking! Nyx, that was excellent! Do it again please!" "And guys, I think we might want to go easy on that pyromancer, wouldn't want him to encourage all the others, so we might as well wait with him until we're done with the rest, Byblos can put him to sleep when needed. We need to keep Saladin occupied though, else the free hits will become painful. Nyx, I think you should try to hit the last sabredancer as well." Nomad B, Nomad A and Sabredancer A all hit Saladdin. Namyrra casts a darkness spell at Sabredancer B from the back row, does nothing if he's already dead." "Catnip, it would be nice if you try to hit Sabredancer B from the back row again, but don't do anything if he's already dead." Byblos uses scroll of sleep on Pyromancer from the back row. Battle order: Docken Catnip Nyx Namyrra Byblos
Pandora Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 Nyx goes to strike herself, but a new feeling takes hold of her. She wants to hit everything, to fire spells at everyone, and only her experience allows her to control herself slightly. She manages not to harm, but help, her allies, and also restrict the darkness magics to her enemies. Panting slightly, she feels stronger than she's ever felt and some of her lost confidence glows within once more. "Now we're talking! Nyx, that was excellent! Do it again please!" "I'd love to Namyrra, but I'm not quite sure what it actually was I just did. Happy to try, though!" And with a grin and a wink at her old friend she grabs her Standard and focuses a Darkness spell at Sabredancer B from the back row. EDIT OoC: I was wondering what would happen with a Shield whilst using the Healing Staff, and now I know. Cool.
Sandy Posted November 12, 2013 Author Posted November 12, 2013 EDIT OoC: I was wondering what would happen with a Shield whilst using the Healing Staff, and now I know. Cool. QM Note: I just winged it, but I thought it was the most logical choice for the healing physical strike to be aimed at the party, and the damaging spell to the enemies. I just remembered that I forgot to randomize the element, though, instead going with Darkness automatically. I have to remember to do it next time...
Pandora Posted November 12, 2013 Posted November 12, 2013 QM Note: I just winged it, but I thought it was the most logical choice for the healing physical strike to be aimed at the party, and the damaging spell to the enemies. I just remembered that I forgot to randomize the element, though, instead going with Darkness automatically. I have to remember to do it next time... OoC: Is that only because I didn't select an element by using the Healing Staff? I assume so, 'cos I remember it was decided that Battlemage Shields would use the element selected. Anyway, awesome winging it!

CMP Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 Atramor took one last look around and grumbled. "Screw this. I ain't gettin' anywhere sittin' here." He uncorked his canteen, and poured one Phoenix Essence into it. "Phoenixes live in deserts, right? Hell, if it don't work, 'least it'll be easy enough to revive me..." The regulator gave the Pheles Rod a final, suspicious glance before picking it up and trying to retrace his footprints as far as he could before passing out. Worth a shot.

Would suck a lot if mister overheated over there gets fancy with his encouragement spell, but I hope we can avoid that. We'll be rid of the strongest enemy before that anyway, so Docken, I don't think you should do anything, or, you might want to put your medal back on actually." OoC: can we rest in the oasis? Quarryman Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 "Right, this is almost over now I think, would be great if I could raise Saladdin though.. everyone, stand back, we don't want miss annoying brat over there to trick us into running off into the desert like poor Atramor did." OoC: we're almost at autoroll time now I think, so see below for suggested actions to last until the end. but I'd like to see what happens in the next round first please. Brickdoctor, Pandora; it would be nice if you guys could just post that you'll do nothing for the rest of the battle, the undead can take down Ororo, the only thing that makes a difference is whether I roll a shield on the next round. (updated plan below)
Pandora Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Nyx looks at Namyrra, looks at her Amethyst and her Standard, and looks at Namyrra again. It wasn't that often these days that people asked not to attack, so she was a little confused. She shrugs, slightly deflated, and takes herself to the back of the party where she sits down and files her nails, watching the rest of the battle with interest. "We're gonna go and get Atramor after this, right?" she calls to Namyrra "Especially as chances are he's found some sort of bar and he's probably horribly drunk already. Lucky bastard."
Quarryman Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 "Yeah, we definitely will go find Atramor and his bar once this sillyness is over, stupid bandits not realizing what they got themselves into."
Sandy Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 QM Note: Don't forget to post the actions for the NPCs...
Brickdoctor Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 OoC: Quarry, don't forget to take a Round once Ororo's the only one left to equip your Medal. I do nothing.
Quarryman Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 QM Note: Don't forget to post the actions for the NPCs... OoC: Doh. "Catnip, I think you shouldn't do anything for the rest of the battle, and Byblos, that goes for you too." OoC: Quarry, don't forget to take a Round once Ororo's the only one left to equip your Medal. OoC: oh I will. New plan: OoC: I have a feeling that I might regret this, but the odds that it will go bad are something like 0.69%, so I want to give it a shot. If you guys think the risk is still too great feel free to say so and I'll play this safe instead. But I really think three more undeads in my arsenal and 75 more damage on critical hits is worth such a tiny risk. This round: Namyrra drinks a nostrum. Nomad B hits Pyromancer Next round after that: Namyrra switches canteen for medal of glory. Following rounds until Namyrra gets a shield or triggers Follow the mirage: Namyrra hits Ororo with empyreal staff from the back row. If Namyrra takes damage so she gets down to 19 health or below (that would be damage two times) she'll summon Mediq to heal herself. Following rounds after Namyrra has gotten a shield: Saladdin hits Ororo (this should take 19 rounds at most, depending on whether Namyrra triggers Ororo's healing special) Battle order: Docken Namyrra Nomad B Nomad A Sabredancer A Nyx Catnip Byblos
Brickdoctor Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 OoC: Just in case Namyrra gets teleported away, then, I think Pandy should try to refill her canteen in-battle.
