OzBen Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 So without wheels it will be around 50cm so this should do. the middleis gooing to be a big pile of durt. so cars will probably always fall to the side of the course. so this should also be good.and for bright light disturbance, i was thinking of putting a tent over the course. to keep direct light off the course.or do you think that this won't help? ps: stop drinking Heineken ,drink Vedett a much better beer. its belgian. so obvious its better then that dutch beer. Grtz Johnny I wouldn't worry about the tent, do some testing first otherwise it looks like you are all sorted!! Show is some pics!!! And yes Belgian beer is awesome :-) Quote

brickie Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 The technic cars were one of the great highlights of Brisbrick 2013. The course was surrounded by people for the whole 3 days. The comments from the crowd were full of superlatives. The great thing was that these wonderful builders had such great fun. The retailers who had technic sets were laughing their heads off. The downside is that my 7 year old grandson had such fun driving a crawler, he now wants one for Christmas. Has anybody got a spare A$250? Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) This is a great idea! I'd love to see something like this at some of the U.S. shows. We need a larger Technic presence here. You guys did an amazing job building the course. Very professional looking! [Edit: Spelling…..can't even spell a simple word] Edited November 16, 2013 by dhc6twinotter Quote
zux Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 One of the greates things I see here is the presence of cars (sets) made by TLG. You know, when kids or parents would ask (and as I read they did ask during this event) if these could be bought - it is an awesome thing! You can build a good looking MOC or the one with greatest functions, but if you cannot buy it - well, no one will go to BL to buy all of the parts and search for instructions (these should exist at first). I think Crawler did help a lot of people to get into Technic more as it is the most successful remote controlled model as you can interact with the model and have your own. And don't forget 9398 has lost of parts too, these alone could be used for lots of own MOCs + PF = As a result - we need more remote controlled Crawlers or Buggies as an official sets! Quote

Yes they are expensive, but as zux said above, a great resource for your MOCs. This is a great idea! I'd love to see something like this at some of the U.S. shows. Boxerlego Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Excellent work! That is a great crawler track you guys made. I like that it has lots of obstacles and gives you plenty of stuff to drive over. Thanks for sharing! Quote
