Sorry if this is the wrong thread. My brother's birthday is today and I got $20. I am trying to decide between the Homing Spider Droid and Corporate Alliance Tank Droid. Which one should I get?

It's $30. I was just wondering which was better.

Hi personally I would go for thecorporate alliance tank droid it comes with jango and a regular clone.

Spider droid as it has a spider droid a dwarf spider droid and 5 figs compared to the tank droids 3 figs and 1 tank I would say paying $10 more for 2 figs and an extra vehicle is worth it

I swear I didn't dream it but I've seen some new figs coming out soon (can't remember which theme) but I looked at them and saw that they would be perfect to replace Watto's hands as the colour is almost spot on, can anyone help with which figures I may have seen?

Were they on Eurobricks? That would make it easier.

I think I saw them on Bricklink or maybe Flickr I thought it was legends of chima but I've looked again and it's none of those

You're probably thinking of the S11 Yeti, although I think that his hands are azure, not sand blue like Watto's arms, but probably still better than his current dark gray hands. They would work very well for Aayla Secura though!

Yes Oky!! That is the one I knew I saw it, I hadn't thought of Aayla but now you say they would go quite well, I wonder where else they would work...

This may sound like a weird question, but what is up with the Defender pricing in the UK?

£99.99 here, $89.99 in the US? That has to be a mistake.

It's not a mistake. The US has a larger population, and more people buy LEGO. Britain has a smaller population, and LEGO raises their prices so they can make more money.

What about Max Rebo? Is he the right or right enough blue?

Max is dark azure I believe, so not exactly the right color, but perhaps closer to Watto's skin than medium azure.

By the way, S11 Scientist's hands are medium azure as well.

Actually, usually UK prices are the same number value as US prices. That by itself makes it more expensive in UK, because GBP are worth more than USD. I think he has brought up a valid point, this particular set is MORE more expensive. It's not unprecedented though.

Generally the £ value of a set is set the same as the $ value, until they creep towards $100, in which case the £ tends to be a little less. It is practically unheard of for a set to have a higher £ value than a $ value.

You can see this in something like Fury class interceptor where it costs $89.99 and £79.99.

I agree, I live in the UK and that's how it works.

Sorry. I've read that a lot, and I live the USA, so I have no idea how pricing works over there.

Does anyone know how much you have to spend in the UK to get the clone lieutenent, in September. I know in the US it's $50, but it changed in the UK constantly.

Jor el was $75 and £50

Hulk was $50 and £25

Iron man with drone was $50 and £25

So am I right in thinking its £25?

There's a lot of discussion about this promotion over in "Star Wars sets anyone?", so I'll move this over there. It's been asked, but it looks like no one is sure what the UK price will be.

Ah ok thanks, didn't realise it was being discussed elsewhere.

Does anyone have any idea when the wave that includes the current A-Wing will be discontinued roughly?

Winter 2015-ish.

Sorry for the double post.

I'm planning on getting the Tank Droid (as I didn't buy a lot on vacation). Should I go ahead and order it this month or wait next month and get the Spider Droid too so I can get the Lieutenant?

I would suggest waiting. They're both OK sets, although the Spider droid is better. Add in a clone LT and that just seals the deal.
