the codes in the instruction booklets to the "holocron vault" on the lego website????

are they totally random?

i got the same codes in the z-95 headhunter and in the clonetroopers vs Doridekas?

bad luck or are there codes in all the z-95 headhunters and is it the same code then?

Hi, I really don't want to ruin this set for anybody, but I'm trying to decide whether or not to mod it. Anyway, looking at pictures online of non-lego star destroyers it seems the surface that makes up the main arrow-shaped body is quite smooth, however when i compare it to the UCS lego model, I find that the surface of the actual lego set is uneven, covered with a few 2x16 and 2x12 plates and a couple of these: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30356. Is this detailing accurate? Thanks.

If you look at official images you will find that the ISD isn't actually all that smooth. However, if you look at the model I agree that it seems TLG had overdone it a bit. That's probalbly to make it a bit sturdier.

If you're not sure, just MOD it and see if it looks better or not, and if it does not reduce the sturdiness of the model. You might need some extra parts to fill in some gabs.

does Cody only come in the geonosian star fighter? missed out on the last one in my local store lately and he would be really nice to have since we are getting some of his troopers this wave:)

Yes, I mean, that is the best set to get him from, other than that he was in 2007's CW Republic Gunship.

You may actually expect a new, non-CW phase II version soon, that would be a logic move of TLG, assuming he is not in the coruscant police gunship.

Hopefully there will be one more Revenge of the Sith set in the summer. That way we can get Cody from the movies.

ok cool.. yeah the geonosian starfighter is a great deal mini fig wise if you ask me. sadly i am having some trouble finding it in stores around here.

Thanks. But, how would TLG have gone about designing the UCS ISD in 2002? Would they have been provided with a replica model of the ISD from Lucasfilm, or at least a digital model, or diagrams of some sort, or did they just base it off of what they saw on film/on the internet? And are the areas in which they placed the extra plates accurate, or do you think they just went with what looked most aesthetically appealing?

I am almost sure they where not provided with a studio model, and a digital model does not seem logic either, cause all shots with the ISD were done in reality, not with computers.

What I do know, is that one of the basic jobs of the SW designers is to look at the movies the whole day long. So they probalbly have all there reference from the movies self, add some extra wishes of LucasArts and maybe look a bit on the Web too.

Then they will probalbly look if it is sturdy enough, maybe add a plate or two. Then the designer (or designers, with big sets/UCS) do look if it looks fancy and aestethically appealing. With that, they might change some plates in an other color (e.g. 2005 system ISD: add DBG plates in LBG surface to hide the monocoloring).

new question? the clone lieutenant you get when you purchase on the lego website. is it possible to just go to the physical lego store and pick him up without buying a larger set???

It was definitely on screen- this is the ship in Return of the Jedi that crashed into the Death Star when a damaged A-Wing crashed into it's bridge. It's also the reason why all A-Wing lego sets have featured a computer screen with a picture of a star destroyer bridge on it.

There was also a good sideshot of the ship in Empire Strikes Back. I believe it immediately preceded the scene where we see all the bounty hunters with Vader.

Which of LEGO's three AT-TEs is most accurate scale and appearance wise - such as the placement of the turret and overall length?

I've got a few of these sets, and one Star Wars 2013 Advent Calendar, and it's my intention to sell the minifigs from the sets at some point. I know the antenna piece from 6004908 attaches to Jango's helmet (given all of the spares, I plan on including one with the Advent version as well), but what are the visors for? I can see they would also attach to the helmets of both Jango and the Clone Trooper, but I don't know what to do with them or what purpose they serve in the Star Wars theme.

In looking at the other sets the parts come with, it doesn't appear that the minifigs in those sets use the visors either, just the antenna. Help!

They're used as visors mainly in the CW sub-theme. Commander Cody has one, as does one or two generic clone troopers. The dk red antenna were used with the ARC trooper, but you could easily give him a visor, if you have multiples.
