DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 II have a question regarding the release of the 2015 winter wave: Can anybody tell me when these will be available in Germany? If I remember correctly, I was able to pick up some of the 2014 winter wave early at the lego store, but I could be wrong. Thanks in advance. Quote
duboismerci Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Anyone knows what sales we are getting for black friday in Canada? Thanks Quote

merman Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 I have the chance to buy both 10188 and 10221 new, being my first SW sets ever. I know 10221 is out of production and 10188 might be out of production soon. Set 10188 I will be able to buy with 20% discount and 10221 for full price. My question is: what are the odds I will be able to resell both sets? I am not planning to directly resell them, but let's say I would like to do so in the future, what is the resell/used marked with UCS SW sets like? I don't want to make any profit out of it, but what are the odds of reselling 10221 for EUR 400 and 10188 for 325 euros? Maybe this topic would fit more in the selling/buying forum, but since you guys are the SW experts, I'd love to hear your opinions... And when we speak about it, what set has your preference? Quote
Lobot Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Hi, there's a general SW Q&A thread pinned at the top of the forum, I'll merge this with it in a bit Regarding your question, I'd guess that 10221 will do better in the after-market that 10188. Although 10188 is a great set, it's been available since 2008 and there's a lot of them around! As with most things, it will be a case of supply and demand, and time will tell. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Maybe it's a stupid question , but could it be that the 75054 AT-AT is retiring? I know it's only been out for +-6 months, but more and more stores are out-of-stock....even some Amazon sites. I was waiting for a good deal (and thought I had PLENTY of time (at least another 6 months)), so should I act quick now? (or is it just that this is a popular set for the holidays and stores will have it again soon?) Quote

(or is it just that this is a popular set for the holidays and stores will have it again soon?) odds are that it's only sold out due to holidays, and will appear again once things calm down. its not uncommon for some of the higher dollar sets to end up out of stock for their first holiday season. also consider that for the Americans (me) we've only had access to it for about 3months now. if they pulled it after that short of a time period it's sales would have to be horrid. and if I recall the reverse has been the case for this one. it sold out for about a week through Shop at Home, when it first came available for me. Robianco Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 It's been £70 on Amazon UK for around the past week or so Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 It's been £70 on Amazon UK for around the past week or so Amazon UK doesn't have it in stock...only 3rd parties and the cheapest is 90 GBP (I just checked). ALso, 70GBP + shipping would've been more than the € 87 (with free shipping) I paid. This was the last summer wave set I wanted (I got the Ghost, Phantom, ISD, Cantina, Snowspeeder, B-Wing earlier). hallonsylt Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Hi Forum! This is my very first post here on Eurobricks, let me know if this topic should be anywhere else. I'm thinking about mounting my Millenium Falcon to the wall in my room. Question: Is the original "base construction" strong enough to carry the weight of the Falcon while it is mounten on the wall, or do I have to modify it to be stronger? I want to mount ut flat to the wall with the underside againt the wall, replacing the bottom cannons with some sort of metal construction functioning as a giant hook. Just let the "base construction" rest against the hook. Thanks /Oscar Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 I think I saw a falcon hanged on a wall somewhere, but I'm not really sure... You can check instructions to get an image of how its built. Oh and welcome Quote

Roders Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 Hi to everyone here, I've just joined up after buying my first LEGO set today since I was a kid. I got the X-Wing 10240 set for £125 at Argos in the UK and I can't wait to get more UCS sets in the future. With the teaser release it's been a great day all round. Question: I've started the build and the third bag has 2 pieces missing (along with 2 extra pieces that shouldn't be there). Is this normal and should I expect the pieces to show up in another bag? I don't know whether to stop building and contact LEGO or keep going & hope they turn up. Any help would be appreciated. Quote

The Falcon has a very sturdy Technic frame that can probably be extended through the ventral hull. You can then construct a technic base and mount that to the wall with some anchor screws. simply pinning the frame extensions to the wall base will secure the entire model. I would also consider adding a few small wires to sort of tie them together for added security. Give us an update here, as I'm probably not the only one interested to see how this works out. As with any set, especially the premium UCS sets, I expect the packing to be perfect. However, sometimes, there are hiccups in the process although these are few and far between. I would replace the missing pieces with something else temporarily just to finish the model, then see if you find the parts. You can replace the missing ones if you have to, simply by calling or e-mailing TLG customer Service. I have had to do this only a couple of times, but they are very nice and helpful, and will gladly send you the parts for free. Good luck. Quote

Alfadas Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 One question about the trailer, why does the dude with the red lightsaber a lightsaber with sidebars??? And why is there a ball astromech?? What's wrong with the normal ones?? The new stormtroopers look very badass, maybe now they can shoot something. Quote
Robianco Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 The sidebars as a hilt have been around in SW lore for a little while haven't they? I don't think they'll neccessarily create a new mould for them. Quote
atlas Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 I don't see why they wouldn't, it would be a fairly cheap exercise compared to a new alien head mold or something like that. Didn't they cast a new one for the. Inquisitor's lightsaber from the Rebels cartoon? The villain wielding that saber seems like they will be a fairly important character in the film, so it only really makes sense for Lego to hype their new figures as much as possible with that kind of thing. I sense much good LEGO SW sets winter 2015 & 2016 :D BTW the MF has a different radar dish :O Nice detail! Didn't even spot that one in the trailer! Remember Lando hitting the sattelite dish against the innards of the death star in the return of the jedi? I don't know whether to stop building and contact LEGO or keep going & hope they turn up. Any help would be appreciated. First of all, welcome to EB! I think the odds are higher you've made a mistake somewhere in the build, considering you got your first SW set since years. Extra pieces are normal though! One question about the trailer, why does the dude with the red lightsaber a lightsaber with sidebars??? And why is there a ball astromech?? What's wrong with the normal ones?? The new stormtroopers look very badass, maybe now they can shoot something. I think it's rather strange they did change the stormtroopers, but did keep the X-wings and Tie Fighters. I may have expected some new technology in the year between, like E-wings or fighters that are looking mint, and for the Empire they had all kind off Tie Interceptors which were a ton better, and I think the average Tie pilot would have liked a hyperdrive on his ship! BTW: Am I the only one who thinks that voice-over is irritating? -"have you felt it?"- not to speak about that stormie without helmet. Quote
