The 2011 version I talk about is this one.

*snip*

Sorry about the mistake in my previous post at here. The version that I say that are not well designed is actually the 2005 version.

Saying this one is well designed could be considered a stretch as well IMO..

Thanks for the tips guys. Also do any of you own the 2010 clone turbo tank. How is it?

I have the 2010 turbo tank. I really enjoy it and the only problem I have with it is that one of the wheel holders become unattached if your holding it by the handle.

I found it a rather enjoyable set. There are a few massive holes in the interior that can be patched up and you do get a nice selection of minifigures.

What's the general opinion on 75106 Imperial Assault Carrier?

Im looking at buying a bigger SW set, and this one grabs my fancy the most (already have a modded 6211 ISD, not a falcon fan, and the current UCS models dont do it either), i can find it for ~15% under MSRP.

From my point of view:

+ already have the other Imperial sets from Rebels, so this would complete my Lothal garrison

+ really like the Gozanti in the Rebels series

- Already have Kallus

- Not too big a fan of the small Tie-fighters, i might have to make a big stand for the ship so its not sitting on the Ties

- Ship might require some extensive modding to give it a smoother profile

Personally, i cant get over the scale conflict within this set, particularly the Tie fighters vs Minifigures in the main ship. I think Lego should take the route of the Avengers aircraft carrier on these types of sets

The use of the microfigs in this kind of down-scaled set will be nice, but this can also ruining the money value and playability of a set. We get a set because while we like the set, we also want the minifigures. TLG understand this and in both Star Destroyer from last year and the Assault Carrier from this year cases, it will include minifigures, not microfigs like in the SHIELD Helicarrier.

I can see your point, but that applies to pretty much everything except for speederbikes and small fighters, everything is off on scale. Ill be modifying the cockpit window to look less ridiculous, and just set it up as a display model rather then a play-thing anyway.

Just ordered it by the way, €25 below MSRP is decent enough, and it completes my Rebels Imperial lineup (save for the speeder bike in the kanan set), and its something different from a star destroyer for a big set :)

And this pretty much guarantees that the next Rebels wave will have an Arquitens class cruiser, given that that was the one thing i would prefer over a Gozanti.

I didn't want it at first. I had the AT-DP and I ordered a loose Sabine figure with a helmet. But, I got it a little more than a month ago, it was $34 off (26.5%) at Walmart and my wife wanted it. I thoroughly enjoyed putting it together and I like looking at it. It almost strikes me as a MOC someone here would have come up with.

I'm just getting into using LDD, so sorry for the dumb question, but how do you move connected pieces or entire builds? Or say you want to build components and add them to a larger build, like building landing gear and then adding it to a ship?

When you have the normal mouse tool, there's a small button under it that says connected selection, use that or multiple selection, but multiple you have to click every pice you want to move, connected, moves all connected pieces

Is there still a way to get the C-3PO in the UK without getting it off of a reseller and if not, would you say that it is worth the aftermarket prices or should I just wait for it to come out in a set?

Which C-3PO? TFA version is in TRU for £4.99. There should be a new one in the Droid Escape set coming in the new year so wait if you want an OT version.

I went to TRU in times square which is my local store and they wouldn't sell me the C3-PO. You have to buy $40 worth of Lego to be able to qualify for it. Anyone else getting this problem

They don't even have that promo in Canada...we get ripped off so much here...

they made a mistake on there website saying that it can be bought for 4.99 tell them that and they have to give it to you. well its over now so u should be able to buy one, the promotion lasted one day

I want to know how people on BL have SEVENTY-TWO of the new polybag C3PO's for sale?!?

That worked, thank you! I wasn't doing it right.

I wouldn't worry about scoring a TFA C-3PO. There's still two other movies to come which will definitely feature C-3PO and who knows how many spin-offs that might. It's not any spoiler material - but C-3PO and R2 will definitely live through all the movies. I would bet that like the Winter Soldier polybag, we'll see C-3PO later with less printing.

I doubt Disney will deliberately announce the retirement of "Slave Leia". More likely, it will just fade away and fewer or no new products will be made. I doubt we'll ever get confirmation from an actual source in Disney. Either way Slave Leia is no where near Leia's best appearance, so it would be good to see products back of it.

At first I thought the imperial assault carrier was a new ship untill I watched some TCW again and saw there was a sepratist version and a regular one. I'm thinking if I should get it or not.

I was originally not going to get the Carrier, but did in the end. It's far from being in scale with everything else, but I like it. The minifigs are all nice.
